...My search for MP3's began on Ciao and I read around a variety of reviews and asked the reviewers some questions which I needed answering. The most important question for me was 'How can I play this in my car?' but more about that later. I visited Curry's and had a look at a few but was really impressed with the chunky little Zen Micro thingy that fitted comfortably into the palm of your hand. This was the one! After searching the internet for decent prices I went onto the Creative website and actually ended up purchasing the little beast through one of their approved stores, and at the cheapest price I had seen as well, thumbs up from me. ...Ah, the Audigy 2. More importantly, Creative labs Audigy 2. Creative Labs are famous and successful because they know what they're doing. No-one as come close to knocking Creative off the top-spot, and it's not likely to change for a long time. Most people wish they had a sound system made by Creative, because they seemed the real deal, the big players who offer the best. I was one of those people. The Audigy 2 is the prime specimen, and seemed heavenly. I wanted Compatibility, Quality and something to boast about. This was it. Needless to say, i finally got one in the form of an OEM version. This meant only the necessary items are included, to drive down costs. ...For anyone venturing into the magical world of sound-related goods, there are few brands capable of matching creatives innovation...when these speakers first came out a around 3-4 years ago, the other portable speakers on the market were pretty pathetic! i'd had a couple of sets, Sony and Panasonics, which were both awful, extremely quiet and poor quality, and that was from other top producers! Then Creative lived up to their name and got creative...I got these as a birthday pressie and was chuffed to bit, and in proof of quality, theyve pretty much held their price ever since (costing around £50 when first released and still rangin from around £20-£40 in todays shops!). I tried Learn Direct, which wasn’t very helpful, and eventually found myself on the UCAS website, checking out the University Courses. Of course, there were the typical English degree courses available, along with all manner of Journalism courses, none of which particularly caught my fancy, but eventually I found a degree course which I had never, even in my wildest dreams, thought could have existed. Better still, this degree course was available at a University under fifteen miles from my home. That’s right… This was a degree in Creative Writing. As soon as I saw that title I knew that whatever happened I had to take this course. It could have been made especially for me. ...General I spent a long time looking around for my MP3 player. Both friends and family had all went for Apple iPods and the pressure was on so to speak. No question the iPod looks, well used to look sexy, and it had the backing of one of the worlds leading technology companies, but no matter what way I looked at it as an option it just not tickle me. I was on holiday in Crete last September (2006) and we flew through Gatwick, with a bit of time to kill I smoozed around a leading tech chain store and saw my first Creative ZEN Vision:M, and I was won over with the beauty, symmetry, and in general sheer simple sexiness of the Zen.
