.... The bass is nothing less than booming, the highs and the mid-ranges are beautifully quantized to give a mindboggling audio reproduction. I have tried lots of typical tracks and I am prepared to admit happily its audio performance is very close to being flawless. It is interesting to note that Creative Zen has the capability of shutting off distortion at high volume and at lows Bethoven sounds heavenly and Crosby Still Nash and Young sounds gorgeous. Supports ACC files, WMA and proteced WMA, WAV, MP3 so it has easy access to iTunes Plus store but sorry no to Apple DRM. Ration for this section: 9/10 VIDEO PERFORMANCE: In the beginning I mentioned that Creative Zen supports 16.7 million colors yet the vIdeos look quite bothched up and washed out on it?s screen. Creative zen

Advantages: reasonable price, looks good, dinky, good battery life, good sound quality.
Disadvantages: NONE:)

...i bought this product in may 2008 for about £80 very reasonable for a new 8gb player considering the ipod of that size and generation cost £120-150. I choose it because i had a muvo and loved the quality but out grew it and after battleing with numerous unbranded models i was sick and tired of rubbish. I am a stong hater of popular branded stuff such as the ipod as people i know have had ipods stolen and broken after a year or so (just after the garentee runs out i think) so i didn't look at the ipods and as me and my brother had both had amazing creative mp3 players with no problems (his zen touch has been running for 4 years and still going strong) i decided to look for a new creative player the mozaic in my opinion was the same thing with an ugly casing and the x-fi was a bit expensive so at the size i needed the zen was ideal...

Creative Zen V Plus

Advantages: Great sound, easy controlls, looks great!

With the 1GB version you can fit about 1000 songs on there and you can also store some video files and watch them (providing they are the correct format). The controll system mainly consists of a play/pause button, a stop button and a stick that allows you to controll left,right,up,down and select. ...I bought a creative zen 4GB because i wanted a good quality mp3 player, which held a decent amount of music, but i wasnt particularly bothered about getting an iPod, because i think theyre a bit overpriced. i chose the 4GB because i dont have loads of music, but wanted something which held a decent amount. What i really liked about the Zen V when i was looking to buy something was its clear screen, which is a feature of the iPod which i like, and i also think its quite well priced. when i got the Zen, i wasn´t disappointed! it looks good, its small, lightweight, and very easy to carry around. A lot of my friends who have iPods complain that they scratch easily, but ive had my zen nearly 2 months, and its taken a few knocks and is well used, but still looks like new. It comes with head phones, but they have foam bits on them...

...Right then, the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the Zen V Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and register your product so your warranty becomes valid. Negatives: To start with, the headphones are a bit big and are like the Ipod headphones which have a very thin stalk on them so can break easily. Mine didn't break because I changed them straight away after realizing the sound quality wasn't very good and the headphones were too big and wouldn't stay in my ears, they kept falling...

The Creative Zen is brilliant little device!

Advantages: Small, sleek and lots of features
Disadvantages: Buttons could be a bit tricky at first

...I received this device as a gift. I was a little unsure at first as I had never owned any kind of MP3 before. I was very pleasantly suprised to find it very easy to use and that it has unexpected features such as radio, photo and video. Personally I often use this on the train or the walk to work - the sound and video quality is excellent. I have often watched programs downloaded from BBC i Player and the quality is brilliant. The Zen comes with computer software which is very easy to install. You can also use i-tunes with this product, which is very handy. The only very slight gripe with this product is that I found the buttons a bit confusing at first... although saying that, I didn't read the instructions! This is a great alternative to an i-pod, personally I think it is better - easier to use and with more features....

creative zen gives the ipod nano a run for its money

...The Creative Zen, in my opinion, is a very good MP3 player which could quite easily give the Ipod nano a run for its money. The sound quality of the Creative Zen, I believe is far superior to that of an Ipod. Although it may not look as impressive, it is a neat looking piece of technology; very sleek and stylish looking. Also, It is neither masculine nor feminine and therefore suits everyone! The Zen also plays videos and again, the quality is good. It has a 2.5 inch screen, larger than the Ipod nano at 2 inches. The software that comes with the Creative Zen is really good, allowing you to put any file onto your Zen as it converts them for you. A massive advantage, in my opinion, is that the Zen comes with a SD card expansion slot so if you only buy the 4GB Zen, you can increase the capacity at a later date, up to 12GB which is better...
