...This was an eagerly awaited game if ever there was one. It looked amazing on all the gaming websites and in all the magazines. Then launch day arrived and I rushed out like everyone else to grab myself a copy. Well I fired up my 360 to play Assassin's Creed for the first time and I was not dissapointed. The graphics were stunning and the control system is very intuitive. I'm not sure about the modern/historical storyline. It just seemed to detract from what could have been a stunning game. The main issue for me with Assassin's Creed is that everything feels so REPETITIVE. all the tasks you are set are the same. All the soldiers you fight all look the same. Advantages: Near-Perfect Graphics, Completely Original Storyline

...Since the launch of the PS3, Assassin's Creed is a game that quickly established itself as a big name in then next generation gaming world. The graphics are nothing short of beautiful (something that few games can boast) with incredible architecture on the buildings that you will certainly see plenty of as the gameplays on. The storyline is something special with a blend of Crusade-era combat and glimpses of the futuristic research facility that compliment and contrast each other superbly. The downside is the feeling of repetition that kicks in around the 4th mission. By this stage the system of gaining information and taking out targets begins to make me wonder how long it is until the ending. Advantages: Excellent story

...The hero in this book is a guy called Joe Creed (hence the title) and he is portrayed by James Herbert as being a bit of a scum bag, which, as he is a fully paid up member of the paparazi is probably not that far from the truth. Now as we know these guys know all the tricks for getting the juicy bits of gossip and more importantly the photographic proof to go with it. It is this very "skill" that gets Creed into the trouble he soon finds himself in when he takes a photo of someone (or something) that he shouldnt of. Although James Herbert does try and make Creed the sort of person you dont really care what happens to I did end up feeling a bit of empathy with his plight, not only is he trying hard to deal with some seemingly supernatural happenings but he is also plunged into some interesting moral dilemas such as should he make love... Advantages: something you won't smell on everyone else
Disadvantages: the price!

...This will be the most expensive scent I've ever bought. But buy it I must because this smells like nothing else out there - in an entirely good way! What captivates me is the way the scent seems to 'sparkle', it has a strange effervesent quality I have never encountered anywhere else. It has notes of blackcurrant but isn't at all sweet - well only in the way that a mountain has a 'sweet' smell. It's actually sold on some sites as a men's fragrance; as a women's on others while yet others have it down as a unisex product. Creed are a very long-established high end English company, but this isn't sold in many places. As is so often the case, it's usually cheaper to buy on American websites than in UK shops.... ...Here’s a shocking statement for you…….Alter Bridge, a band containing three ex-members of everyone’s buddies Creed, have produced an album, ‘One Day Remains’, that ranks up there with the best - the guitar work from Tremonti is nothing short of exceptional, the drumming is solid in the majority, and the addition of Myles Kennedy on vocals is an absolute godsend……..there, got that out of the way. It’s easy to look back to the days of Creed, with their weathered ‘hits’ infecting peoples minds in a less than pleasing manner, but Alter Bridge offer so much more, both musically and without doubt, vocally. Myles Kennedy (former Mayfield Four vocalist) has a range that Creed’s ‘lodger’ Scott Stapp could only wish for…. whilst Kennedy isn’t as inclined to shove his head up his ass in the process. ...There has been a great deal of hype surrounding Assassin's Creed, with emphasis on free-form action and next gen graphics among the reasons to get excited. And its true, the graphics are at time, quite brilliant, and the exploration offered by it is top-notch also. You take up the role of Altair, an Assassin in the 12th century, on a mission to slay 9 figures of importance to redeem himself. There is also a huge twist in the tail too, which I won't reveal, although the game does reveal it in the opening scenes, and the story would benefit far more if it was revealed closer to the end to give the game a sense of real shock value. One of the hyped up features in Assassins Creed is the free running abilities of Altair, and that "anything that sticks out more than 3 inches can be climbed" Well they certainly meant that, Altair can hop... ...until I get a category ...... Well you didn’t actually think you’d get rid of Creed did you. Being someone who’s not afraid to admit to musical tastes, I will say that I actually found Creed’s music to be on the better side of decent, and feel that a lot of people simply dismissed them as ‘that Christian band’, a ridiculous thing if ever I’ve heard it. With Creed’s rather quick death, largely due to the pompous jerk of a lead singer growing an ego, a new awakening has formed in the shape of Alter Bridge, a band both different and better than Creed. I’ve read reviews that slate the album for being to alike Creed, whilst also finding people ready to accept that this is something very different. The addition of vocalist Myles Kennedy is extremely welcome, with his voice o so perfectly suited to the vibe that the band were reaching for... Read review
