Creative Zen Stone Plus 2Gb

Advantages: Small, looks good, light, cool, FM radio, voice recorder
Disadvantages: Slow navigation and general responsivness

...The Creative Zen Stone Plus is the 2Gb upgrade of the basic Stone, and as well as the extra 1Gb of space it has a small LED screen for viewing track information and navigating content, a voice recorder, and FM radio. As a cheap, small, easily portable MP3 player with a large enough memory to stop me from listening to the same songs every 5 minutes this serves it's purpose very well. With the 1GB version you can fit about 1000 songs on there and you can also store some video files and watch them (providing they are the correct format). ...i bought this product in may 2008 for about £80 very reasonable for a new 8gb player considering the ipod of that size and generation cost £120-150. I choose it because i had a muvo and loved the quality but out grew it and after battleing with numerous unbranded models i was sick and tired of rubbish. I am a stong hater of popular branded stuff such as the ipod as people i know have had ipods stolen and broken after a year or so (just after the garentee runs out i think) so i didn't look at the ipods and as me and my brother had both had amazing creative mp3 players with no problems (his zen touch has been running for 4 years and still going strong) i decided to look for a new creative player the mozaic in my opinion was the same thing with an ugly casing and the x-fi was a bit expensive so at the size i needed the zen was ideal...

...Right then, the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the Zen V Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and register your product so your warranty becomes valid. Negatives: To start with, the headphones are a bit big and are like the Ipod headphones which have a very thin stalk on them so can break easily. Mine didn't break because I changed them straight away after realizing the sound quality wasn't very good and the headphones were too big and wouldn't stay in my ears, they kept falling...

...The Creative Zen, in my opinion, is a very good MP3 player which could quite easily give the Ipod nano a run for its money. The sound quality of the Creative Zen, I believe is far superior to that of an Ipod. Although it may not look as impressive, it is a neat looking piece of technology; very sleek and stylish looking. Also, It is neither masculine nor feminine and therefore suits everyone! The Zen also plays videos and again, the quality is good. It has a 2.5 inch screen, larger than the Ipod nano at 2 inches. The software that comes with the Creative Zen is really good, allowing you to put any file onto your Zen as it converts them for you. A massive advantage, in my opinion, is that the Zen comes with a SD card expansion slot so if you only buy the 4GB Zen, you can increase the capacity at a later date, up to 12GB which is better...

Creative Zen Nano Plus

Advantages: Very Light and Compact

...I bought this item to use in the gym as I didn't want to be jumping and running around with my ipod. I really didn't expect much of it but it's actually really good and easy to use. Although I can't say it's replaced my ipod, it does beat it in terms of features. Theres an fm radio and voive recorder which can also be used to record from the fm radio, aswell as this there is a line in feature so that you can record straight from your cd player. All this in a tiny sleek little package. What I really like about this is that it plays wma's which ipods don't , wma's take up less space so you can cram more music onto it. Transferring songs to the Nano Plus is really easy as its just a drag and drop system, this is great if ur in a rush and you just want to quickly put some stuff on it.
