Blackberry Curve 8310

...So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The phone has a lovely metallic finish, almost like a gunmetal grey colour to it although it does come in a pink version too (I wasn't allowed this for work unfortunately!) Blackberry Curve 8900, unbeatable, does everything!!

Advantages: Range of features, battery life, ease of use, constantly evolving applications

...During the last ten years I've owned Nokia, Motorola and HTC handsets. However, when I got my hands on a brand new Blackberry Curve 8900 everything became so incredibly easy. When I assessed the merits of the Blackberrys I narrowed my choice down to the Curve but had to choose between the keypad or touchscreen versions. I'm glad to say that I made the right choice with the keypad version as pictured here. This box of tricks does everything I need. The Blackberry Curve 8900 has its own very specific way of operating which is very different to others manufacturers. Being a typical bloke I didn't read the instructions and leaped straight in. ...could still be improved- I do agree with the other users who have reviewed this product when they say that the mascara wand is a little 'gimmicky' as the curves on the brush make it a little more difficult than necessary to apply. But the silicon spikes seems to spread the black substance on the lashes fairly evenly anyway and my lashes don't get clumped and look long and thick- exactly what you want from a mascara. I am glad I got the waterproof version of the mascara as I do, for some weird reason, get watery eyes a lot- especially in the cold windy winter months and occasionally when I manage to poke myself in the eye with a sharp object (previously including cutley, pens, hairbrushes and fingers...) and I am also quite a softie for crying at cute movies (or even charity adverts...) ...i recently got the blackberry curve 8320 as a replacement phone from cex, i am quite pleased with it, the cursor is really nice to move around the phone with, and the qwerty keyboard is really good and easy to use, i can send texts with it very fastly. this phone would be great if you have unlimited internet in your contract because it has a facebook app already on the phone and loads of applications ready to download. i say if you have unlimited internet because it doesnt have wifi, which is why i am going to sell this phone and maybe get another blackberry that does have wifi. what i did notice with mine is after a while it looks very tatty from scratches not because i mis-treat it because the phone picks them up quite well and because of the colour. the camera is pretty rubbish at 2mp and there is no video recorder. ...Every now and again I do like to change up my make-up and try new things out. I find its way too easy to find yes a great product but then become almost addicted to it or to just buy the same item out of habit. Or to just save the hassle of trawling through all the various brand names as well as the million of different types of the same thing they sell! I've got nothing against anyone who sticks to a great product they've found (this does save a LOT of hassle) but I can't help but feel that if I did this I might be greatly missing out. I frequently hear great things about beauty products I've disregarded as useless and gimmicky so now I endeavour to give new so-called 'amazing' products at least one go in an attempt not to miss out on a potential new must have item. Microsoft Curve- Fantastic

Advantages: Price, Layout, Hot Keys, Easy of Use, Quality
Disadvantages: Takes a couple of weeks to get used to

...Bought the Keyboard a couple of months ago to replace my old dell one that came with the computer. I didn't get on with the way that the keys didn't always work or respond. The Curve keyboard is so good as it is like normal desktop keys with the flatness and comfort of a typical laptop keyboard. I am using it now and find it great for touch typing as i can just slide my fingers around the board to type at a nice constant pace. The layout of the keyboard is interesting, the middle keys are larger than the ones to the side. Microsoft say this is for easy of use in the typical method of typing that many people use. I have to say that i took me a week or two of using the keyboard before getting used to the way that the keys are positioned and shaped. However months on i am incredibly happy with the layout as it is much easier to use...

...I've recently obtained the Blackberry Curve 8900 after using a Blackberry Pearl for around 2 years. The first thing I noticed about this phone was its very sleek and appealing look, making it the most attractive Blackberry RIM has produced thus far. Its chrome edging, full QWERTY keyboard and 2.44 inch screen amount to one very attractive phone. One feature I particularly liked upon using the phone for the first few minutes was the 'hidden' lock and mute buttons making the basic processes much faster if you keep your phone in a pocket. The QWERTY keypad is a mastered feature from RIM, it's child's play writing word documents or long emails all day long. The High Resolution LCD screen is also very high quality and plays video's with very good quality. The phone takes the more sleek approach seen in the Storm rather than that of curves...

Blackberry Curve - changed my life. (or at least made me lazier)

Advantages: Feature packed, easy to use, nice big screen, good for everything.
