...Le Royal Meridien Spa Beach Resort and Spa Have stayed at the Meridien Spa twice now and it has to have been one of the best hotels I have stayed in. If we are flying through Dubai it is the only place the family will stay in for a couple of days stop over. Upon arrival in Dubai, after negotiating the immigration queues. LeMeridien will meet you (if prearranged) and drive you to the resort. The hotel is situated about 25 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the centre of Dubai. Taxis are available but last time I visited it was a nightmare trying to find one at 3 in the morning! You cannot walk from your hotel into town unless you are mad! Viva Crumpler!!

Disadvantages: Not waterproof (not expected to be, but would have been nice!)

...I\'ve been using one of these for about 12 months now. Mines the cream/black/maroon version. As with all Crumpler bags, it's very sturdy and well made, and lots of practical features but be aware, this bag is most definitely NOT waterproof like most of their other bags, due to the neoprene panels (the main part of the bag is made from their water resistant ChickenTex fabric). Not a problem, just something to be aware of. Also, as with all Crumpler bags, it is very stylish and whilst it's maybe a bit more expensive than other brands, you DO seem to get what you pay for with their products. This little bag has had some serious abuse and apart from being a bit mucky (it's cream in colour - what do you expect), it's in great condition. It is a three star hotel and has 186 guest rooms offering views of Brighton beach or the town centre. My experience of the hotel: I spent one night in the hotel in January of this year and for a three star hotel I was quite impressed. I and my girlfriend booked a double room for £55 and it was a spacious room with a four poster bed, couch, satellite television, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath.
