Indestructible laptop bags!

...I first came across Crumpler when I picked up my Sony Vaio notebook and it came with a mini Crumpler notebook bag. I was really impressed and had a look at the Crumpler website and liked what I saw, they really push the brand on the website and have created a website to show it. And then comes the price list to go along with the brand, bags go between £50 and up to over £100. A quick search round the internet, found most websites that sell them, sell them at or near they?re RRP. But looking on eBay you can get them for between £30 and £50, mostly second hand but as Crumplers are almost indestructible they?re almost all as new. The Crumpler I bought in the end is the McBain?s range the extra large model which supports up to 15? laptops. My bag is blue and orange but they do it in several other colours. Viva Crumpler!!

Advantages: Robust and resilient, looks good
Disadvantages: Not waterproof (not expected to be, but would have been nice!)

...I\'ve been using one of these for about 12 months now. Mines the cream/black/maroon version. As with all Crumpler bags, it's very sturdy and well made, and lots of practical features but be aware, this bag is most definitely NOT waterproof like most of their other bags, due to the neoprene panels (the main part of the bag is made from their water resistant ChickenTex fabric). Not a problem, just something to be aware of. Also, as with all Crumpler bags, it is very stylish and whilst it's maybe a bit more expensive than other brands, you DO seem to get what you pay for with their products. This little bag has had some serious abuse and apart from being a bit mucky (it's cream in colour - what do you expect), it's in great condition. ...I received a DVD in a jiffy bag recently opened the bag carefully and put the bag ready to reuse with about 20 other old jiffy bags I have ready for recycling. Actually I am not sure that all of them are genuine jiffy bags but they are the same sort of thing. Jiffy bags made by Jiffy have been available for several years now I think they go back to the 1950?s. Jiffy bags are handy padded envelope bags that can be bought in a variety of sizes some as small as to 164 x 285mm, then several sizes upwards to 247 x 387mm, probably even larger ones available. The original bag is a golden brown heavy duty paper. The padded filling can be as simple as shredded paper. ...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there.
