...I recently bid in an auction on QXL.com, this comment is purely to advise of the problems I have encountered. The auction was for 5 bottles of french wine, as a lover of wine I couldn't resist bidding for this item and I was pleased when I found out I had "won" the auction but not so pleased when I was e-mailed and advised the wine was being autioned by a company called barpatner.co.uk a company I've had problems with in the past. When I started bidding in the auction I had no idea who the seller was, had I known I would not have placed my bid, all I knew of the seller was the e-mail address. They dont reply to emails, they dont pic up the phone, they dont reply to letters. The website has multiple numbers - most dont work, but the ones that ring get ignored. There are multiple adresses, company house records overdue tax & takings documents. The company was once legit, but in my opinion they are just THEIVES. Whatever you do DONT buy from MemoryKing. .... They have just changed it slightly whereby you also get a smaller card alongside your normal one, which you can clip on to your key ring. I have found this handy, particularly if I don't want to take out a credit-card sized item. And the good thing about Tesco is that you have lots of things to collect your points against!...
