...I had heard about crème de la mer in the press & looked at the price & thought how ridiculously overpriced. Even though I was intrigued I thought there's no way I can justify spending that much. However things were about to change - fast forward to 3 years later & I have had the worst skin problems with spots & scarring - they seemed never ending & I was beginning to get fed up of always having horrible skin. Then one day complaining to a friend she recommended using crème de la mer. She has been using it for about 5 years & has the most amazing skin - so off I went to Selfridges & got the 30ml pot - I thought I don't want to splash out too much so I thought I'll use this size to try it out. Creme de la Mer: thumbs down

Advantages: leaves skin moisturized for long
Disadvantages: overpriced, overrated,no SPF

...between fingertips before tapping it on the face,but my fingers absorbed most of the cream!Does it mean I will have wrinkle-free finger tips?? The Creme de la Mer, ladies and gentlemen, DOES NOT contain a SPF, which means that, although I spent a fortune for this cream, I have to spend even more for another cream with SPF (and would I apply it before or after the Creme de la Mer?).This is not acceptable, everyone knows about the risks of skin cancer and if I pay a fortune for a face cream then it has to be perfect. That was the bad news.The good news, however, is that excellent creams DO exist. Advantages: This 'designer' cream will turn your bathroom shelf into a shrine.
Disadvantages: Your bank manager will none too pleased.

...I have read nothing but rave reviews about Creme de la Mer, an A-list moisturiser with an A-list price tag attached. Magazines are forever gushing about this product, associating words such as 'miracle' and 'extraordinary' to it so naturally curiosity got the better of me. Now although I can be somewhat of a beauty product victim and quite impulsive, even I know that forking out around eighty-eight quid for an itsy tub (30ml!) of this wonder is just plain ridiculous. I was browsing the yoghurt and trifle fridges in Tesco when I cam across these Tesco Crème Brulee's priced at £1.83 for two I thought I would give them a try and see if they were as yummy as they looked. They come in 2 separate 100g pots so perfect for you and a partner to round off a meal. For anyone who isn't familiar with Crème Brulee it is the very simple meaning of custard sprinkled with sugar, such a simple idea but very delicious. PACKAGING Each Crème Brulee comes in a miniature glass dish with a soil foil wrapper on top, which you remove before cooking. Amazing face cream

Advantages: Good for dry/sensitive skin
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

...My wife uses this moisturiser and she says it is amazing! Some of her friends have found the creme quite rich but she has dry/sensitive skin and Creme De La Mer has been fantastic in sorting it out. The only downside is the price tag although it does last about 3 months and she says it is definitely worth the money. My wife also started using one of their serums as well which then made the creme last longer and the serum makes smaller amounts of the creme soak in better to dry skin. You can also buy the creme in bigger 60ml pots which does help make it a bit cheaper if it's something you would use all the time. And of you really love it you can spend about £800 on the litre sized pot which saves 400 overall - although we've personally stuck to the smaller pots!...
