Flick Cricket Game

Advantages: An iPhone cricket game...
Disadvantages: ...very basic

...You may have noticed I've written the odd review or two about iPhone application games in recent weeks...and you'd be right. So here's another one - Flick Cricket. There's a game doing the rounds on the internet called Stick Cricket which is extremely addictive and enjoyable...unfortunately the Flick version is completely different, and not quite up to the same standard; but then again this application is free for all you good, good iPhone users. The game is based on a six-over match, where the user always bats first and then attempts to defend the total as the 'computer' chases it down. On the main menu there are a couple of options - Quick Facebook Game, New Normal Game, Continue Game and Connect with Facebook. Now, I've not delved into the world of the Facebook options, but I believe it allows you to upload photos for players...

Ashes Cricket 2009 - Guarantee an Ashes win (In your home)

Advantages: Cricket on the Wii!
Disadvantages: Maybe classic matches woudl have been good

...The Nintendo Wii has become somewhat of a phenomenon over the last few years. I myself bought my console this year and have become an addict. I even have a Wii Fit and balance board. Sports are a highlight in my life. I play golf, and enjoy playing golf on my Wii. What I feel the Wii has been crying out for for such a long time now, particularly with its unique control system, is a game concerning my favourite game, cricket. I have played cricket on computer and games system for quite some time. First there was Brian Lara Cricket, then Brian Lara 2005, then Brian Lara 2008. I never really had too much time for the EA Sports versions of cricket (the one thing that my versions had in common was that they were all developed by Codemasters). ...Forget Brian Lara Cricket. Don't even think about the new Cricket 2005 from EA Sports. This is where it all began! EA Sports original production - Cricket 97. The Cricketers Pub

Advantages: large garden, BBQ's held on Sunday, cheap drinks, friendly atmosphere
Disadvantages: A little out of town

...The Cricketers Pub is located in the village of River, just outside Dover. It is located right next door to Crabble Cricket, Football and Rugby Grounds. I like the Cricketers pub as it certainly has a village feel to it, and you tend to get a good crowd of people in here because it is not in the main town, and doesnt attract young drunks! The Pub The bar inside is fairly large with plenty of seating. There is a large plasma TV which shows various sporting events such as football, tennis and rugby games. There is a lower level to the bar area, and in here are a couple of gaming machines as well as pool tables. In one corner there is also a dart board. To the left of the pool tables, is a small corridor which leads out to the male and female toilets. If you walk past the toilets, you will find yourself in the pub garden. There is...

My 2008

...2008 was a pretty rubbish year for me, although I leannt a lot about myself along the way. 1) What did you do in 2008 that you have not done before? I drove to Devon all by myself which is actualy the longest car journey I have ever done (Dover to Devon). I have been driving for 7 years but the longest drive I have done alone before that one was about an hour so driving to Devon (which took about 5 hours) was a big step for me. I also gave up smoking on 13th October and so far I am still a non smoker so I would like to say that I have actually cracked it this time and have finally managed to kick the habit as this is the longest I have ever managed to give up for. 2) Did anyone close to you give birth? I started writing reviews on the internet, I started going to full contact kickboxing training sessions with some black belts (I'm one belt away from being half way there) and some of the other students in my class which was intense, I learned how to fix several thing to do with my car which will be pretty useful in future, I got to see the Ultimate Fighting Championships live, and I started eating chicken. 2) Did anyone close to you give birth? ...Cricket 2007 I have only got this game - Cricket 2008 on a PC, so if what I am about to write is different to what it is on a play station two or a play station three or even one, then i do apologise. I will just be commenting on what I have played on on PC. Right! I think that this game is so much better than the 2005 edition. The gameplay is much better and realistic. The graphics are much improved and are now very good! There are many extra additions. The variations on the statistics pages and the ability to autoplay are absolutely brilliant and are now very good if you ask me! The way you can create players and totally make your own team makes the game totally fantastic! The only bad thing for me is that the game don't have a copyright or something, so all the names are messed up! Which is very fustrating at times...
