...Me and my husband stayed at the Laura Beach hotel Cyprus from 20th June to 28th June 2007 with Libra holidays. Please note this hotel is also known as Luca Laura Beach and also Cyprotel Laura Beach depending on the brochure, I questioned the rep about this and apparently it used to be part of the Luca group of hotels but has been de-branded. We paid £400 each all inclusive including reserved flight seats. HOTEL The hotel is situated about 30-40 minutes drive from the airport but this does depend on how many drop off's there are. It is situated on the beach front if you can call it that, as it is man made and you do need to go down several steep paths and steps which with the sand are very slippy needless to say when you finally meet the bottom there are a lot of rocks, we only ventured down the once. Ascos Coral Beach Hotel,Cyprus. One of the nicest hotels.

Advantages: Close to beach, peaceful , no children, close to bars
Disadvantages: Shingle beach by hotel.

...We stayed at the Ascos Coral beach Hotel ,Cyprus, in June 2009. The hotel, during the summer months is for adults only,which if your are on a relaxing holiday makes a big difference. Once you enter the hotel you can notice straight away that there are no children running around, its very peaceful. The hotel is around half an hour drive from the airport at Paphos. It is located on the coast and has a pathway down to a shingle beach which to be honest we did not use as it was a bit awkward to walk along. The shops, not many mind, and the bars are about a five minutes walk. If you want to go to the coral bay beach it would take you around 15 minutes to walk there at the most, and to drive there it would take around 1 minute. Shouldn't a beach resort have a beach?

Advantages: Nice room, friendly service, good location
Disadvantages: Err.. no beach?

The service was consistently average though. Epicurean Restaurant: inside, looking onto the outdoor pool. Evenings only, buffet starter and desert, main course a la carte. We ate here the first night, the food and the service were both very good. Cava Fine Dining: evenings only, upmarket and pricey. They boast about the French chef. BEST BEACH IN CYPRUS NOT TO MENTION THE DIVING

Advantages: Great location, extensive amount of food and drink available
Disadvantages: Parts of hotel need updating

..., alcohol (local alcohol free only) and ice cream available all day. There are quizzes and pool activities during the day which are quite fun but the evening entertainment is pretty poor. Bingo every night with a jackpot of (drumroll) £10! Once a week the hotel has a casino night which is great, you can play roulette, blackjack, craps or poker. The hotel is in a great position just off the main strip of Coral Bay and about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. We would return to this hotel as we think it is good value for money and you get what you pay for....

Pernera beach hotel.

Advantages: Quality hotel in a beachside location.
Disadvantages: Quite a distance from major tourist attractions.

...the edge of your seats! This area of Cyprus is not very pretty either (scenery wise) Pernera beach hotel had everything we wanted for a quiet relaxing week away. Service and cleanliness cannot be faulted, and the people of Cyprus were all very friendly. Just be prepared to ditch the diet whilst you are staying here!!...

A City with a Beach

Advantages: Good touring base, plenty to do
Disadvantages: Busy town with heavy traffic

The sea front stretches for over 10 miles and there are major roads with heavy traffic. Away from the sea front there are large commercial and industrial areas and much new building in progress. There is no train service in Limassol, indeed there are no trains in Cyprus. There is a bus service within Limassol and buses run to Nicosia and the other major towns. Buses generally run until midnight during the tourist season and until about 6 pm out of season. Taxis are readily available but hiring a car is advisable if you want to travel around to any great extent. A car will enable you to do plenty of sightseeing around the island and to get to the less easily accessible beaches and mountain villages too, so it's well worth...

Adams Beach - Ayia Napa

Advantages: Clean and well equipped.
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest.

...After having just spent a two week honeymoon at this four star hotel I have plenty to say about it. The hotel is situated on the edge of the up and coming resort of Ayia (Agia) Napa on the south east coast of Cyprus. It is about two miles from the centre, making it quiet if you want quiet, but with the hustle and bustle of "the Square" about half an hours walk away. It is very hot in Cyprus so walking may not be the best option, the taxi fare of only around C£4 is well worth it. There are also buses which run every 30 minutes or so for 50 cents.
