Go Wireless with D-Link

I think these USB dongles are best suited to retro-fitting laptops that came without WLAN or for those people dis-inclined to take the lid off of their desktop. ...Back in March 2007, I bought my first laptop. This brought the number of computers in our house up to a grand total of three (my own desktop, my daughter's and the new laptop). It struck me that perhaps it was time to get networked. A hard wired network was out of the question, as I didn't want to start drilling holes and running cables everywhere, so a wireless solution seemed to be the way to go. I did a little research, as I'm not too au fait with this side of computing (though I have assisted in installing one before). D-Link DSL-2542B - router is a HOT buy !

Old modem and others 'still' work fine and they are back in place. I was trying to modernise and get ready for ADSL2 an this modem should have worked fine on normal ADSL too and it gets dangerously hot in my view and after 2 emails with D-Link they did not reply any more to me avoiding the problem. So, I sent it back to Amazon and asked for a full refund - not Amazon fault and thinking that it was at 'only' £. 24.99 and no postage, that should have been a warning ! I hope for D-Link sake, it was only mine faulty and it is not a normal way or working for this modem. I understand that this game has other names but I don't know what they are. Switch is a unique game, in that it doesn't follow the whist or rummy format, nor is it a variation of poker or brag. Any number can play but if there will be more than about 8 players, an extra pack of cards must be used. Whether the extra pack of cards has the same design on the back as the first pack, is irrelevant. The speed of the game is such, that there shouldn't be time to work out the probability of a player holding a particular card, based on the difference in the back of the card.
