Creative Indeed
Review of Creative ZEN MicroPhoto 8 GB Black by
Hix2005
Advantages: Sound, Colour, Battery life and Build Quality.
Disadvantages: Sensitivity
...I have had the Microphoto now for 6 weeks and having tried out all the functions and getting the grips with it I feel in a position to give a realistic and honest view on the Creative Zen Microphoto. I purchased the Creative Zen Microphoto to replace my Creative 20GB Touch which I accidentally broke.
I shopped around for a mp3 player and settled on the Creative Zen Microphoto mainly because of the Creative software which is easy to use. Also the ability to use it as an external hard drive helps me keep everything in one place neat and organised.
The pros are the great sound quality, the bright colourful display, the mp3 player's software system which is very intuitive and the value for money of the Zen when compared to an Ipod. The build quality is good and feels solid in your hand and even onto the floor a few times. The battery life...

An Amazing Player
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
Mico_Von_Coolio
Advantages: Ergonomic, Light, Easy to use, Protective case
Disadvantages: Scratches easily, Ocassional Crashes
...I have owned 4 MP3 Players and the Creative Zen Touch is simply the best of all of them. It is easy to use, although very flexible for more advanced users. It looks good, its feels good. The software provided is Excellent, In the package with the Zen you recieve The Creative Mediasource software suite, which comprises of an Audio converter, which can convert between MP3 WMA and WAV files. There is a media player/organizer which i believe sufficient to replace WinAMP with. Also provided is Nomad Explorer, a more simple program for transfering music and data to and from the MP3 Player.
The Player itself is very reliable. And the battery life comes close to 24 hourse when fully charged. I have found this to be adaquete in most situations. The Creative Zen touch is very comfortable in the hand and has a smooth plastic/metalic look...

Creative Zen Touch- Great MP3!
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
nollie99
Advantages: Great Sound Quality, Long Battery Life, Looks Nice, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Can be hard to see screen in a certain light, supplied earphones terrible, quite large
...(*'s Out of 5)
I received the Creative Zen Touch for my birthday in October (at a guess I'd say it cost around £170) and I have been extremely pleased with it since- I haven't even filled half of its large 20GB capacity.
What's in the box: Creative Zen Touch MP3 Player, USB 1.1/2.0 cable, Quick Start Manual, Creative Zen Touch case, Creative earphones and charger.
Looks: ****and a half- I think this Creative Zen Touch looks very nice, the buttons have been neatly placed, the blue backlit screen gives it a very nice edge and everything just seems to fit in, it's slightly larger and heavier than the iPod, but that's just a minor con because it feels sturdy and of high quality.
Ease of Use: ***** This is extremely simple to navigate, even my Dad knew how to work it!! Straight out of the box, it's a simple matter ofplugging it in...

Creative Zen Micro
Review of Creative Zen Micro 6 GB Black by
Mudchild
Advantages: Sleek and stylish design, adiquate storage capability, wide variety of colours to choose from, small yet durable design.
Disadvantages: Vertical touch pad can sometimes be a little fiddly, if the batteries are left in when the product is off, the battery is still used up.
..., on the whole easy to use and understand. The display is simple and menu's can be accessed using the vertical touch pad. However, i do sometimes find that the vertical touch pad works against me; I often find it moves further than would like, which can at times, be tedious. The size of this product (51mm x 84mm x 19mm) makes it easy to handle and fit into pockets.
Features: Apart from playing MP3, WMA, WAV files that you have put onto it, the Creative Zen Micro can access FM radio, record voice using a built in a microphone, act as a planner, with the calendar and to do list capabilities.
Overall, the Creative Zen Micro offers a wide set of capabilities, for a moderate price. Style and design are this products main strength as well as solid audio quality and storage capacity. If you are looking for an alternative to the ipod mini then this is well...

excellent product
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
oasiskp
Advantages: compact, fast access to files, lots of space
Disadvantages: touch button sometimes too fast
...I bought the Creative Zen Touch around 6 months ago and have been extremely happy with it so far. Previous to this I owned the Creative Nomad Jukebox 3, which lasted 18 months and still works to this day.
The first thing to notice is the size, compared to previous Creative MP3 players it is small and compact, fitting easily into the pocket. It has an extremely intuitive menu interface where files can be navigated to by Artist, album, genre or playlist.
The players interface puts all the buttons right where you need them, with play, skip forward, backward, pause, volume and on/off having buttons without needing to use the menu. Also on the front is a 'random' button which I find myself using a lot, randomly playing songs from your archive.
the PC software it comes with is also extremely efficient and easy to install and use...

Creative Zen Micro 5GB
Review of Creative Zen Micro 5 GB by
01GrahJ
Advantages: Great sound quality, cool features, micro-sized
Disadvantages: Poor build quality, rubbish battery life
...The Creative Zen Micro is a pretty cool MP3 player for the price (£140ish at the moment)
Its a nice size (just over 3" tall and 2" wide!!), very easy to use, and looks good!
It has:
5GB of memory (about 1250 mp3s at 128 kbs)
Radio, address book and microphone. Unfortunately, the radio is not very clear without being in a place with a good signal, which is not many places with the zen.
When I recieved the zen, I was very pleased with the player. The software is fairly good and easy to use. The blue backlight is ultra cool and it pulses when it is charging or syncing with the PC. It has a very good sound quality, more defined than the other Creative MP3 players, The vertical touchpad is great, but takes getting used to. However, you have to put up with a battery life of 2.5 hours max, not the promised 12 hours at the Creative...

Songs Of Praise
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
iain1010
Advantages: Cheap, Stores a lot, nice looking
Disadvantages: heavy, quite large
...The Creative Zen 20GB, what an mps player. Not only is it cheaper than it's rival the ipod it stores many more songs. I own a Creative Zen 20GB myself and i love it, itis software on the computer is easy to put on and the Zen itself it very easy to use. The way to choose things from the menu is touch control pad "up and downwards" unlike the round touch pad of the ipod. The senceativity of the touch panel can be changed, it also has many diffrent eq settings and also a custom eq setting. The menus on the Zen is easy on us with a simple click on the ok button to proced on. The sound quality is great but also depend on what quality mp3's you have. The mp3 is also very Durable as i found out when i droped it on a cobbled street, it made a small dent in the back but ketp playing and didn't skip at all.
The bad thing about the Zen is that it...

Creative Zen Touch 20GB-excellent alternative buy
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
Bontor13486
Advantages: Great capacity and Sound quality. Looks Different.
Disadvantages: Could be simpler to use more quickly.
...Having originally planned to purchase another mp3 player, I decided to go for the Creative Zen Touch 20GB when I saw the way it looked, and the fact that it was of a significantly different design to the ubiquitous ipod. Firstly, the capacity is great-i'll probably never fill this with all the music I ever listen to, at last count 473 mp3 tracks. The sound quality is superb, but depends upon the original quality of the mp3 tracks you have downloaded. Some are better than others. The player is easy to use straight out of the box, although quickly getting to a specific song from start up can take a lot longer than you might imagine. I guess the manufacturer could have simplified the menu system for when you just want to listen anything random. So far the battery has lasted 3 hours on average, although I like loud music...

My Zen Touch
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
bryony_l
Advantages: Clear, easy to read screen, excellent battery life
Disadvantages: Touch pad can be tricky to master
...In my opinion, this is an extremely good MP3 player. 20GB is more than enough memory for storing all of my purchased CD's plus any of my additional downloads, with still over half of the memory left! The touch pad is quick and easy to use, although to begin with it takes a bit of practice to master. It has the option of creating playlists, which is useful. In my opinion, the best part of this MP3 player is the 'random play all' button. This enables you to play ANY track stored on the player randomly, it is not specific to artist or album like many other players. I would wholeheartedly recommend this player to anyone interested in purchasing one....

Why choose a Zen Touch?
Review of Creative Zen Touch 20 GB by
mattridley
Advantages: Battery Life, Sound Quality
Disadvantages: Slightly bulkier than other MP3 players
...When asked, the first MP3 player that comes into people's minds is the Apple iPod. A glitzy advertising campaign made sure of that. But what about one of its main competetors? Well despite the iPod's popularity Creative Labs have come up with a player that is a real strong competetor.
First things first, the iPod, in my opinion, is only as popular as it is because it was the first (and so far really only) MP3 player that was well advertised and it has caught the imagination of many. However it has many disadvantages, namely reliablility, sound quality, build quality, battery life and the fact everyone now seems to have one!
The Zen Touch has its problems, as does all technology, but the Zen does not have many of these problems. First off, the sound quality is extremely good, as you would expect from the leaders of affordabe...
