Creative Zen Stone (1GB, black)
Review of Creative ZEN Stone 1 GB Black by
marias1241
Advantages: Simple , Good value for money
Disadvantages: No screen
...THE GOOD- Good price for first time byers , good choice of colours(6) good sound quality , easy to use has a mini usb port for syncing and charging. It supports Audible files and has a Skip Folder function that makes it easy to skip through groups of tracks.
The bad: The Creative Zen Stone has no screen, no extra features, and no built-in clip like that of the iPod Shuffle. The rated battery life is unimpressive 10 hours although that is still a fair amount of listning time but compeard to others in its range e.g sony mp3 for £35 has a battery life of over 24hours.
The bottom line: The Creative Zen Stone is a fantastic choice as a secondary MP3 player or for first timers on a budget who want a simple, great-sounding device with limited features and a bargain basement price tag.
I am very happy with it for its price basically does...

zen nano plus rocks
Review of Creative Zen Nano Plus 1 GB Pink by
MrsDB
Advantages: slim, compact, portable, weight, easy to use
Disadvantages: battery cover a little flimsy
...The zen nano plus mp3 player ticked all the boxes I needed and more.
I wanted lightweight, compact and funky (I bought the purple version) for using at the gym. The 1GB size means that I can have a variety of music for all my different sessions throughout my gym routine, form warming up, to aerobic, to cardio through weights and to cooling down, without having to listen to the same track over and over - the only repetitions I want are with my abs!
I do find that the buttons can be a little fiddly to use, but other than that this is the perfect mp3 player for me. Its small enough that it can easily be held in a creative armband and not get in the way at the gym, and the headphones are really comfy.
About a month after I bought my player, the battery cover clip did break, but I got straight on to Creative and they sent me out...

zen nano
Review of Creative Zen Nano Plus 1 GB Black by
gav-o
Advantages: small, good audio, microphone, 18 hr battery, radio
Disadvantages: no "hold" button
...if your after a cheap and efficient mp3 player simply just to listen to your favorite tunes then this is the one for you. easy to use with great value for money. the sound quality produced by this little piece of equipment is top notch. creative zen have always produced reliable and good quality mp3's and this is no failure to say the least. the blue display screen and slick black body provides a very appealing and attractive finish. the one great feature about this is the ease to put songs onto it. it uses a simple drag and drop, as opposed to the installment of itunes from apple and etc. the built in mic is also real cool little feature you can record tracks using this tool. you cant go far wrong with an 18 hour battery life span either....

Much much better than an I-pod
Review of Creative Zen Stone Plus 4GB by
esme_riley
Advantages: Small, easy to carry, good quality
Disadvantages: None
...I bought this item last year and wanted to use it for a while before I reviewed it so I could really get a feel for the product...and I have to say "I love it"! Whilst many of my friends' ipods have broken or caused much heartache my little Zen Stone Plus is still working perfectly and I have not found any faults with it. The storage capacity is excellent, providing space for numerous albums, and the music quality is fantastic (although I would recommend purchasing new headphones to go with it, as the ones provided were fine but not great). It has a radio and things but I haven't used those :) I bought the black one for around £40 from Amazon; it is well worth the money. I also recommend one of the brightly covered skins that go with it :)...

Not for skinny arms!
Review of Creative ZEN Stone Armband Arm pack MP3 player by
gaddy6
Advantages: Cheap, good looking.
Disadvantages: Wobbly.
...This product is ideal for people that like to listen to music whilst excercising, which is obviously the area that creative are trying to focus on with the armband.
In theory it is a fantastic idea. you just strap you Zen to your arm and away you go, running, pumping iron, whatever you like to do down the gym. But in practice the design is somewhat flawed. Firstly, if you're running low on power on your zen, the light that flashes to warn you of this is covered, so you never know when you will run out of battery when you're exercising, which can be rather annoying. The other problem I have met when using this is that i have quite skinny arms, so unless i pull the armband extremely tight (ie blood circulation cut off) it wobbles about, and often i find that it will slide down my arm when running and end up at my elbow. This may of course...

> Creative - Zen is into the army band? <
Review of Creative ZEN V Series Armband Arm pack MP3 player by
1st2thebar
Advantages: high in functionalty
Disadvantages: uncomfortable and pointless
...CIAO REVIEW 25/10/07
- Creative ZEN V Series Armband Pack MP3 Player -
** MP3 Accessories - Armband and belt clip**
A specialised belt/armband catered for the V series and V plus MP3 Player
>ZEN a creative introduction<
Welcome to planet ZEN, no it's not a hairdressing salon, but a revolutionary name for PMP - Portable Media Players designed by Creative. - Creative was founded in Singapore - in 1981, if you view or have seen their corporate branding it is oriental looking. These guys had a vision in the 1980's originally with sound, and speakers and cards for the PC market. Most will remember that Creative is more known for it's incredibly successful Sound Blaster components for the PC. In recent years Creative have modelled themselves on a few house-hold brands from the West, so that sales in the Western world would increase...

Songs Of Praise
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
iain1010
Advantages: Cheap, Stores a lot, nice looking
Disadvantages: heavy, quite large
...The Creative Zen 20GB, what an mps player. Not only is it cheaper than it's rival the ipod it stores many more songs. I own a Creative Zen 20GB myself and i love it, itis software on the computer is easy to put on and the Zen itself it very easy to use. The way to choose things from the menu is touch control pad "up and downwards" unlike the round touch pad of the ipod. The senceativity of the touch panel can be changed, it also has many diffrent eq settings and also a custom eq setting. The menus on the Zen is easy on us with a simple click on the ok button to proced on. The sound quality is great but also depend on what quality mp3's you have. The mp3 is also very Durable as i found out when i droped it on a cobbled street, it made a small dent in the back but ketp playing and didn't skip at all.
The bad thing about the Zen is that it...

Creative Zen Stone Plus 2Gb
Review of Creative Zen Stone Plus 2Gb by
pte22
Advantages: Small, looks good, light, cool, FM radio, voice recorder
Disadvantages: Slow navigation and general responsivness
...The Creative Zen Stone Plus is the 2Gb upgrade of the basic Stone, and as well as the extra 1Gb of space it has a small LED screen for viewing track information and navigating content, a voice recorder, and FM radio.
As a cheap, small, easily portable MP3 player with a large enough memory to stop me from listening to the same songs every 5 minutes this serves it's purpose very well.
Pros:
- it looks cool;
- it holds around 500 tracks depending on their size;
- it's tiny;
- sound quality and volume are good (even with the radio)
- software allows for easy drag-and-drop quick uploads (although once you upload from one folder you can't upload more tracks or browse any until the upload is finished)
Cons:
- you need to download the software from the internet, so if you don't have a connection you have to risk using windows plug...

I've been a keen design critic for these types of PMP component packages for a while now, and have I've been very much involved with digital media since mid 2002. This particular (green) OLED screen definition is of a high standard. It 's glossy visualisation is inviting you in; and of course...

The micro-est mp3 player ever!
Review of Creative Zen Stone Plus 2Gb by
zikiman
Advantages: Size, Quality of the Sound, different colours
Disadvantages: no lock slide, time it loads up the system
...stone plus was literally hanging from its link cable. This was the kind of face that i had when i saw this - ==;;;;;. However, because the link cable was standard USB cable that i could get a longer one and i would suggest to everyone to.
One of the odd thing about this Zen is that it doesn't have a lock slide on the exterior of the Zen which i found really really strange until i have found that it's on the option menu which you need to turn on the system on. Although, i think Creative has done this sort of way because they wanted to keep the Zen smallest as possible without the bulkness of it. Because it doesn't have a lock slide, the time it takes to turn on the system is fairly long. I have counted the time and it takes 5 seconds to turn the system on. You would think that 5 seconds is short but you will realise how long...
