Review of Critters 2 by
peter_chrichard
Advantages: a lot here
Disadvantages: a lot here
...CRITTERS 2 has to be one of the best Sci-Fi/Horror films ever made!! It's a blockbuster!! It is full of great Special-Effects, Fun Characters, and it's an all-out good time! I'm surprised that this film doesn't have more recognition. There's action, suspense, and the countryside town of Grover's Bend gives the film a great Atmosphere. Scott Grimes is back as Bradley Brown, who returns to Grover's Bend to spend Easter Vacation with his Grandmother. Unfortunately, some of the Critter Eggs that had been undiscovered in the Brown's old Barn are about to hatch and the Town is in for a Big surprise!! Also returning are Don Opper AND Terrence Mann as the space-hopping Bounty Hunters who come to finish off what they thought they had destroyed before! The Town that never believed Brad Brown suddenly learns that the Critters are real and must all...

Pesky Critters
Review of Critters by
jimbuck
Advantages: Laughably scary
Disadvantages: Makes you look at cuddly toys in a new light
...Out of all the millions of people in the Western world there
are a few who have tremendous imaginations. They must have to
think up the story line for Critters. I mean who could
possibly dream up balls of fur with very, very sharp teeth
with an appetite to rival that of a shark and then let them
loose on humanity? I suppose that you could equate them to the
famous Tribbles of Star Trek except this lot had attitude.
Well somebody did and the result was Critters, and a few
sequels, to try and scare the pants off people.
Escaping from some far off planet these little bundles of cute
fur, until they open their mouths, try to eat their way out of
the American mid west by devouring every living thing in their
path. But the world can relax because they are pursued by two
intergalactic bounty hunters who with the help of a young kid...

critters 1 is ok
Review of Critters by
peter_chrichard
Advantages: too many
Disadvantages: too many to list
...Often compared unfavourably with Gremlins, Critters is to my mind a more enjoyable film. The film moves between horror and comedy. The galactic bounty hunters who are sent to destroy the Critters(escaped criminals from a prison asteroid)are played deadpan which adds to the humour. The bounty hunters are over zealous when it comes to the use of their weapons and the shoot up of a bowling alley is a nice touch. The local drunkard Charlie is the kind of stock character that appears in comedy westerns of the John Wayne variety and is well transposed to the modern day. The long coats worn by the bounty hunters is reminiscent of those worn in "Once Upon a Time in the West".I think that I would certainly have to give this film at least 8 out of 10....

Critter Trail X
Review of CritterTrail X by
almarsden
Advantages: Cheap and expandable
Disadvantages: Flimsy and problematic door
...After Hammond (our Syrian Hamster) had been living in his savic cage for a little while it became apparent that he was getting very bored (despite the number of toys in there!) so we decided to purchase a couple of CritterTrail cages for him and interconnect them.
One of the cages that are connected is the CritterTrail X (other is the space station looking one) and they appear (for now) to have stopped Hammonds boredom and given him a new play area to explore.
The cage at first was difficult to assemble as the instructions were poor and it did feel rather flimsy but after it was all assembled it felt ok.
The water bottle that comes with the cage is very difficult to fill but does the job.
There appears to be a problem with the door, as Hammond managed to open it a few days ago, i'm not sure wether this is a design fault or just our...

Critters Heaven
Review of CritterTrail X by
Jimmi5bellies
Advantages: Easy to clean, light-weight, add-ons
Disadvantages: Some parts are easy to chew
...I would like to tell you about my sons newest Gerbils abode. After months of him persuading me why this was the perfect house on the market for his beloved pet i finally relented and took out a mortgage to buy his furball the ultimate in adesigner luxury pad.
Chewy as we had called the gerbil was previously living in a mansion (the old chipmonk cage) but this was just to big for my sons room and cleanng out times was a nightmare. The bigger the cage the bigger the mess right ?
Thats when my son spotted this little number on the pet stall in the market. I think it was the colours that attracted him and the space wheel on the top.
The CritterTrail X is the extreme activity home for all critters (hamsters, mice, gerbils, rats and any other small rodent), comes complete with its own exciting, extractable petting zone which also doubles up...

A load of old crit...
Review of Critters 1 To 4 DVD by
ghost_w1
Advantages: Great first film...
Disadvantages: Picture quality, sound quality, acting, effects...
...* iNTRODUCTIOn *
I remember watching the first Critters as movie as a kid and loving every minute of it's cheesy, scary plot so when i saw this on sale in HMV a couple of weeks back i decided to pick it up as i hadn't seen the 3 following sequels. For a supposed 'Ultimate Collectors Edition' this wasn't worth the 5 pounds 99 pence i paid for it which is a shame because it could have been good given a few decent extra's but that still wouldn't have made up for the 3 attrocious sequels. Critters was released back in 1986 and gained a decent appraisal from critics who hailed it a ''funny, scary gremlins rip off''. The Critters are little black, psychotic hedgehog looking things that shoot sharp needle point hair from their bodies as a weapon. As the original made a good ammount of money a sequel was quickly followed in 1988 which again...

CRITTERS (1986) [FILM ONLY REVIEW]
Review of Critters (Wide Screen) by
Charles_Strickland
Advantages: Sometimes scary, sometimes funny
Disadvantages: Cheap, nothing special
...Stephen Herek's CRITTERS was released in the summer of 1986 and was immediately jumped upon as a genuine pastiche of the old B-movie horrors of the 50s; but is it a good film?
An asteroid somewhere in outer-space is home, or prison, to some very nasty creatures who manage to escape when they hijack a spaceship. They crash land on Earth, in a small American town, and soon start wreaking havoc amongst the community, first on a cow and then on a farm. Meanwhile, intergalactic police are on their trail. They send to Earth two bounty hunters who have the ability to morph into anything they see fit, one a famous rock star and the other of various disguises, to aid them in their hunt of the increasingly deadly critters.
I remember enjoying this low-budget film much more the first time round but, if truth be told, I still somewhat enjoyed...

The Return Of The Psychotic Little Furballs
Review of Critters 2 by
wampyrii
Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review
...Critters was a mildly entertaining movie which followed on the back of and stole most of its general ideas from Joe Dante's Gremlins. It featured a small band of ravenous, flesh eating alien furballs who crashland in a small rural community and set about muching their way through the local animal and humanlife, basically focusing their attention upon a single family and their farm. The Krites were destroyed thanks to the efforts mainly of Brad, the older child of the family and two intergallactic faceshifting bounty hunters.
However, as with all movies of this kind there was an inevitable sequel just waiting to be filmed, and here is the result. The Krites were eradicated in the first movie but not before they left a little something behind. In fact, they left behind a clutch of their eggs in the chicken coop which are mistaken...

Disadvantages:
..."Gotta Catch Em All" is the craze as you prepare to be invaded by the craziest critters this side of Mars. The general theme is that you must become an expert Pokemon trainer to seek out & train as many of the Cool pokemon that you can find. After training them up & increasing their powers you can then take on a series of Pokemon master trainers to win coverted championships.
Each of the games (Red Or Blue) versions will contain a different distribution of the 150 Pokemons & some will only be found on either of the versions mentioned, so what if you should want them all, just complete your collection by linking up your Game Boy With a friend to trade or even fight your best Pokemon against each other.
