...Cadbury's crunchy has been around for a staggering 80 years now, and would appear to remain as popular as ever.With dimensions of 1 inch by 7 inches by 0.75 inches and weighing 44 grammes, it's a fairly standard sized and rather light snack, consisting of a thin layer of milk chocolate with a golden honeycombed centre, all wrapped up in shiny and attractive gold packaging. Its design means that it's not as filling as say a Mars bar, but then at only 207 calories per bar it has almost 80 calores less than a Mars bar as well. My own personal preference is to bite off a bit then let the chocolate melt before crunching through the remaining honeycomb centre. Crunchy Granola

They also say that they have devoted themselves to baking the best crunchy granola bars around. Well, I definitely agree with that statement. Nature Valley actually describe these bars as, ?delicious and crunchy.? The granola itself has been baked into handy snack size bars. These bars are indeed very crunchy but what?s nice is at the same time they are nice and crumbly as they have lots of oats and crumbs all over them which is great. The bars come two to a pack and are probably about 10cm long and 3 cm wide. They come in a number of different flavours but I will just concentrate on the flavours that come in the variety box. ...The Crunchie bar was launched in 1925 by J S fry and Sons, it became a Cadbury product after a corporate merger took place. Oh this bit is interesting... Crunchie Bars are manufactered in the UK,the honeycomb sponge toffee is made in large slabs. Because cutting the slab with a blade would cause it to fall apart and using a water jet would lead to the toffee slab melting they developed a highly focussed jet of oil that can success fully cut sharp edged portions. If I am honest with myself the thought of enjoying eating a Crunchie Bar appeals to me far more than knowing how they are made! ( how selfish ) This review has been prompted because the Other Half took a trio to Lidl`s where at this moment in time Crunchie Bars are on a promotion, 2 x 5 packes for £2.50. Crunchie satisfies

...Well it was only Monday and I had that need some chocolate or sweets before I go crazy feeling. I do not often feel like that till later in the week but it had just been one of those days. I am not sure why but I really fancied a crunchie, Crunchie are made by Cadbury. Cadbury always make a good chocolate I think. I purchased a chrunchie for 41p (I notice good old Tesco are selling 3 bars for 91p) these are the 40g bars. Now my dears in the dark ages when I was a nipper Chrunchies only were sold in this size nowadays you can buy Chrunchies in snack sizes a pack with several inch sized mini crunchie or a standard 250 size , They used to make a king size too but I believe they stopped making that last year. A chocolate bar with Crunchie pieces in is available too. Crunchie ice cream and cheesecakes and a few other deserts...

Crunchy Nut Heaven!

Whether it's something you like to do, a special hobby you have taken an interest in, or if you're anything like me, it will be a phase of obsessive eating th same things. I often have my "phases! with particular chocolate bars and special luxury biscuit collections. However the things I crave aren't always unhealthy and don't always have to break the bank! Breakfast is something I always try to make time for, and i usually opt for a bowl of cereal, if not toast. Now like most things, I go through phases with breakfast cereals, and I eat the same one, week in week out, untill i get bored of it and move onto a new one. ...Just imagine the scene, you're tucked up in your warm cosy bed after a lovely nights sleep. Its cold and probably raining outside. Why would you want to get up?....to have your breakfast of course. Well thats what helps me get up in the morning anyway. A great big bowl full of crunchy nut cornflakes covered in cold milk. Mmmmmm. Crunchy nut cornflakes can be brought from any supermarket or local grocery store. They come in either 500g or 750g boxes, and cost from £2 to £4 depending on where you get them from and what size box you get. They are made by Kelloggs. The boxes are mainly yellow with a picture of the cornflakes at the bottom. It shows more of the cornflakes falling down and splashing into the milk. Since the Crunchie was first introduced in 1929, the recipe hasn't seen many changes. This is mostly due to a very simple idea. All the Crunchie bar is, is a honey comb centre which is coated by Cadburys milk chocolate. Don't get the wrong idea that, I don't like honey so I won't like this. Personally, I hate honey but I absolutely love Crunchies. Taste As was described briefly in the intro, the Crunchie bar tastes brilliant. The mix of honeycomb and milk chocolate really does work well together. The honeycomb centre tends to be quite hard or "crunchie", hence the name. Crunchie Delight

...I tried these first some 3 years ago. I went to my local shop and so this bar there in the cabinet and thought "I have never seen this before. May as well try it" so I bought it and to my surprise it was absolutely gorgeous. The sticky honey combed bar is gorgeous. Plus the actual crunchy biscuit is also delightful. The chocolate bar tastes just like a chocolate bar, but the crunchyness is divine and the biscuit is great too. It doesn't even fall all over the place like some biscuits do when you bite into it. The thin coating of chocolate over the bar is lovely and makes my mouth water! The packaging is ever so wonderful to look at. It is a golden - foil wrapping and this is an excellent colour to use I feel because it makes you wonder how delightful the bar is going to be and it describes the golden honey bar too. Are you a crunchy nutter??? I am!

...I recently purchased a 750g box of Kelloggs Crunchy Nut from Asda for the special offer price of £2 (actually 19p cheaper than the 500g price!). The box is made from cardboard, golden in colour and shows you a bowl of crunchy nut cereal, quite basic packaging that can be recycled. Inside the box you have a sealed plastic type bag which contains the cereal. Crunchy Nut Cereal is cornflakes coated with brown sugar, honey and very finely chopped nuts. You can eat Crunchy Nut as part of the "2 meals, 2 bowls, 2 weeks" challenge which states that if you eat Crunchy Nut for two of your three days meals and replace the third meal with something healthy and well-balanced that you will drop a jean size in 2 weeks. I have never followed this but I know several people that have with great results. A 30g portion of cereal is 117 calories...
