Advantages: Great, fun, realistic characters :) Disadvantages: Comes apart when building
...Spongebob Lego 3833 KrustyKrab Adventures set
This is a good set, which contains 206 lego pieces.
Aged: 6 - 12
The box contains lego to make the KrustyKrab Restaurant, the Patty Wagon, 1 x lego Spongebob character, 1 x Patrick Character and 1 x Mr Krabs Character.
The characters come apart in 3 separate pieces. They are really fun and great to play with.
The Restaurant set allows you to build the outside front of the KrustyKrab and only 2 blocks width inside for the restaurant. A cash register, safe (also containing lego money for Mr Krabs) and a grill is built inside on the edges of the inside structure of the restaurant.
There are decorative features to add on the outside of the KrustyKrab, which consist of flags, sheilds, a 'KrustyKrab' sign, an 'Enter' sign and a Krabby Patty statue.
This, I find helps to...
Advantages: Sleek, modern, has excellent sound quality and value for money. Disadvantages: Some colours are hard to find at a good cost
...My partner purchased these JBL Creature II speakers for use in our our bedroom with the intention of using them with our ipod.
My first impression were that they were certainly different, but in a good way.
We purchased the speakers for £65.00 and the prices have held in most stores with retail prices ranging from £60.00 - £70.00.
With our purchase we got a large black woofer speaker that looked a bit like 'Darth Vadars' head and two smaller similar shaped satellite speakers.
The speakers came with a mini stereo jack connection that allowed us to use the speakers with a variety of systems, mainly we have used out macbook and ipod.
The woofer speaker fits nicely under the centre of our bed (top end) and the smaller satellite speakers sit nicely on the bedside table either side of our bed. The connection cables are long enough to do...

Review of JBL Creature II
Advantages: Great heavy rock sound! Disadvantages: None
...I do like 'Creatures Of The Night', I think it is a truly great hard rock album.
With the exception of a token ballad in ' I Still Love You' it is a particularly heavy album as well.
Is it really a Kiss album though?
Of course the vocals from Sranley and Simmons indicate it very much to be the case but the absence of Frehley and Criss leaves somewhat of a void for me.
Vinnie Vincent replaced Ace Frehley on lead guitar and the style change is very obvious.
Eric Carr replaced Peter Criss on drums and to be fair gets away with it but does not offer any real vocal ingredient on the album.
The strength of previous Kiss albums was that all band members contributed lead vocals to at least one song on every release.
The loss of the two originals meant that vocal duties were shared by the remaining two Paul Stanley...
Advantages: Iconic film, good effects, beautiful underwater scenes Disadvantages: Not the best of the genre
...I have recently got into the horror genre - that is old horror films, not the modern-day gore fests. I have been buying the Universal Monsters films on DVD and really loved Dracula, Frankenstein and The Mummy from the 1930s. You can get the DVDs cheap on Amazon and The Mummy came in a set with Creaturefrom the Black Lagoon.
This was the first of the Universal Monsters films that I had seen from the 1950s, this one being from 1954. It was interesting to see how this genre of film had changed from two decades earlier.
The basic story is that a fossil is found near the Amazon River, which is seen as an important find, so a scientific team is sent to the area to discover more. The team consists of one woman Kay Lawrence (played by Julie Adams - credited here as Julia) and several men, including Kay's boyfriend Dr. David Reed...
Advantages: Wonderful sound quality, Suprisingly low price, Amazing design Disadvantages: None that I can see.
...quality. It was only until of course the slimey salesman tried to talk me into buying some doubly expensive, ugly, cheap looking, badly constructed Sony speakers which sounded god awful in comparison, even in these conditions, that gave me the final push to buy these gorgeous looking speakers. I have no regrets at all in purchasing them - albeit from an online vendor. That salesman simply had no idea, so I didn't want him to get any commision.
Sound Quality:
-For the Price: Superb. I paid around £70 for the Creature II last year and am still shocked everytime I listen to music loud, that such dynamic range, clarity, tight bass, crystal trebles with high fidelity can be exuded from such small speakers and subwoofer. It puts many speakers in a similar price range to shame, and the less expensive ones into hiding. I have these as my PC...

Review of JBL Creature II
Advantages: Look great, sound better Disadvantages: Only play as low as 50Hz
...I have the white pair, and i'll start from where i started at choosing these, they look great don't they? the alloyish trim over the speaker and curvy body really is attractive. The volume is controled by a touch sensitive receptor on the right speaker, which doesn't ever stop working.
Aside from the looks they also sound great the two small sattelites(speakers) give out superb high frequency sound, very clear, very crisp. Now to get that full rich sound you want it comes down to the subwoofer, which of the same design and looking great has two knobs which control bass, and treble for the whole system which is a handy and useful touch (not only decorative). The sub though does add the warm sound of bass to your music and it does this very well, the sound is not rattled, or distorted as you may find from many cheap subs. However where...

Review of JBL Creature II
...I got a Sony Network Walkman for Christmas and wanted some speakers to inflict all my favourite albums on the wider public (well, the wider public in my house). A family member told me he had heard these going in a shop and they were amazing. I shopped around a bit first but I didn't see anything that impressed me visually as much as these. There was some strange blurb on the side of the box about them coming from out of space and I was suitably sold!
I got them from John Lewis and they were £69.99 which is pretty expensive for speakers but I wanted good quality.
Once I got them home I discovered mine were grey as opposed to the white on the box, so make sure you check that if you are particularly partial to a certain colour. I was quite happy with grey although I would have preferred black, but they don't do black that I know of...

Review of JBL Creature II
Advantages: Really nice pale ale and gorgeous food Disadvantages: It's in Australia for gawd's sake!
...Little Creatures is a microbrewery and restaurant based in Fremantle, Western Australia. The company was established in 2000, and the brewery/restaurant is now run out of an old crocodile farm on the front of Fremantle Harbour.
The Beer
Little Creatures are famous in Australia for their pale ale which, they claim, is brewed with only the freshest hop flowers and combined with light citrus, passion fruit and honey. I don't know about all that, but having tasted the pale ale, it's certainly very tasty. Not being a great fan of beer, I only had the pale ale as that was recommended, but I would happily drink it again, as it was not as harsh as I would have expected, we were drinking at lunchtime, but I was able to amble about Fremantle quite easily during the afternoon without requiring my usually 'drinkers nap'!
Aside from the pale...

Review of Little Creatures
Advantages: Good sound quality, Looks Great Disadvantages: Resonance at 50Hz
...I'm quite knowledgable about speakers systems, so i bought these after doing a lot of research to make sure i was getting a good product. They are simple to get working and i was initially very happy with the quality of sound they produced. After about 2 hours of playing with my new gadget i found that the sub resonated quite audiably at 50Hz. I thought this was a fault with the system so I exchanged them for another 'Creature II' and i still found this resonance was apparent. Im guessing its just the natural frequency of the sub which is a shame as it is in audiable range. After a few hours of fiddling with high and low pass filters and an equaliser I managed to get rid of this problem, fine for me but i feel this may be a bit complex for novices.
After sorting out the initial problems, I can safely say that this is one of the best...

Review of JBL Creature II
Advantages: Lots to explore, good concept Disadvantages: Not very challenging, can get repetitive
...This review is of the Nintendo DS game, Spore Creatures, developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. This is a sim type game where you have to create your own creatures and then explore space.
In theory, this is a really interesting concept, where you start the game as a very basic creature in space. You have to interact with other creatures, choosing whether to become friends with them, or to attack them, to make you stronger. As you progress through the game, you have to enter space to help defend the universe.
The main element of this game, choosing whether to become friends with other characters, or to attack them, is quite limited though, which does make the game quite repetitive. Becoming friends with another creature is just repetitive, whilst the attacking element of the game is just clumsy and difficult to use.
Most...
