Creative's pride the new Creative Zen
Advantages: Excellent audio, loads of features, price
Disadvantages: A bit sloppy video
...It?s really a heartening arrival from Creative planners and it seems this highly rated organization is getting their acts together. They have had lot of promise and Creative Zen, the latest arrival from their pipeline has established that they have the capacity to live up to the expectations. I always thought that user or customer feedback network is essential the success of products which have to cope of with such massive international competetion and their relentless endeavur to achieve technical perfection which can be provided to the international buyers at an affordable price. When I had the first had a look and a feel of Creative Zen it struck me that this was designed to compete with iPods at a reasonable level, being an iPod heater, Creative Zen has hardly meant a threat to the iPod community. In terms of technology and quality...

Creative Zen Micro
Advantages: Easier to use than I-pod and built in FM radio
Disadvantages: Can have problems long-term
...use my Zen occasionally, although I am looking to get an I-pod very shortly to replace it.
My advice on this product would be if you are not particularly bothered about colour and watching movies etc., and you don't want to put millions of songs on your on mp3, then it probably would be an good idea to purchase the Zen short term (especially as it is a lot chepaer than the I-pod Classic). Although if you want something that will lats you years, then stick with the I-pod because the Zen is prone to problems after a couple of years. Also, it is a bit 'behind the times' at the moment so go for the I-pod. Nonetheless, the Creative Zen Micro has given me a lot of joy over the years and I am still reluctant in binning it for the rival I-pod... so overall I would give this product a 3 star rating....

Creative Zen Micro (6GB)
Advantages: Great sound quality, Scrolling Pad, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Not a great range of features, Non coloured screen background
...the size of a mobile phone, and weighs 108 g. With 6GB it allows you to store up to 2500 songs, which in my opinion is a good amount as most people will not have more than this amount. The Zen also has a pretty impressive battery life (12 hours), however you can only charge it by using a computer, as you do not get a charger with it. The screen looks quite small however is 160 x 104 pixels resolution which is a joy to use. You can also lock the Zen when you do not want to change song or anything by pushing the button that is used to turn the power on to the far right instead of the far left, which would turn it off.
My Verdict
I think the Creative Zen Micro is an exciting, quite revolutionary piece of technology and was especially technological when it first came out (2004), however now is not as impressive as its competitors...

Creative zen
Advantages: reasonable price, looks good, dinky, good battery life, good sound quality.
Disadvantages: NONE:)
...i bought this product in may 2008 for about £80 very reasonable for a new 8gb player considering the ipod of that size and generation cost £120-150. I choose it because i had a muvo and loved the quality but out grew it and after battleing with numerous unbranded models i was sick and tired of rubbish. I am a stong hater of popular branded stuff such as the ipod as people i know have had ipods stolen and broken after a year or so (just after the garentee runs out i think) so i didn't look at the ipods and as me and my brother had both had amazing creative mp3 players with no problems (his zen touch has been running for 4 years and still going strong) i decided to look for a new creative player the mozaic in my opinion was the same thing with an ugly casing and the x-fi was a bit expensive so at the size i needed the zen was ideal...

Creative Zen Micro 6GB
Advantages: Hold alot of songs, long battery life
Disadvantages: Not photo, not colour, not as many features as some
...Currys and it cost me £160. However, nowadays you can get them for much cheaper. At the time i bought mine (around Christmas) you could get them on the internet for about £140, but i was impatient! This is definatly one to shop about for!
The colours available are red (like mine!) blue, black, green, orange, pink, purple and white. I chose red as it was the only one they had left, and after queing up for so long i was not going to leave empty handed!
In the box you get the player (obviously!) headphones, installation cd, instructions and a USB cable. You don't get the charger, as you can charge it through the computer. Things like chargers, speakers etc are sold separatly and the charger for one is well worth buying. The battery life is supposed to be 12 hours, and i find it lasts about that long! I listen to it ALL THE TIME and i only...

Zen will creative be creative?
Advantages: High class processing rates
Disadvantages: Navigation and doldrum design again
...CREATIVE ZEN - MX
Storage - 8 GB
Release date - 05 - 2009
RRP ? 99.99 GBP ? Amazon website via the market-place option
Zen will creative be creative?
=
There are not a lot of life patterns you can be sure of; but when it comes to Creatives new MP3 player launch, the same old design pops its mandatory blue-print into the box of blandness. Yes, I?m talking about the so called new ordinary MX. This years silently released epic from the Creative Lab team. The difference with this model is it?s quirky pointless OCD shift that plays with the navigation direction buttons rather than any major bold steps to bridge the gap with Apple?s flying machine the iPod. Creatives efforts are not with simplify design; but with different processors and technology that they feel capture their loyal client...

Creative Zen Micro
Advantages: Sleek and stylish design, adiquate storage capability, wide variety of colours to choose from, small yet durable design.
Disadvantages: Vertical touch pad can sometimes be a little fiddly, if the batteries are left in when the product is off, the battery is still used up.
...I have owned a creative Zen micro for about 1 year now. Throughout it's usage, it has held up and maintained it's crisp audio clarity, stylish appearance and practicality.
Looks: The Creative Zen micro is a very elegant and stylized product. It delivers intuitive design which is. at times mesmerizing.
The subtle glow of the electric blue back light and screen give this product a aura of style. The light up, touch sensitive buttons are simple and their functions are pretty self explanatory. I bought this product in black, but it is available in a range of 9 other colors most of which are bold and vibrant. But, in my opinion, due to the nature of the blue back light, some colors tend not to look as good as others.
I recommend the silver, black and white versions of this product for this very reason.
Practicality: This product is...

Creative Zen Micro, so glad I bought it!
Advantages: Good shuffle, good battery life, good sound quality
Disadvantages: No coloured screen, pictures or games
...I bought a Creative Zen Micro because my iPod broke a few weeks ago and I could not afford to replace it. I was a bit disappointed that I would have to settle for one of these because I LOVED my iPod but when I got it in the post, charged it up and filled it up with my songs I realised I loved it. It is a fair but chunkier than my previous device but it is not a problem once you get used to it. It has touch sensitive buttons, so you can just slide your finger over it to turn the volume up or down or skip through the tracks. It is very easy to locate your favourite songs if you want to listen to something in particular, and the shuffle function is good too, which is important to me because I hate it when MP3 players choose 25 songs and play the same ones over and over again. It comes in lots of different colours from black, white, pink...

Creative Zen Micro
Advantages: Size, Sound Quality, Value for Money
Disadvantages: No native Windows Vista compatibility, Customer Service when outside warranty
...long as nothing goes wrong you'll be happy with your purchase.
Things started to go wrong for me when the player was 18 months old and it started to reset itself. I followed the instructions on their websites and formatted the player, removed the firmware and went to reinstall it. However, it would not connect to my windows machine. After contacting Creative, they said it sounded like a hardware fault informed me that they don't support the Micro anymore and told me to buy a new player. Not exactly fantastic customer support.
However, my case may well be a one off as I know people with the same player that have had theirs much longer than mine and theirs are still going strong.
All in all, a good value for money player that is still one of the best options out there if all you want is a pure music player and not full colour video....

Creative Zen Micro
Advantages: Radio, Small and compact, value for money
Disadvantages: touch sensitive pad can be difficult to get used to
...the same price and came with a second battery, haven't had to use this yet as the battery has lasted well. One advantage of the battery with this over the i-pod is that the battery on the creative model comes out and can easily be replaced. The i-pod battery is inside and must be sent away to be replaced, too many things can go wrong when you send things away.
I'd say the worst thing about the player is the touch sensitive pad, sometimes it's too sensitive, other times it takes a while to work, can be a little annoying. There is a hold button at the top so if you put the player in your pocket nothing can be pressed.
Wasn't too impressed with the earphones that came with it, found them to be quite chunky so bought some new ones which are great. Also comes with a smart little black pouch to carry it in.
Has the various options to choose...
