...I bought the Creative Zen Touch around 6 months ago and have been extremely happy with it so far. Previous to this I owned the Creative Nomad Jukebox 3, which lasted 18 months and still works to this day. The first thing to notice is the size, compared to previous Creative MP3 players it is small and compact, fitting easily into the pocket. It has an extremely intuitive menu interface where files can be navigated to by Artist, album, genre or playlist. The players interface puts all the buttons right where you need them, with play, skip forward, backward, pause, volume and on/off having buttons without needing to use the menu. Also on the front is a 'random' button which I find myself using a lot, randomly playing songs from your archive. the PC software it comes with is also extremely efficient and easy to install and use... Advantages: huge storage space

...and that Creative are bringing out there newest Muvo as i type but to me if Apple can bring out and iPod a quater the size of the Nomad on the first attempt then surly Creative could have scaled down ther behemoth alittle. Memory 40 gig do i need say more (AMAZING AND FAST) Pc Interface On usb 2 this maching seriously smokes downloads are fast (1.5 gig in less than 70 seconds) Windows Xp finds the device efficently and quickly but i would say use the disk and put the Creative drivers on as well as the Creative nomad interface its much easier to transfer from pc to nomad and vice versa Software = As a rule im normaly skeptical of the bundle software with a product knowing that wot i usually have installed will work much better but with the nomad this is not true Creative have made the software interface from pc to nomad... ...The first thing you notice about the Jukebox Zen Xtra is that it is noticably larger than most of the other MP3 players on the market, It does however act as an external hard drive so you can use it to store a whole variety of things, not just MP3's. Other than that I liked the way the jukebox looked, the sceen was big and clear and the buttons were well labled so it was easy to just pick up and use. The instructions you recieve with the player are OK but they are not very in depth, the software is easy to install though and once you have used it it is simple enough. I had a problem with my jukebox where it would lose MP3's I had loaded on to it and the instructions did not tell me how to reset it. I had to look on the creative website which is much better than the instruction book and I wish I had looked there before i started... Read review

Advantages: 150 albums in your pocket - say no more!
Disadvantages: Battery life is a bit lousy

...Imagine it - one device that stores ALL your music collection! Sounds good. Now imagine that it;s portable! Now imagine that it looks funky too! Yep, you've got the Creative Jukebox (or the NOMAD as it is called stateside). This little wonder hold 6Gb of MP3 files which if stored in 128kbps means you can have 150 albums on the little thing. And it is little bigger than a Personal CD player! The build quality is prettu sturdy, although obviously you have to be gentle carrying aroud a hard drive in your trousers. And the battery life could be longer - a hard drive means you've got moving parts so it is more intensive than a normal RAM based MP3. But overall, what you have here is a machine that will see the death of teh cassette based walkman. As time goes by we'll get bigger hard drives, better battery life and smaller design... ...When I was buying my MP3 player the inevitable 'zen or ipod' question did, of course, arise. In the end I chose the Zen mainly for the fact that for slightly more memory, it was about £100 cheaper. This was over a year ago, so now the prices have become more competitive, yet if I had to make the decision again I would still choose the Creative player. The reason I love the player so much is because of how easy it is to use. The large screen and scroll wheel make manoveuring around the player very simple, personally I organise all my music into albums, so it looks more organised and makes finding tracks easy. However, you can also scroll through tracks by artist and genre, and look at each track individually. The search function is easy to use, and the shuffle function also works well. ...good choice and a solid mp3 player that I would definitely recommend to others. If you want a larger in-built hard drive for example, you will have to pay far more and probably end up with something that looks more like a CD player than anything (e.g. Creative Jukebox) rather than something compact and easy to use which the Nomad really has in it’s favour. Final Word --------------- The main bad points of the player are the peripherals, such as the headphones which are really not great, however most people have extra headphones so it probably won’t be a problem for many. The Create Nomad MuVo2 is an unyielding mp3 player that lives up to the hype and lasts the distance with good durability. ...The Nomad is sleek and equally as important is ever so light. The newest features on Mp3 players is FM radio. The Nomad had this function and can store up to 32-preset FM stations, thus expanding its excellent use. The Nomad takes over from Minidisc players in the recording department. Up to 4-hrs can be recorded via the inbuilt microphones. The battery (1AA) lasts up to 8 hrs and is therefore not up to Minidisc standards. An estimate of 21 songs can be recorded onto the 64mb card and this allows for up to 60 minutes of playback which is in fact not great but at least the radio is an added bonus. Songs can be transferred from your PC via the very fast USB cable. I have not tested how long it takes for the songs to download onto the player but believe me it does not take very long at all. ...Having researched several mp3 players I finally concluded that the NOMAD Jukebox 3 was the best value for my money... and I wasn't disappointed. It's really easy to use, and there doesn't seem to be any feature you could want that is missing. Also, the 20Gb of memory mean it is great for owners of large CD collections (I have over 2000 songs on mine now and it's still not even half full!). The removable battery means that, if it ever does freeze and you can't turn it off, you can simply take the battery out, although I have not needed to do this since upgrading the firmware (easily done via the Creative support site). There is even space for a second battery if you feel like doubling the battery life. The one thing that I feel really sets the Jukebox 3 apart from other mp3 players is the infra-red remote control - a genius idea, it makes... Read review

Advantages: Size of Hard Drive and Ease of use

.... A selection of classical music is preloaded as are a few different "tracks" that teach you the finer points of the player and how to work it. The package comes with the player, a charger, one battery,a driver and program disc for the PC,a set of headphones, instructions and an excellent leather carry case which protects the unit from those annoying scratches that wear and tear brings. The facia is interchangeable although i have yet to locate a source to buy further covers, should the need arise. At £8 from a source on Ebay a spare battery can provide longer playing time than your ever likely to need, bringing the choice of just which song to play first !! All in all this 60GB version of what is an excellent product that is integrated with Creative (yes, those of PC sound card fame) EAX which can give the impression the sound is coming from...
