Zen Mozaic Review

Advantages: Lightweight, good sound from the speaker, nice user interface
Disadvantages: sometimes laggy, not great video quality

...This is a great little device, it is one of the lightest mp3 players ever and the little speaker in the back is pretty loud. The whole device seems relatively well built, albeit a little plasticky. You would think that the buttons on the front would start to wobble around a bit after a bit of use, but they actually remain pretty sturdy. Let's start with the boot up. From holding the button down to the main screen opening it takes less that a mere 4 seconds! This is a very quick device, and the user interface is very nice, with everything sliding onto the screen when certain buttons are pressed. You can easily click on music, then have it sorted by artist, song e.t.c. In the main music menu, you get quite a nice slideshow of all your album covers. When you select a song to play, it comes up with details of the song and a faint image...

Solid effort from Creative

Advantages: Built-in speakers, easy to use and durable player
Disadvantages: Permanently backlit display

...is very similar to that of other Zen mp3 players so if you've had another Zen then nothing will be a shock in terms of how to work it. The only thing that I've found which appears to be different is that the backlight seems to stay on the whole time. There might be an option to turn this off but it hasn't really bothered me enough to want to find out if there's a way to turn it off. I also found that the range of compatible accessories is good for the Mosaic, I have the speakers and an armband for the gym. Overall I'm very pleased with it, I'm not sure I like the look of it quite as much as the V+ but it does actually look better in person that from pictures on the internet. I'm not a hardcore music fan so 4GB is fine for me but if you want more than 8GB then you might be better picking another player. I can heartily recommend it though...

Creative Zen plus 4Gb

Advantages: Great interface, intuitive, nice size, good sound and video quality, cheap, mains charger avaliable
Disadvantages: in-built battery, shiny surface always shows finger prints, scratches are really noticeable.

...I bought this thing because my old tatty mp3 player with a smashed up screen stopped working. i bought a few really cheap things before it but they didn't really work, one even crashed my computer every time i plugged it in so i opted to spend a bit more and hopefully get something a bit better. usually i think you're paying more just for a brand name but not in this case. overall i love the thing, it fits my needs really well and every time i use it i genuinely think what a good buy it is. The only reason it's four star is because ideally i'd have a matte surface. i'm also a little worried i'll break it because I'm very clumsy and I don't know that it's up to it. Creative zen 32gb - innovative and stylish mp3

...I have owned a Creative ZEN 32gb mp3 player for approximately a year - previous to this I had a much older creative zen which lasted well until it was finally drowned in a deluge of water. As such I was veering towards buying another zen due to my previous positive experiences. Creative's pride the new Creative Zen

Advantages: Excellent audio, loads of features, price

Creative zen

Advantages: reasonable price, looks good, dinky, good battery life, good sound quality.

...i bought this product in may 2008 for about £80 very reasonable for a new 8gb player considering the ipod of that size and generation cost £120-150. I choose it because i had a muvo and loved the quality but out grew it and after battleing with numerous unbranded models i was sick and tired of rubbish. I am a stong hater of popular branded stuff such as the ipod as people i know have had ipods stolen and broken after a year or so (just after the garentee runs out i think) so i didn't look at the ipods and as me and my brother had both had amazing creative mp3 players with no problems (his zen touch has been running for 4 years and still going strong) i decided to look for a new creative player the mozaic in my opinion was the same thing with an ugly casing and the x-fi was a bit expensive so at the size i needed the zen was ideal...
