Nestle Double Cream Egg

Advantages: Creamy chocolate, sensible packaging

...I have been a fan of Cadbury's Creme Eggs (CCE) since I was a small child and can't wait till they get them in the shops shortly after Christmas. I decided to try these new Nestle Double Cream eggs though after seeing alot of advertising for them in magazines and on bus shelters etc. At Tesco a 3 pack costs 98p and they can be bought single which are slightly dearer at 36p. To compare them to CCE, the availability is nowhere near as good and neither is the pack size: This 3 pack is the largest available but CCE go right up to a box of 18 for real chocoholics! They are available in every newsagent or small shop but you can't even get Nestle Double Cream Eggs from Woolworths - Unbelievable. A mouthful of cream.. yum, yum!

Disadvantages: The bits of roasted cocoa, probably won't be about much after Easter

...Well, now Christmas is safely out of the way for another year (well, just under 11 months but who's counting?) the shops have started filling their shelves with Easter eggs. Now by no stretch of the imagination could I be called a scrooge when it comes to all occasions chocolatey but isn't it still just a wee bit early? Anyway, they're here so I wanted one! I didn't fancy a Caramel egg and I don't like Cream Eggs so when I spotted the wonderousness that is Nestle Double Cream in egg form I handed over my 50p and raced home to sample it. Cream Egg Ice Cream without the Cream Egg taste.

Advantages: Different to current ice creams on the market
Disadvantages: Just cause it says Cream Egg, doeant mean that is is.

...I love cream eggs, in fact I love them a bit too much. After easter I buy so many in the clearance sales that Im sick of them by the end of the day, then morning comes and the craving is back! Cream Eggs sell so well during easter that it makes sence for Cadburys to try and market their product throughout the year. The new Cream Egg Bar was OK, but not as nice as the egg. The Cream Egg ice cream tub was a nice treat but didnt really remind me of the cream egg. All in one miracle cream!

...Well, with the amount of chocolate ops I've written lately, you've probably guessed that I'm a keen lover of chocolate! So, when shopping in Sainburys the other day and saw 'Nestle Double Cream Mini Eggs' on sale - I couldn't resist. Well, I couldn't, could I?! Priced at £0.99p for 112g, I didn't think they were too badly priced. The packaging is easily recognisable from Nestle. The chocolate eggs come in a mainly chocolatey coloured rown packet with a light cream colour in the centre with the Nestle name in the centre. There's a swirl of blue surrounding the cream.
