Review of Risky Business (DVD)

Cruise control

Advantages: Comfortable, well-equipped, well-run
Disadvantages: Large, impersonal, expensive

...the temptation to see the Galápagos Islands. The Galápagos Explorer 2 might not be the most exotic, romantic or cheapest way to do so, but it is reliably efficient and comfortable. You will come away having been well informed, well looked after and well fed, and on that rather unexciting basis I would recommend it. My main reservation would be that it is all rather impersonal, even bland. For much of the time you might as well be on any medium-sized modern cruise-ship anywhere, which, unless you're a devotee of cruises for their own sake, is hardly the point. Everything on the GE2 is kept under control; this insulates you from discomfort but may also subtly insulate you against what is most valuable in visiting the Galápagos, absorbing the atmosphere of a unique natural habitat in the raw. Review of Galapagos Explorer 2

Speed 2 Out of Control

Advantages: some okay action sequences
Disadvantages: everything else

...The original Speed, released in 1994, was a rock solid adrenaline pumping film, which, apart from the last 10 minutes, left you wanting more. It's sequel, Speed 2 Cruise Control, is terrible. The action sequences are limp, the adrenaline pumping moments of tension non-existent and the script appalling. Replacing Keanu Reeves from the first film is action man Jason Patric, who looks good on screen but is merely a cardboard cut out action man, in the vein of Jean Claude Van Damme, but much much worse. Reeves obviously had the sense to jump ship (excuse the pun!), but Sandra Bullock is still there, playing the cutesy yet clumsy female lead who's now changed boyfriends. A cruise on Windermere

Advantages: No driving, fresh air, wonderful scenery
Disadvantages: May be a bit wet and windy up top depending on the weather

The people who run the cruises are a company called Windermere Lake Cruises ? I bet it didn?t take too long to think of that name! The company runs cruises across the lake between Bowness, Ambleside (Waterhead) and Lakeside. Bowness is a pretty holiday town which is the ?heart? of the Lake District. Sixaxis controller

Advantages: Motion control, blutooth

...I have owned a playstation 3 for a number of years now with a sixaxis controller. The controller is extreamly suffisticated as well as all of the normal buttons which are used for conventional gameplay it also contains a gyroscope which monitors its position and movements in six axis, clever hey. The sxiaxis motion control offers a new way to play games and makes things more interesting and more challenging. For example when playing a racing game with a friend and we get a little bored we may play a game where we just use the motion control which makes it alot more challenging and adds alot of amusement. Some of the best games I have found to use with the sixaxis include Super Rub a Dub very entertaining no matter who you are. As time goes on the use of the motion control wil get better and better and will include better refinement...

PS3 Sixaxis Controller

Advantages: Battery Life / Charge Times ; Nice Size

...I don't think there's that much that can be said about this specific product...it's a controller. However, I'll give an account of my experiences of this controller over the past two years. I got two of these sixaxis controllers free with my PS3 so was able to rotate between using one and charging the other, hopefully allowing me to prolong the usability of the contollers. Unfortunately, after about a year and a half ( and many hours of use, 200+ ) the left analogue stick on both controllers began to squeak and stick. I'm pretty sure the analogue bashing involved in Beijing Olympics contributed highly to this. The main disadvantages of this for me is when I'm playing Call of Duty and I'm hiding behind an object and without realising have begun slowly moving out into the open.   A Cruise to remember

Advantages: See all the ancient towns cities and temples

...During one of our holidays to Crocodile Island at Luxor in Egypt we signed up to go on a Nile Cruise with our tour operator, Thomsons. It was for four days and three nights and cost £330 all inclusive this included an outside cabin, (a window cabin), all meals some buffet some a la Carte, our own guide, (English speaking Egyptologist), all the trips and entrance charges to the temples and museums. We were so excited as we had not planned to do a cruise before we came to Egypt, but we were shown a short film and given all the details at our welcome rep meeting when we first arrived. They made the cruise sound so exotic and beautiful and yes they were right it was everything and more. We were advised on what we should wear and that we would need plenty of water as all the trips to the temples and museums would be at the hottest time...

A superb controller!

Advantages: great wireless technology
Disadvantages: quite expensive

...This the wireless controller for all xbox 360 consoles regardless of whether they are the arcade console or the newest elite console. This controller will work on all the consoles. The controller itself is just as important as the console as without the console you are kind of stuck and can't do much. This controller is also wireless! Wireless: I remember when i had my PS2 and PS1 and had all those wires dragged across the room and getting all twisted within each other - then my mum would always complain about them being left everywhere and wire becoming a hazard. Now that is no longer a problem with the new xbox controllers coming completely wireless. I can now sit where I want in my room and not have to worry about the wire getting caught or stretching across to my desk with the controller in my hand and suddenly being jerked back...

Advantages: ergonomic triggers
Disadvantages: no rumble pack

...I am extreamly made up with this new controllers for the playstation 3, the good points: 1) the reaction time between the controller and the console is so responsive its like it is connected via a wire. 2) the motion sensors are well balanced and the new triggers are a welcomed addition.3) The controller has a very long battery life. Downsides 1) its a shame that each controller does not have its own charger this would make it much easier to charge rather then having to share the one lead which is included with the consol. 2) its a great shame that the sixaxis controler does not have a rumble pack intergrated but I do believe that the next model will. 3) For me the fact that the controller(s) do not turn themselves off when they have not been used for a coulple of minutes is a shame this would be a great addition however I really like...

PS3 game controller

Advantages: Lightweight, good battery life
Disadvantages: No shock device biult in for vibrations to enhance gameplay.

...It's a good lightweight controller. It doesn't have the weight that the xbox 360 controller has, which I think is better, but is does the job. The controller also does not give you any vibrations when using it in games, which would have been nice as this adds more realism to gameplay. Another plus to the xbox 306 controller. It's wireless and uses bluetooth to communicate with the PS3. This works perfectly. Battery life is also very good, you can get around 30 hours gameplay before you need to recharge. The controller also has motion sensors built into it allowing you on certain games to move the controller instead of the pads to make the car in F1 move from side to side. This is very sensitive and requires patience to master. I think we have all become too used to using the gamepad to move around the screen. Overall...
