...I recieved my creative zen micro photo as a replacement for my late Ipod mini (4gb), I was shocked when I initially tore open the packaging with an unnatural force, inside I found: *My creative zen microphoto (in black) *Creative earphones (Quality wasn't great, obviously a knock-off of the *Ipod headphones) *Leather pouch *battery *CD with software *cable Lets start with the Zen, ok, it has no buttons and some users will find the toch-interface quite annoying (as my freind put is a f***ing waste of time) the screen quality could be better and the photo-display mode seems to be a bit of a gimmick, (the photos are blurry). I only really needed the Zen for music and, after uploading the songs onto it (this can be done with media player or the bundled software which is complicated and harder to use than the traditional itunes... ...I purchased the Creative Zen for two of my kids for Christmas. After searching the internet for different mp3 and mp4 players I finally decided on this one. The 2.5 inch screen being one of the main reasons. After two weeks of use I must admit there GREAT. Once I had installed the software I was away. The drag and drop system works really and automaticly sorts out music files, picture files and movie files. Movie files are then converted using it's own software into a format that can be played on your Zen. The sound on the earphones supplied is good enough and I was very surprised how watchable the video files were. Now if 4GB is not big enough then there is a slot for SD memory cards, so the Zen can be as big as you want. ...your PC from paid music sites that are (Protected by copyright) will be able to be played by this MP3 Player. Many media sites now have encryped code that stops this form of usage. - 2GB of music storage - 2048MB 2GB is sufficient to play over a 1500 MP3 music tracks. Personally, I do feel that 2GB is sufficient space for audio only, though video's I would claim a 4GB or a 8GB is better suited. The transfer rates are fast due to the fast USB transfer fast - track Windows music browser software. What is a noticeable difference is that it is not an ipod; even though it easily can be mistaken as one. What is noticeably different is the price comparison. - Styled on Apples iPod - The timing for the V Plus Zen launch co-incided with the earlier ipod nano launch earlier this year (2007). ...I have had my player since christmas. I decided to get a new player after i lost my old creative 4GB muvo 2 mp3 player. I'm very happy with creative players and particulaly with creative. My girlfriends player broke and when sent back to creative they sent a replacement without and problems. This player in particular is beautiful, i have the black version, and i love the blue glow that pulses when charging. The radio and removable disk features are great and for users of outlook the tasks / calender and contacts sync could be particualy useful. The software supplied is fantastic and makes playlists and transfering music quick and easy. Chargable through mains or usb makes it truly universal, and easy to take traveling. 5GB is more then enough for the average user, easily holding around 1000 songs at 128bps. ...This is one hell of an amazing MP3 Player, the audio quality is amazing and i love the 5-Channel Equalizer, i usually use the presets as they are good aswell. I bought some Creative earphones off ebay as the original one's had too much treble and not enough bass. This mp3 player is amazing and i use MP to move the files over. I have the 4gb version which i got just under 2 years ago off ebay for £50. The only thing i don't like in it is the OLED screen as i have heard that after lots of use, they fade and there not very good to use outside, apart from that the whole MP3 Player is amazing and it has brilliant battery life. I like the blue rim around the outside of the MP3 player which changes brightness as the MP3 player charges. Over all i would recommend this Zen to Anyone!... Read review

...I have had the Microphoto now for 6 weeks and having tried out all the functions and getting the grips with it I feel in a position to give a realistic and honest view on the Creative Zen Microphoto. I purchased the Creative Zen Microphoto to replace my Creative 20GB Touch which I accidentally broke. I shopped around for a mp3 player and settled on the Creative Zen Microphoto mainly because of the Creative software which is easy to use. Also the ability to use it as an external hard drive helps me keep everything in one place neat and organised. The pros are the great sound quality, the bright colourful display, the mp3 player's software system which is very intuitive and the value for money of the Zen when compared to an Ipod. Disadvantages: Takes a little while to get used to fully, but that's it!

It can store and read windows media audio (wma) files which can be made very small and so you can fit more song on it, not just a FEW more however, over DOUBLE the amount the ipod is capable of storing, I currently have over 2200 stored on mine. It has a built in FM radio, which is a handy tool if you are bored of listening to your own tunes. It is smaller than the Ipod mini which is pretty impressive considering it has a larger capacity. And, last but not least, it is cheaper than the ipod, so comparably you are definitely getting your moneys worth. So, this product is a very serious contender in this market, and in my opinion is the best, I spend countless hours researching the product I am about to buy and this means i make some fairly educated decisions when it comes to buying. ...As a fairly new user to mp3 players I was quite skeptical on spending 150 pounds on a new mp3 player. After experience with a cheaply bought mp3 player from Ebay, which ruined 3 sets of headphones, consumed AAA batteries like water and a horrific loading time, I was ready to move on, but the question was to which mp3 player? After narrowing down the mp3 players that were on the market, the Creative Zen Sleek was against the Ipod Mini. For me the main factors were: Size, HDD space, Design, Functionality, Battery Life and Cost. Size: The size of the Zen Sleek and the Ipod Mini are almost the same, although the zen does weigh a negliable difference, it is almost unnoticably different size wise. ...The creative zen micro touch! This is the mini ipod's main competition -infact probably their only competition. And this certainly gives the mini ipod a run for it's money. Not only does it come with a 20% increase in memory over the apple but it is rated as 50%more battery life. So i decided to put this to the test and got both! **MEMORY** The memory of the creative zen micro is a halfway point between the 6gb and the 4gb mini ipod's. It's 5gb and so this plays roughly 1250 files at 128kbs (mp3) or 2500 songs at 64 kbps (wma) So 2500 is pretty respectible from Creative labs espicially crammed into something as small as this.
