...This review is of the hotel, Crowne Plaza, at Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC). I stayed here for one night in February 2010, and was also able to eat the evening meal and breakfast in the hotel.
The room was quite expensive, but was booked at quite short notice, so it wasn't possible to take advantage of the offers which I've noticed can be taken at this hotel if you're prepared to...

Crowne Plaza deserves another Crown
Advantages: 4 Star hotel, Situated in good location, Friendly staff, Beautiful hotel, Good hotel facilities
Disadvantages: Expensive
...got a great deal of £150 per room that included both dinner and breakfast this was a very good deal and booked it within an hours notice. I think that at different times of the year and also it was a weekend and hotels are usually not as busy at weekends when they don?t have the businessmen staying in the hotel.

The Crowne Plaza is a lovely hotel situated perfectly by the waterfront...

Manchester Airport Crowne Plaza - OK but nothing special
Advantages: Convenient and clean
Disadvantages: Dark and unmemorable.
...decide which 2 weren't going to be picked up on that trip. As the other party were in one large group they were a little miffed that a couple were left behind and we ended up feeling that they thought we had pushed in front of the queue.
To sum up the Crowne Plaza is a perfectly acceptable and presentable place for an overnight stay to catch a flight but if the Hilton is available and within £5...
