Zest of Crest is Best
Review of Crest Complete Extra Fresh by
Farmboy
Advantages: Tasty Spearmint Zest
Disadvantages: Can't Eat it
...Okay, I'm on a roll with this whole, "bloke writes about toiletries mess" so I'll continue on with one a little more unisex... toothpaste.
Right. It comes in a little white tube. Well, it's white with red on it and a dash of blue but I'm sure everyone has seen a tube of Crest toothpaste before.
I am quite an advocate of dental hygiene so therefore choose my toothpastes carefully. Crest comes in a white tube (probably careful promotional packaing, white tube means white teeth...), Colgate (the evil direct market competitor) comes in red, and Aquafresh comes in a green tube. Red means blood to me, and green means mold. Therefore I stick with the nice hygenic looking white tube. What a seriously sick process to go through when picking packaging, I know.
Anyway, once I have purchased my sterile white tube of Crest, I take...

5 Days in Paris with Gold Crest
Review of Gold Crest Holidays by
archer7
Advantages: Very cheap, friendly drivers, great hotel.
Disadvantages: Not good for young children
...In August I decided to take a coach holiday with Gold Crest, take a friend of mine abroad to Paris. It seemed cheap and I've always liked coaches! However, Gold Crest send out the tickets 7 days before the coach picks you up. I wasn't informed of this, so I telephoned the travel agents every day. After five days they started to phone ME, and two days later the tickets arrived, to the travel agents relief.
I start to read my travel documents. Pick-up time: 0400. I wouldn't of minded, but when we booked it said 0600! Pick-up point: Preston Bus Station. Nothing said exactly where in Preston Bus Station, so I started phoning the travel agents again. Two days later, Gold Crest didn't know and Wardle Travel were sick of hearing my voice. In the end we just got a lift to the hotel next door and waited on the pavement expectantly with our...

Gold Crest .... Shouldn't be Gold
Review of Gold Crest Holidays by
blondgem
Advantages: Drivers were good
Disadvantages: They need to get staff who know how to organise stuff
...Gold Crest has got to be by far the worst coach travel company i have ever been with.
We were picked up on 30th December by the feeder coach from Stoke Bus Station and taken to Medway to get onto our individual coaches to our destination: ours was Amsterdam.
The coach we were on was very good in general, it had a snack bar and bar should you require alcohlic and soft beverages which was a bonus. The drivers were very friendly and so was the hostess on the journey there and we thought we were going to be in for a good new years break, also it was their last trip themselves so they probably wanted to make the most of it.
The crossing to France was okay and the journey up to the hotel in the Hague was fine with a couple of stops for toilet breaks and to get something to eat.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the drivers found out...

I'm a Martyr to my Teeth
Review of Crest Crest Spinbrush by
mornev
Advantages: Healthy gums
Disadvantages: None
...with a certain amount of trepidation I bought the Crest Spinbrush battery operated electric toothbrush from Boots.
I chose the Crest because it was a special introductory offer with the price of about £7.00, just over twice that of the ordinary toothbrushes I buy every six weeks. Expect to pay a little more than that now as the offer has finished. Nevertheless, the full price of the appliance was a few pounds cheaper than the others on offer, the difference being that it doesn’t include extra replaceable brushes as the head was fixed. I did like the idea of replacing the batteries though, considered I may get three months use out of it, making it an economical purchase.
My first impression, as I began to use the lightweight brush, was how small and neat the head was, making it very comfortable to use. We are told to manually brush our...

I'M SPINNING AROUND
Review of Crest Crest Spinbrush by
tartantribe
Advantages: Effective clean and polish, great kids' designs
Disadvantages: Disposable, plastic feel, crummy switch
...On my recent holiday to America, one thing I noticed is that people there have great teeth. And big shiny white smiles, which they flash frequently while earnestly wishing each other to have a nice day.
British people on the other hand do not smile quite as often, which is understandable considering the general level of aggravation of life here, such as train strikes, dodgy food and the utter crapitude of the weather. This lack of smiles helps hide the fact that, like many other things, our teeth are not usually as good as the Americans.
Well, fortunately, a solution is at hand in the shape of a whizzy device which was given to me during my visit by my dentally concerned parent. For those of you thinking an opinion about toothbrushes sounds dull, let me assure you, the Crest SpinBrush is just about the most fun you can have...

Telephone dealing using Crest account
Review of Stocktrade by
David0
Advantages: Shares held in own name, competitive dealing commissions, reliable service, no share certificates.
Disadvantages: Lack of flexibility, cannot be combined with Internet service.
...I have been buying shares now for 18 years and Stocktrade is the broker I have used most often over the past two years. My principle reason for choosing Stocktrade was that they are one of the few execution only stockbrokers that offer Crest sponsored membership at a reasonable price. This guarantees that:
1. I own the shares if Stocktrade went bust.
2. I receive all shareholder information such as annual reports, details of takeovers, rights issues etc.
3. I receive shareholder perks such as money off vouchers, diaries, holiday discounts etc.
4. I can trade as easily as with a nominee account. I.e. there are no delays in posting share certificates.
Trades are carried out over the telephone, although Stocktrade offers a separate online dealing service, which I have never used. Every call I have made has lasted no more than 90...

Revitalised Pearly Whites?
Review of Crest Revitalise Toothpaste by
richardsonjones
Advantages: spakrly white teeth & fresh breath!
Disadvantages: None to mention
...“Look after your teeth and your teeth will look after you” – that’s what my mum used to say, and I for one think she’s right. Recently, I was given a free sample of Crest’s new toothpaste ‘Revitalise’ and thought I’d try it out, as I was intrigued to say the least by the bold claims made by this new product.
Advertised as a ‘daily beauty treatment for your gums and teeth’, this product claims, amongst other things, to be able to strengthen and revitalise the enamel on your teeth, making them stronger and less susceptible to cavities and infections. This is apparently made possible by the ‘fast release fluoride’ strip in the toothpaste. In addition, the toothpaste claims to tone your gums as you brush. As a natural sceptic I didn’t take much notice of this first (my gums aren’t top of my list of ‘parts of my body which require toning...

Delay that denture fitting...
Review of Crest Crest Spinbrush by
gemmawild
Advantages: The results it gives.
Disadvantages: The vibration.
...Crest Spinbrush
I received this battery-operated toothbrush after completing a survey from CIAO! At the end, I was asked if I would participate in a 2-week trial of the product. When the trial was over, I was to complete another survey to give my opinion on the product. I have been using this toothbrush now for 3 weeks so here’s what I have thought so far.
The toothbrush came in a padded envelope so I know nothing of how the original packaging looks or what it ‘claims’ to do for your teeth.
As it was the first time that I had used a battery-operated toothbrush (I usually use a manual) I gave it a good inspection before placing it in me mouth.
It was grey & blue in colour, which I know sounds dull but they were light colours so they were quite pleasant. Although it looked the same as a manual toothbrush, the head...
