...I have got the creativelabs 1024 sound card in my pc with the creative 4 point surround sound speakers and the sound quality out of the card is amazing. Creative also keep on making updates for all of there cards so you will always have the quality of the card with free updates from the website. There are 5 ports on the back of the card which enable you to use 4 Speakers, a Microphone, A Line in socket and a digital output to a minidisk player or other device. The cost of the card is also very good which makes it affordable to most people.... Read review

Advantages: If its a Plextor is great!!!
Disadvantages: Its more likely to be a naff Samsung though.

...I don't own the Creative drive but just wanted to make a comment. When the Creative 8432 came out it was a Plextor based drive and Plextors are the best cdwriters available for reliability and features. This was the model all the reviews are based on and therefore its a highly rated model. After the reviews died down Creative sneakily replaced the Plextor based drive with a Samsung based drive but still kept it branded as 8432! Samsungs are not highly rated drives in fact their right at the bottom. What do you think of a company that does this? The Samsung model is cheaper with its own branding and is better supported with firmware upgrades and so it makes no sense to pay more for the Creative.... Read review

...I have had the Microphoto now for 6 weeks and having tried out all the functions and getting the grips with it I feel in a position to give a realistic and honest view on the Creative Zen Microphoto. I purchased the Creative Zen Microphoto to replace my Creative 20GB Touch which I accidentally broke. I shopped around for a mp3 player and settled on the Creative Zen Microphoto mainly because of the Creative software which is easy to use. Also the ability to use it as an external hard drive helps me keep everything in one place neat and organised. The pros are the great sound quality, the bright colourful display, the mp3 player's software system which is very intuitive and the value for money of the Zen when compared to an Ipod. It promises a resolution of up to 640 x 480 at 15 frames per second and 15 frames at 352 x 288. The focusable range is from 3 inches to infinity. There is a focus control on the camera. Using the camera in low light conditions produces very bad results. but increasing light to quite high levels makes the picture considerably better. The software bundled with the camera includes a monitoring package fir security a camera controller and a photo editor as well as microsoft netmeeting. ...This card is absolutely brilliant - it's cheap, and can produce perfect digital quality sound (I have it running digital sound through a Creative DTT2500 decoder). The environmental effects are awesome, in fact I can't think of anything bad about the card... It sounds great, it's cheap, it produces total surround sound (dolby pro logic and digital, as well as creative live! surround). That said, it can be used with any speaker configuration, adn will perform perfectly no matter what you need it for - PC games sound effects or for music at a massive party - the quality is great, and the price is amazing - buy one now!... ...Creative Labs 3D Blaster GeForce 256 Annihilator is the card I got when I built my new Athlon system, the card was very easy to install, Creative also sell a Pro edition which is a bit faster, I find this card exceeds my expectations. When I was installing a game (half-life) I set the system up to the highest resolution the card would take, but it turns out my monitor (a 15”) wouldn’t run @ very resolutions, so I reduced the res and tried again, the game was absolutely brilliant, I was so amazed at the graphics, it was hard to concentrate on the game itself! I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about a new card, but especially the gamers.... Read review

...I have the creative speakers with my new computer and the creative 1024 sound card, when i first started using the speakers i was very impressed with the sound quality from the small speakers and the bass unit. The speakers are capable of a high output of sound when turned up loud but if it is too loud then quality is lost. When i came to install them it was very easy, just a case of plugging in the wires and setting the speakers where i wanted them. ...When I recently delved into internet telephony, my Creative Soudblaster 16PCI wasn't really up to the job. Time for an upgrade, so a visit to the local PC World made me the proud owner of a Soundblaster 1024 Live! The quality is very impressive. I use the soundcard for sound output for not only PC sounds but DVD audio output too and the quality is crystal clear. I don't play games too much so cannot comment on the quality for games but if telephony and DVD sound output are anything to go by, I would say get this card at your earliest convenience. It knocks spots off the SB 16PCI that I used to have and although it cost more, it was worth the investment. Also the Creative website has all the latest drivers.... Read review

...The creative zen, a perfect mix between functionality, design and durability. All be it slightly bulkier than the well known 'ipod', this doesnt prevent the creative zen from being just as good if not better I feel that ipods are old and the creative bring a new side to mp3 players. It is very easy to use, with seperate categories for artists, albums, single tracks, albums, and then other categories for pictures, radio, and tools. The creative zen is also very lighy and durable as i have dropped it multiple times and it still is fine. If you wanted something different from the everyday mp3 player such as an ipod then this should definately be your choice. ...I was given this product by creative as a replacement for my old CDRW 4224 which broke down (after fairly heavy use). I simply e-mailed creative by their web site and they immediately replaced my drive, no questions asked (it was even out of warranty!). So if you buy from Creative you can rest assured they will look after you! The drive itself is everything you can expect from Creative, well bundled with nero burning software and even an extra digital audio cable along with the regular audio cable! This drive has not produced a bad burn yet and is the fastest drive I have used. The software is very easy to install and use, and the hardware installation could be performed by a complete novice by following the instructions provided. Put bluntly, this CD recorder is excellentm, but for me, creatives service surpasses any expectation!... Read review
