...It?s really a heartening arrival from Creative planners and it seems this highly rated organization is getting their acts together. They have had lot of promise and Creative Zen, the latest arrival from their pipeline has established that they have the capacity to live up to the expectations. I always thought that user or customer feedback network is essential the success of products which have to cope of with such massive international competetion and their relentless endeavur to achieve technical perfection which can be provided to the international buyers at an affordable price. When I had the first had a look and a feel of Creative Zen it struck me that this was designed to compete with iPods at a reasonable level, being an iPod heater, Creative Zen has hardly meant a threat to the iPod community. Creative zen

Advantages: reasonable price, looks good, dinky, good battery life, good sound quality.
Disadvantages: NONE:)

...i bought this product in may 2008 for about £80 very reasonable for a new 8gb player considering the ipod of that size and generation cost £120-150. I choose it because i had a muvo and loved the quality but out grew it and after battleing with numerous unbranded models i was sick and tired of rubbish. I am a stong hater of popular branded stuff such as the ipod as people i know have had ipods stolen and broken after a year or so (just after the garentee runs out i think) so i didn't look at the ipods and as me and my brother had both had amazing creative mp3 players with no problems (his zen touch has been running for 4 years and still going strong) i decided to look for a new creative player the mozaic in my opinion was the same thing with an ugly casing and the x-fi was a bit expensive so at the size i needed the zen was ideal...

Creative Zen

Advantages: size, weight, storage, ease of use
Disadvantages: headphones and usb cable

...This is my first Mp3 player, although my wife has an Ipod mini. Overall I have found it to be a fantastic little companion on the train, out walking or just for around the house. Good storage capacity at 8 meg, and the ability to add additional if required. Size and shape mean it fits easily into any pocket and you hardly know it's there. It really comes into it's own though in functionality and ease of use. Very easy to load using the software supplied, and easy to set to sync automatically if required. Once charged it has managed to outlast any trip I've made with it. It also has a nice little FM radio tuner built in. If I had to knock it for anything it would be the headphones aren't brilliant (but these are cheap to replace, the USB cable supplied is a little short (3 inches, but again can be replaced) and it isn't quite loud enough...

The Creative Zen is brilliant little device!

Advantages: Small, sleek and lots of features
Disadvantages: Buttons could be a bit tricky at first

...I received this device as a gift. I was a little unsure at first as I had never owned any kind of MP3 before. I was very pleasantly suprised to find it very easy to use and that it has unexpected features such as radio, photo and video. Personally I often use this on the train or the walk to work - the sound and video quality is excellent. I have often watched programs downloaded from BBC i Player and the quality is brilliant. The Zen comes with computer software which is very easy to install. You can also use i-tunes with this product, which is very handy. The only very slight gripe with this product is that I found the buttons a bit confusing at first... although saying that, I didn't read the instructions! This is a great alternative to an i-pod, personally I think it is better - easier to use and with more features....

creative zen gives the ipod nano a run for its money

Advantages: large screen, good battery life, very good sound quality
Disadvantages: clicky buttons, can freeze and tricky to reset

...The Creative Zen, in my opinion, is a very good MP3 player which could quite easily give the Ipod nano a run for its money. The sound quality of the Creative Zen, I believe is far superior to that of an Ipod. Although it may not look as impressive, it is a neat looking piece of technology; very sleek and stylish looking. Also, It is neither masculine nor feminine and therefore suits everyone! The Zen also plays videos and again, the quality is good. It has a 2.5 inch screen, larger than the Ipod nano at 2 inches. The software that comes with the Creative Zen is really good, allowing you to put any file onto your Zen as it converts them for you. A massive advantage, in my opinion, is that the Zen comes with a SD card expansion slot so if you only buy the 4GB Zen, you can increase the capacity at a later date, up to 12GB which is better...

Creative Zen Touch

Advantages: Sound quality, storage capacity, playback mode

...Design and feel The Creative Zen Touch is quite a big and bulky mp3 player which has a white body cover, the device is smooth to touch and its got a nice sleek design to it. The main feature of the zen touch has is its touch-sensitive Touch Pad, it is easy to use as i have found out as through navigating and scrolling. It also has a lock switch by the side, so buttons aren't accidentally clicked or pressed which is useful for when your on the move because you'll know that even if buttons are pressed it wont affect the zen. Its quite easy to use due to the simple layout of buttons. A USB 2.0 mini socket which connects to the computer can be used to transfer songs. Like the Ipod's the menu shuffle song can play songs which you have in your library. It is also somewhat heavy and bulky and not ideal for carrying around in your pocket...

Zen Creative

Advantages: Sleek appearance. Not an i-pod. Good video capacity. Easy to use.
Disadvantages: No case - screen scratches easily. No function to edit playlists without connection to a computer.

...In my opinion the Zen creative is a great alternative to an i-pod. Personally I would rather not use i-tunes as I find it zaps the processing power of my computer so having an mp3 player that doesn't require the apple software is great. Plus it is more unique than having an i-pod. I think that the sound quality is excellent. Both the computer software and the player menus are really easy to navigate and use. The video quality and screen size on the player itself are impressive considering the small size of the player. Furthermore the player is aesthetically pleasing and the background theme can also be altered so it is possible to personalise the display! I also enjoy the inclusion of an fm-radio function. The only disadvantages to this otherwise distinctive and well-designed player are: 1) you have to be careful not to scratch...

Great but should come bundled with the player!

...A few years back now I picked up a Creative Zen Vision mp3 player, and though I found it to be excellent one thing that really annoyed me was that the mains charger it came with was a usb cable that requires you to charge the player via a laptop, which strikes me as incredibly silly for a portable device that's designed to be a travelling companion. Electronics company Techfocus sell a mains charger for under £6 including shipping through Amazon, which connects to the player in the same manner as the charger that comes bundled but with a mains adapter instead of a usb adapter at the opposite end. The bright white charger is durable and light, with a cable length of 150cm approx, and whilst several reviewers on Amazon claim that it breaks easily I have taken mine on numerous long haul trips over the past year and experienced no...
