Creative Zen Touch 20GB -> Worth the Money
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
ff2k
Advantages: Large Capacity, Good Quality, Nice Design, Excellent Price and Great Battery Life
Disadvantages: Touch pad difficult to use, Nomad software is poor
...I purchased a Creative Zen Touch from the internet a couple of months ago, and it has proved to be a great MP3 player. It has a nice design with a 'brushed metal' feel around the edges, and a smooth feel in the center. I purchased the 20GB version, which offers a huge capacity for storing music, and files as well.
[CAPACITY vs PRICE]
Compared to Apple's iPod, the Creative Zen Touch offers more space for the money you pay. For example, I purchased the Zen touch for about £150, while at that time, the iPod 20GB version was available for about £200. This price difference is one main aspect that sets the iPod and the Zen Touch apart.
[DESIGN]
Many users may prefer the design of the iPod, which is shiny and sleek, and more publicly recognised. The Zen Touch uses a 'touch pad' while the iPod uses a 'touch/click wheel' or whatever you...

Creative Zen 20 GB
Review of Creative Zen 20 GB by
pretty_vacant
Advantages: easy to use interface, good sound quality
Disadvantages: size, price
...Creative being a brand i trust due to positive experiences with their sound cards i purchased this product around 12 months ago. I paid £160 for the product.
It is available in white or black with silver detail and the blue lighs make it stylish and appealing.
It has 20 gb of storage, an fm radio, a voice recorder, alarm clock, calander, charger and comes with good software for your computer.
I've been mostly happy with the performance of it but wouldnt be certain that it is good value due to the large amount of money which i spent on it. It has extremely good sound quality and stores up to 20gb of music or data which seems a good amount to suit my needs. It is very easy to use as it reads file tags and seperates music by artist, genre or album. It is reliable and has survivied a fair few beatings in its time.
Sdly...

Creative Zen Touch 20GB-excellent alternative buy
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
Bontor13486
Advantages: Great capacity and Sound quality. Looks Different.
Disadvantages: Could be simpler to use more quickly.
...Having originally planned to purchase another mp3 player, I decided to go for the Creative Zen Touch 20GB when I saw the way it looked, and the fact that it was of a significantly different design to the ubiquitous ipod. Firstly, the capacity is great-i'll probably never fill this with all the music I ever listen to, at last count 473 mp3 tracks. The sound quality is superb, but depends upon the original quality of the mp3 tracks you have downloaded. Some are better than others. The player is easy to use straight out of the box, although quickly getting to a specific song from start up can take a lot longer than you might imagine. I guess the manufacturer could have simplified the menu system for when you just want to listen anything random. So far the battery has lasted 3 hours on average, although I like loud music...

Creative Zen Sleek 20 GB
Review of Creative Zen Sleek 20 GB by
Chavs
Advantages: Sleek Design, Amazing Sound, Easy Interface
Disadvantages: Dust under screen
...As a fairly new user to mp3 players I was quite skeptical on spending 150 pounds on a new mp3 player. After experience with a cheaply bought mp3 player from Ebay, which ruined 3 sets of headphones, consumed AAA batteries like water and a horrific loading time, I was ready to move on, but the question was to which mp3 player?
After narrowing down the mp3 players that were on the market, the Creative Zen Sleek was against the Ipod Mini. For me the main factors were: Size, HDD space, Design, Functionality, Battery Life and Cost.
Size: The size of the Zen Sleek and the Ipod Mini are almost the same, although the zen does weigh a negliable difference, it is almost unnoticably different size wise.
HDD Space: Zen having its 20 GB Hard disk drive, really took me by surpise, in such a small space, they managed to fit in 20 Gigs of memory...

Creative Zen Touch 20GB MP3
Review of Creative Zen Touch 40 GB by
madferit76
Advantages: Tiny, Compact and easy to Use
Disadvantages: Battery Life is non existant at times
...The Strengths of this Mp3 is a Great design, excellent sound quality, simple to use, great value for the price
The Weaknesses: Not as many "extras" as other players, touchpad is a little hard to get used to
I decided to buy myself an early Christmas present and get an MP3 player. First, I had to decide if I wanted a flash-memory-based player or a hard-drive based. I decided didn't need it for workouts or active movements and wanted more space, so I ruled out the flash-based players.
Then, I had to decide between the 4-5 GB players and the 20-40 GB players. For the 4-5GB players I considered the Ipod Mini, and the Creative Zen Micro. I think if I had gone for the 4-5GB players, I would have bought the Creative Zen Micro.
But, I ultimately decided to go for the 20-40GB because I wanted to fit my entire CD collection...

Finding my Creative side
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
sandemp
Advantages: Massive battery life | Holds up to twice as many tracks as the iPod
Disadvantages: Supplied case is naff
...Some people are never satisfied ! I'd bought my husband a 512MB MP3 player for Christmas and filled it with music, but he regularly informed me that there wasn't enough variety in the music it could hold and he really needed something that could hold even more. So I spent some time searching the internet, and reading reviews on various sites and came to the conclusion that the Creative Zen Touch with 20GB Hard Drive was the best value for money. So lets see if my conclusion was right or whether I'd bought a dud….
---First Impressions (The Packaging)---
Now if I was going by very first impressions I would say that the packaging was a bad start. The player wasn't packed in a nice stylish box, but was actually in that sealed plastic that needs to be hacked open with a pair of scissors. I personally hate this type of packaging, it...

Creatively Getting In Touch With My Zen
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
dreamkin
Advantages: Great battery life, easy to use and attractive design
Disadvantages: Heavy, bulky and the accompanying software isn't up to much.
...I've wanted an MP3 player for a while now, and recently bought myself a Creative Zen Touch, on the advice of my ex-boyfriend who assured me that they were the best on the market. As I was determined to get anything other than an iPod, I agreed to try it out.
So what is my verdict?
Let's cover the basics of the Zen Touch.
Creative has managed to secure itself a pretty good reputation in the MP3 field, and while Apple still reigns surpreme other companies such as Creative and IRiver are finally beginning to give Apple a run for it's money.
The Zen Touch measures 106mm by 68mm by 24mm, which is quite bulky when compared to others on the market - it's also considerably heavy to someone used to a midget mobile phone. However, the 20gb capacity explains it large size. Advertised as having storage for 'up to 10,000 songs...

Creative have done it again...
Review of Creative Zen Portable Media Center 20 GB by
astralseraph
Advantages: Style, excellent screen, long battery life, big storage - ipod eat your heart out
Disadvantages: Bit bulky, small buttons
...What can I say about the Creative Zen Portable Media Center? How about, I almost wet myself when I got this little gadget for Christmas, I was so excited. But enough of my bodily functions, lets talk about this nifty thing and why everyone should own one.
Look
The first thing that anyone would notice is the look – a little cool black box, which comes with its own funky little black case. How could anyone want for anything more? I must admit, I’m completely shallow when it comes to cool looking gadgets.
Storage Capacity
Enough of the complete shallowness, what’s probably one of the more important features of the Portable Media Center (PMC) is the huge storage capacity, coming in at 20 GB. I must admit though, I would have preferred something close to 40 GB, but it seems that 20 GB is more than enough. I was surprised how much...

Creative Zen Touch - weighing up the pros and cons
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
duck24
Advantages: Very easy to use, massive battery life, excellent value
Disadvantages: A bit heavy, hard to make playlists, casing
...in the car, or on a long journey when you don't want to change track all the time, need to use the playlist function, so this would be my major criticism of the Zen Touch. There is also nothing like the I-Trip, which enables the MP3 player to connect wirelessly to the radio, therefore it cannot be used as anything other than a personal music player.
I like it because it's quite big and heavy, but some people may find this a turn-off. It does make a bulge in your pocket and, although it's 20GB (like the I-pod mini), it weighs more than the full-size Ipod (which has twice the capacity). Although a great machine, it's not the most stylish by any stretch of the imagination. But then again, compared with some of the new MP3s on the market, neither is Apple's ever-popular I-pod.
It almost sounds like I'm rubbishing the Zen Touch - but where...

Creative Zen Touch- Great MP3!
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
nollie99
Advantages: Great Sound Quality, Long Battery Life, Looks Nice, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Can be hard to see screen in a certain light, supplied earphones terrible, quite large
...(*'s Out of 5)
I received the Creative Zen Touch for my birthday in October (at a guess I'd say it cost around £170) and I have been extremely pleased with it since- I haven't even filled half of its large 20GB capacity.
What's in the box: Creative Zen Touch MP3 Player, USB 1.1/2.0 cable, Quick Start Manual, Creative Zen Touch case, Creative earphones and charger.
Looks: ****and a half- I think this Creative Zen Touch looks very nice, the buttons have been neatly placed, the blue backlit screen gives it a very nice edge and everything just seems to fit in, it's slightly larger and heavier than the iPod, but that's just a minor con because it feels sturdy and of high quality.
Ease of Use: ***** This is extremely simple to navigate, even my Dad knew how to work it!! Straight out of the box, it's a simple matter ofplugging...
