As recently as 24 years ago the bohemian beauty of Prague was still cloaked from Western eyes, however since 1989 the unearthly charms of this grand European capital have been captivating millions of tourists keen to make up for lost time.On the fringe of the historic cobbled centre, Pure White embodies the elegant facade and modern rebirth of the Czech capital. Within its classic five-tiered exterior is an ultra-modern interior from multi-award winning designers Jestico & Whiles. Glide into the vaulted lobby, with its globular lighting that floats over a sleek reception - noting the hip lobby bar for later forego the lift to admire the bare bricked spiral staircase, and marvel at your steel four-poster bed that will act as a welcome sanctuary after exploration of the many fine sights (and possibly pilsners) of the erstwhile capital of Bohemia.

PRAHA Prague is a golden city of a hundred towers, a gem on the Moldau and a young city with a long history. The most famous of all bridges across the Moldau is the Charles Bridge that connects the old town of Stare Mesto with the city district of Mala Strane below Castle Mountain. Old Town Square is the name of a picturesque square in the centre of the old town surrounded by houses and churches whose facades form a colourful blend of numerous architectural styles.Prague Castle originated from a Slavic settlement in the 9th century A.D. and it is the largest castle complex in the world. The front of the main building measures more than half a kilometre. The Royal Palace is the present living quarters of the country's president. Nearly one third of its inner courtyard belongs to St. Veits Dom a wonderful Gothic cathedral whose construction took several centuries. A boat trip on the Moldau is an absolute must on any visit to Prague. Most of the excursion boats leave from Charles Bridge close to the Kampa Peninsula. The journey travels beneath a few of the city's sixteen bridges and the view from the boat adds a totally different perspective to the sights experienced on the city's streets.Everyone who visits this city falls in love with it and cannot help but be totally fascinated by its special ambience. Prague is a thing of beauty in the very heart of Europe!
Advantages: Relaxed atmosphere, feels more "Czech" than Prague. Disadvantages: Not much to see; lacks genuinely great pubs, restaurants & nightlife.

The real charms of the Czech Republic's second city reveal themselves over time. With a population of around 400,000, it often feels smaller, with many locals evacuating the city for the countryside at the weekends. The immediate center is tiny, and Brno's attractions can be...
Advantages: Varied Culture, Warm people Disadvantages: Spoilt by joining the EU
...People talk about the Czech Republic, when they really mean Prague. Prague is like most major cities in Europe, its big, beautiful, and has its own certain cultures to attract tourists, it is however, too commercial for my liking (read my other reviews about what I do, and where I go)
I favour the other side of the coin, and my journey\'s reflect that.
Flying to the Czech Republic is easy...
Advantages: Cheap prices, wonderful people, not many English! Disadvantages: Difficult language to grasp.
...Two days after we get back from Prague, and it's +2C in Ipswich. The previous week we were walking around in -10C in Kutna Hora, and it barely touched us. This island cold soaks through your bones, and you want to be back in that picturesque snowscape again.
This is post-holiday blues, of course. Last time I was in the Czech Republic, I was on a mission to get the girl. This time I was...
