Advantages: Superb image quality, well built, High resolution, low noise, Excellent spec.
Disadvantages: Only minor gripes, no CF card included, large and heavy compared to some.

Advantages: Can be used as an SLR and a basic point and shoot Camera

...I brought the Nikon D50 because I wanted to learn how to use an SLR camera, while also being able to just point and shoot when I didn't have the time to concentrate on setting up the shot. This camera is excellent at both. It produces high quality photographs in both situations - I regualrly use pictures I have taken with this camera as backgrounds on my 19 inch computer screen and the picture quality remains excellent - no fuzzy dots! D50 Perfect move up!

Advantages: Fantastic Budget SLR
Disadvantages: Lacks some feature of other SLR's

...I purchased my D50 not long ago. I was in the market for a good digital camera and then I realised that it wasn't to expensive to make the jump from a high end compact to a budget dslr. As soon as I received the camera I switched it to auto mode and started snapping. The results were noticeably improved. Even though it is a 6mega pixel camera. The light sensor, that collects the light, is much larger then a conventional compact sensor. Allowing the pictures to be better in depth. Now don't get me wrong the pictures in auto mode came out well. But I soon learned that the photo taking opportunities where much greater then just point and click. LG Electronics 50 PC1D

Advantages: Great picture, great sound, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Cleaning the screen

...channels without a hitch. Along with freeview you still have an analogue tuner which set up perfectly too. And switching between the 2 modes is just a simple button press. Even the analogue picture comes across very clearly. The sound, as has been mentioned in other reviews, is also another plus point. If you want to crank it up the speakers will handle it with no distortion and even at low volume you won't miss a word. I've not upgrades to Sky HD yet but have seen this set displaying HD. To my mind, it handles HD better than a lot of more expensive sets. Playing XBOX games is another thing to look forward to. Playing Halo 2 is almost like being on another planet and TOCA 3 is total immersement. I'm looking forward to purchasing the XBOX360 ELITE so I can experience some true HD gaming. ...Where do i begin? I got one of these just before Christmas 2006, i chose a wall mount for it as-well because i think it looks better on the wall ! The installation was a breeze, mounted the brackets to the back of telly, then others to the wall and hung it ! simple, it only took two of us to lift it. It was plug and play from there on , i have always had sky digital, and now upgraded to SKY HD, the HDMI cable plugged into the back of the TV and then into the set top box and within moment the very large 50 inch display was filled with colour. I would recommend sitting at-least 5 ft away from the Plasma screen as it gives you a much more cinematic feel. The freeview service to my surprise worked without any programming, i switched the input mode with one press of a button and it was all there ready and waiting...

Review of LG 50 PC1D

V50 just what you'd expect from a Volvo

Advantages: Compact yet spacious enough
Disadvantages: Dodgy ignition system

...Driving over 40,000miles a year I need a solid, safe, dependable vehicle that has the capacity to carry a good amount of stuff and on occasion several dogs and do so in a calm, comfortable way. The V50 fits the bill. Although a bit smaller than my previous V70 it still performs admirably and has a good turn of speed when you need it. Fuel economy is good if driven sensibly (usually around 48mpg although I have acheived 55+) and still pretty good if not... something to consider carefully with prices rising as they are. My overall rating would have been excellent but for the fact that the somewhat unusual ignition system has failed twice and on both occasions needed replacing, taking the car off the road for a week each time. Dont let that put you off though, build quality is very good and aside the ignition I cant fault it....
