Advantages: Good battery time, easy to transport and use
Disadvantages: Poor reliability, started to skip after 2yrs despite anti-skip

...I purchased this quite a long time ago, prior to the mp3 craze. I wanted it to use on the school bus and the lengthy playback persuaded me to purchase it over other models. The design is quite nice, at the time it was the slimmest cd player and the metal ring on the lid is a nice touch. If you want to get the full 115 hours of battery life you need to attach a battery connecting pouch which hangs from the cd player ruining the design. If you use the internal battery you get roughly 41 hrs from it. The addition of a remote is quite useful and good to have as to buy it separately it's not cheap. Although there is anti-skip on the cd player I found that after a year or two on the school bus it did begin to skip and I'd have to hold the cd player at certain angles which definitely wasn't what I'd expected considering the price tag...

  HIP HOP BE BOP and YOU DONT STOP-

Advantages: no skipping– G-Protection, clear sound, compact design, improved battery life with use of G-protection, carry case, car kit
Disadvantages: none really for the price and quality (no remote/CD text)

...CD player supports CD-R/RW discs, so it will allow you to play your home made burned CD’s. In fact the majority of CD’s I play on this are private one’s I’ve cut myself, so here I am now listening to “CH’s Essential Crucial Electro Mix”. In this model, Sony have also extended the battery life claiming 36 hours of use using 2x AA batteries, another positive step forward for Sony. The only thing this CD player will not support is CD text, i.e. it will not display the name of the track, and only the track number is displayed. You spin me right round baby, right round...

Advantages: G-Protection is almost flawless, clear sound
Disadvantages: Buttons are a bit fiddly and it doesn't fly too well. At the wrong volume/bass settings the sound becomes a bit tinny

The MUSIC sounds better with you...

Advantages: Doesn't skip, excellent battery life, looks good

That day came and so I looked at my options, the options that presented themselves to me were: MP3 Player ~~~~~~~~~ I wanted something that wouldn't skip when I was walking at pace so I considered picking up an MP3 player. I have a CD Recorder you see so I could burn MP3s onto a CD and listen to them on the move. ...among the best clarity available. Bass comes in three levels; None at all, Partial, and Full. The Bass within this walkman is superior to all other walkmans I've tried, which is good for me as I love the atmosphere carried with great bass. There's no crackling or noise with this walkman, which is yet another advantage, becomes sometimes the digital or CD noise sticks out like a broken nose with other walkmans. ---G-Protection--- Secondly, this player is a real fighter against skipping - A dominant problem throughout every CD player created. Not with this one. I'd Shake and Jig all I could, but the CD player shrugged it off, and not a single skip or problem occured.
