Gold Crest .... Shouldn't be Gold
Review of Gold Crest Holidays by
blondgem
Advantages: Drivers were good
Disadvantages: They need to get staff who know how to organise stuff
...Gold Crest has got to be by far the worst coach travel company i have ever been with.
We were picked up on 30th December by the feeder coach from Stoke Bus Station and taken to Medway to get onto our individual coaches to our destination: ours was Amsterdam.
The coach we were on was very good in general, it had a snack bar and bar should you require alcohlic and soft beverages which was a bonus. The drivers were very friendly and so was the hostess on the journey there and we thought we were going to be in for a good new years break, also it was their last trip themselves so they probably wanted to make the most of it.
The crossing to France was okay and the journey up to the hotel in the Hague was fine with a couple of stops for toilet breaks and to get something to eat.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the drivers found out that Gold...

Zest of Crest is Best
Review of Crest Complete Extra Fresh by
Farmboy
Advantages: Tasty Spearmint Zest
Disadvantages: Can't Eat it
...Okay, I'm on a roll with this whole, "bloke writes about toiletries mess" so I'll continue on with one a little more unisex... toothpaste.
Right. It comes in a little white tube. Well, it's white with red on it and a dash of blue but I'm sure everyone has seen a tube of Crest toothpaste before.
I am quite an advocate of dental hygiene so therefore choose my toothpastes carefully. Crest comes in a white tube (probably careful promotional packaing, white tube means white teeth...), Colgate (the evil direct market competitor) comes in red, and Aquafresh comes in a green tube. Red means blood to me, and green means mold. Therefore I stick with the nice hygenic looking white tube. What a seriously sick process to go through when picking packaging, I know.
Anyway, once I have purchased my sterile white tube of Crest, I take it home...

crest sponsored account
Review of Direct Sharedeal by
NewtWatcher
Advantages: free crest account, £12.50 min £30 max, email support
Disadvantages: have to phone Scotland if you want to talk to them
...I have had my DirectShareDeal account for 6 months now and I am moving my deals from Halifax to here. It is a crest sponsored account which means that it you own the shares personally in a nominee account (ie. in your own name not the brokers). This means that you get the benefits of certificate owned shares ( like dividends, reports, company information sent to you personally) without the hassle of having to post certificates etc. I like to receive dividends and reports and company information and that is why I chose this type of account.
The account costs 0.5% per trade with £12.50 minimum (£30 maximum) so reasonable for small investor. There is NO management costs for your account and CREST memebership is FREE.
You do have to send your money to the account before you can buy but you can do this by a simple bank transfer (no...

Telephone dealing using Crest account
Review of Stocktrade by
David0
Advantages: Shares held in own name, competitive dealing commissions, reliable service, no share certificates.
Disadvantages: Lack of flexibility, cannot be combined with Internet service.
...I have been buying shares now for 18 years and Stocktrade is the broker I have used most often over the past two years. My principle reason for choosing Stocktrade was that they are one of the few execution only stockbrokers that offer Crest sponsored membership at a reasonable price. This guarantees that:
1. I own the shares if Stocktrade went bust.
2. I receive all shareholder information such as annual reports, details of takeovers, rights issues etc.
3. I receive shareholder perks such as money off vouchers, diaries, holiday discounts etc.
4. I can trade as easily as with a nominee account. I.e. there are no delays in posting share certificates.
Trades are carried out over the telephone, although Stocktrade offers a separate online dealing service, which I have never used. Every call I have made has lasted no more than 90 seconds...

I'm a Martyr to my Teeth
Review of Crest Crest Spinbrush by
mornev
Advantages: Healthy gums
Disadvantages: None
...amount of trepidation I bought the Crest Spinbrush battery operated electric toothbrush from Boots.
I chose the Crest because it was a special introductory offer with the price of about £7.00, just over twice that of the ordinary toothbrushes I buy every six weeks. Expect to pay a little more than that now as the offer has finished. Nevertheless, the full price of the appliance was a few pounds cheaper than the others on offer, the difference being that it doesn’t include extra replaceable brushes as the head was fixed. I did like the idea of replacing the batteries though, considered I may get three months use out of it, making it an economical purchase.
My first impression, as I began to use the lightweight brush, was how small and neat the head was, making it very comfortable to use. We are told to manually brush our teeth for up...

Useful for DayTraders....
Review of Stocktrade by
paulchapman
Advantages: instant purchase/selling
Disadvantages: have to have cleared funds in account
...As you will have seen from my other opinions I use several different brokers for different situations. I use Stocktrade mainly for daytrading. The system can be quite slow to load as it uses applets sometimes it even fails to start. When it does go the interface is fairly simple to use but does take a little bit of getting used to. The best feature of the Stocktrade account is the ability to buy and sell shares on the same day - instant settlement. When you open an account with stocktrade you also open an account with CREST - this means that you can buy and sell any CREST shares on the same day therefore taking any profit. Obviously daytrading is quite risky - you can also use Stocktrade as a regular dealing account. Unlike some of the other stockbrokers Stocktrade will only let you purchase shares if you have money in your dealing...

Digimon - from a child's point of view.
Review of ITV - Digimon by
Xyanthe
Advantages: They can Digivolve, they battle each other and they find digi-eggs.
Disadvantages: Nothing
...,
Rookie,
Champion,
Ultimate
and Armour digivolve.
In Digimon, they have digi-eggs to digivolve into different creatures. They also have crests in the first series, but now in the second series, they changed the crests into digi-eggs, but they have crests on the digi-eggs to remind them what the digi-egg represents. There is only one golden digi-egg in the whole programme and that has the crest of kindness on it.
I like Digimon because I always want to see what kind of digimon they digivolve into. I also like it because they have good battles in the programme. I would recommend this programme and on video, to a friend because if they like Pokemon, I’m sure they‘ll like Digimon“.~~

There's loads to see
Review of Dublin Castle, Dublin by
LIZZIE241079
Advantages: a great tour is provided
Disadvantages:
...Another one of Dublin’s amazing sites that has to visited by all. This castle has a mix of all centuries in it. There is a brilliant tour given by one of a number of guides provided specially by the Irish government. They guide will take you on a tour which last about 2 hours at a maximum. You are guided through the building and given a very interesting tour. There are numerous different interesting features to be seen such as the family crests of all of Irelands Presidents and the stained glass window which is dedicated to the 1916 rebels who were shot at Kilmainhaim goal.. This is a beautiful building with a vast history surrounding it....

Watch out for the milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review of Tesco (Shop) by
mreservado
Advantages: Good Store
Disadvantages: Disgusting Customer Services!
...Let me tell you why i think this supermarket got the worst Customer service ever!
The 23/12 (yes! just before Christmas!)I bought a 6 pint bottle of full fat milk at my local Tesco in Yate. Pay for it £1.51 at the till at 17.33 and came back home in Pucklechurch. Once in the kitchen I noticed the milk leaking and noticed that it didn't even had the security label on it. In these bottles is usually inside. I followed the trial, with a torch, and discovered my car's back sit drench in milk. So I contacted Tesco at 17.55 spoke with Lissie a checkout manager and she told me to have my car "valet" that they will refund it. The next day struggling to get one I phone back and I was told that I needed to way until "Dairy Crest" their provider knew about the situation, thing that was not going to be possible until the 29th. All this information...
