Creative Indeed
Review of Creative ZEN MicroPhoto 8 GB Black by
Hix2005
Advantages: Sound, Colour, Battery life and Build Quality.
Disadvantages: Sensitivity
...I have had the Microphoto now for 6 weeks and having tried out all the functions and getting the grips with it I feel in a position to give a realistic and honest view on the Creative Zen Microphoto. I purchased the Creative Zen Microphoto to replace my Creative 20GB Touch which I accidentally broke.
I shopped around for a mp3 player and settled on the Creative Zen Microphoto mainly because of the Creative software which is easy to use. Also the ability to use it as an external hard drive helps me keep everything in one place neat and organised.
The pros are the great sound quality, the bright colourful display, the mp3 player's software system which is very intuitive and the value for money of the Zen when compared to an Ipod. The build quality is good and feels solid in your hand and even onto the floor a few times. The battery life...

An Amazing Player
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
Mico_Von_Coolio
Advantages: Ergonomic, Light, Easy to use, Protective case
Disadvantages: Scratches easily, Ocassional Crashes
...I have owned 4 MP3 Players and the Creative Zen Touch is simply the best of all of them. It is easy to use, although very flexible for more advanced users. It looks good, its feels good. The software provided is Excellent, In the package with the Zen you recieve The Creative Mediasource software suite, which comprises of an Audio converter, which can convert between MP3 WMA and WAV files. There is a media player/organizer which i believe sufficient to replace WinAMP with. Also provided is Nomad Explorer, a more simple program for transfering music and data to and from the MP3 Player.
The Player itself is very reliable. And the battery life comes close to 24 hourse when fully charged. I have found this to be adaquete in most situations. The Creative Zen touch is very comfortable in the hand and has a smooth plastic/metalic look...

Creative Zen Touch- Great MP3!
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
nollie99
Advantages: Great Sound Quality, Long Battery Life, Looks Nice, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Can be hard to see screen in a certain light, supplied earphones terrible, quite large
...(*'s Out of 5)
I received the Creative Zen Touch for my birthday in October (at a guess I'd say it cost around £170) and I have been extremely pleased with it since- I haven't even filled half of its large 20GB capacity.
What's in the box: Creative Zen Touch MP3 Player, USB 1.1/2.0 cable, Quick Start Manual, Creative Zen Touch case, Creative earphones and charger.
Looks: ****and a half- I think this Creative Zen Touch looks very nice, the buttons have been neatly placed, the blue backlit screen gives it a very nice edge and everything just seems to fit in, it's slightly larger and heavier than the iPod, but that's just a minor con because it feels sturdy and of high quality.
Ease of Use: ***** This is extremely simple to navigate, even my Dad knew how to work it!! Straight out of the box, it's a simple matter ofplugging it in...

Creative Zen Touch 20GB-excellent alternative buy
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
Bontor13486
Advantages: Great capacity and Sound quality. Looks Different.
Disadvantages: Could be simpler to use more quickly.
...Having originally planned to purchase another mp3 player, I decided to go for the Creative Zen Touch 20GB when I saw the way it looked, and the fact that it was of a significantly different design to the ubiquitous ipod. Firstly, the capacity is great-i'll probably never fill this with all the music I ever listen to, at last count 473 mp3 tracks. The sound quality is superb, but depends upon the original quality of the mp3 tracks you have downloaded. Some are better than others. The player is easy to use straight out of the box, although quickly getting to a specific song from start up can take a lot longer than you might imagine. I guess the manufacturer could have simplified the menu system for when you just want to listen anything random. So far the battery has lasted 3 hours on average, although I like loud music...

excellent product
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
oasiskp
Advantages: compact, fast access to files, lots of space
Disadvantages: touch button sometimes too fast
...I bought the Creative Zen Touch around 6 months ago and have been extremely happy with it so far. Previous to this I owned the Creative Nomad Jukebox 3, which lasted 18 months and still works to this day.
The first thing to notice is the size, compared to previous Creative MP3 players it is small and compact, fitting easily into the pocket. It has an extremely intuitive menu interface where files can be navigated to by Artist, album, genre or playlist.
The players interface puts all the buttons right where you need them, with play, skip forward, backward, pause, volume and on/off having buttons without needing to use the menu. Also on the front is a 'random' button which I find myself using a lot, randomly playing songs from your archive.
the PC software it comes with is also extremely efficient and easy to install and use...

Creative Zen 20 GB
Review of Creative Zen 20 GB Black by
pretty_vacant
Advantages: easy to use interface, good sound quality
Disadvantages: size, price
...Creative being a brand i trust due to positive experiences with their sound cards i purchased this product around 12 months ago. I paid £160 for the product.
It is available in white or black with silver detail and the blue lighs make it stylish and appealing.
It has 20 gb of storage, an fm radio, a voice recorder, alarm clock, calander, charger and comes with good software for your computer.
I've been mostly happy with the performance of it but wouldnt be certain that it is good value due to the large amount of money which i spent on it. It has extremely good sound quality and stores up to 20gb of music or data which seems a good amount to suit my needs. It is very easy to use as it reads file tags and seperates music by artist, genre or album. It is reliable and has survivied a fair few beatings in its time.
Sdly, it is quite bulky...

Songs Of Praise
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
iain1010
Advantages: Cheap, Stores a lot, nice looking
Disadvantages: heavy, quite large
...The Creative Zen 20GB, what an mps player. Not only is it cheaper than it's rival the ipod it stores many more songs. I own a Creative Zen 20GB myself and i love it, itis software on the computer is easy to put on and the Zen itself it very easy to use. The way to choose things from the menu is touch control pad "up and downwards" unlike the round touch pad of the ipod. The senceativity of the touch panel can be changed, it also has many diffrent eq settings and also a custom eq setting. The menus on the Zen is easy on us with a simple click on the ok button to proced on. The sound quality is great but also depend on what quality mp3's you have. The mp3 is also very Durable as i found out when i droped it on a cobbled street, it made a small dent in the back but ketp playing and didn't skip at all.
The bad thing about the Zen is that it...

Good
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
kim4owen
Advantages: Amazing Value For Money
Disadvantages: Nothing
...I brought this in December 04 and i am still using it now!
I have had no problems with it.
if you go to there website, you can download updates to it.
It holds 20 GB worth of music in MP3 & WMA format files.
This is more then enough music storage!!
It has 20 hour battery life which is brillant (via the charger thats included)
You get computer software with it which is simple to use, it is easy to tranfer music via CD or the computer to the Zen Touch.
The sound of the music from it is great all though i recommand buying a pair of headphones, the ones supplied arnt that geat.
Theres EQ settings pop, rock etc
The best thing is the Touch Slide, you just slide your finger up and down it to move through menus and stroll though your entire song collection
it fits in pockets easier and its pretty light
The Creative Zen Touch...

Creative Zen Master.........
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
sonicbrew
Advantages: never seems to malfuntion
Disadvantages: its just about 2mm too big for my pocket
...in a world of thiefs and me loosing stuff i have my C.Z.T permanents rigged to my PC. its my 2nd hard drive where all my music is stored which i put on to my smaller mp3 player before i got to school in the morning. saves my £165 piece of kit getting nicked or broken.
this machine comes with a sync program called creative media organiser which allows you to move songs around from device to device efficiently, so with that i just listen to music on the PC from that, saving my pc 20gb of space.
how ever, when on the go this player kicks out an awesome sound, which is fully customisable, with an eq with an ample range of presets, or make your own. this was one of the first non ipod music players to have a touch scroll reel, and hey, if its too fast/slow change it, i think the only thing you cant change is the backlight colour.
ok, so...

Creative Zen Touch 20 gig
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
Waylander77
Advantages: Long battery life, cheap.
Disadvantages: Some controls are fiddley
...the other keys.
The last gripe seems to be a common problem. When you try to upgrade the players firmware, so that you can use mp3's purchased online, you need to have Windows Mediaplayer 10 installed. I have the latest version (11), and it wiped everything off of the player, leaving it in 'Recovery' mode. A search on the internet showed that there were quite a few people with the same problems, and that Creative had basically washed their hands of the problem if you were out of warranty. It was fixed, in the end, by installing the firmware from a computer at work that still had Mediaplayer 10 on.
Since the installation of the new firmware, the player has been working great again, and now Mediaplayer 11 recognises it.
All in all a great player. Well worth buying if you are only after music....
