Coming in a refreshingly simple yet stylish looking casing, the product looks professional, and the performance it delivers reflects that, with the reception and quality of sound both crystal clear. The radio also offers exemplary ease of use, with five possible preset stations, and an easy to navigate and clearly marked button system that manages to be self-evident and yet understated. What is more, all of this is offered for an astoundingly cheap price; at pretty much £25, this is the cheapest DAB digital radio that I am aware of on the market. So if you are bemoaning the crackly reception of your old FM radio, the Mikomi FM DAB radio is a brilliant investment with fantastic value for money. You aren't going to get any more out of it than that...

Pure 1500 handheld DAB / FM Radio

...I purchased a Pure 1500 Handheld DAB / FM Radio and had it for one week as I did not get on very well with the buttons. I consequently found something else in its place. Here is the lowdown of the Pure 1500 handheld DAB Radio. What it does: FM and DAB with RDS (Radio Data System) which displays the radio broadcast data, ie: The station name, song data, artist data etc. Rechargable battery which boasts to last for upto 24 hours using DAB. 20 Presets (10 FM stations and 10 DAB stations which means your favourite stations can be stored and accessed at the touch of one button. 5 EQ Settings Hardware: The casing is made from metal and was slightly bigger than I was anticipating. Disadvantages: time freezes and then doesn't work, horrible alarm noise, not easy to use.

...Was given this last Christmas as a present. It isn't the easiest of clock radios to understand, the instructions aren't too bad, but trying to remember what to do each time you use it isn't easy, I find that I have to have the instructions to hand on each occasion. It has quite often had me wanting to throw it out of the window. The worst point about it is that for some unknown reason the time 'sticks' and the clock becomes un-useable, you have to unplug it to re-start it, I have taken it back for an exchange a couple of times, but to be honest I can't wait for next Christmas to a I can have another new one. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CLOCK IF YOU WANT IT TO GET YOU UP IN A MORNING, THE TIME WILL HABVE PROBABLY FROZEN ON IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT....

However if you do have Sat Nav, this can also be a con - if you think about it, another thing to remember in the morning and another thing stuck to your window. Another draw back to it is that you may find the cable gets in the way, dependent on where you have it. It is supplied with a in car power supply which you plug into your ciggerrate lighter - which can also be another downside if your Sat Nav starts to lose it's battery life. You can use standard batteries, but it's not as good - the signal seems weaker and it's definately not as loud. As a drummer, I am going deaf so I need things as loud as possible! Advantages: Inexpensive, decent output for a bedroom or smaller room, mp3 capability
Disadvantages: No good for a larger room due to the 5 watt output per speaker

...I have owned one of these Phillips DAB1000 portable radios for a year now. I paid £35 on eBay, but they can go for as much as £70 on the high street. Supplied with the radio: Headphones, two rechargeable batteries, charger and a protective pouch. The radio to me feels sturdy and tough, i use mine on a daily bases when I'm on my tractor/mower in all weather conditions (Damp, Dust, Cold conditions) and it hasn't failed me yet. I only have two Qualms with it. First one is the battery life' it says on the manufactures spec it has a 10 hour life...... More like 5! So i would recommend you carry a spare set of batteries with you. Second is the location of the headphone socket which is on the side of the radio, which makes it hard to get it into it's pouch. It would have been better on the top if you ask me? The sound of the of the DAB radio...

...This is a good quality Dab radio that offers good value for money in the short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be anle to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. The consumer will have to spend a short period of self-training in order to become fully acquainted with using the product. This can be achieved fairly efficiently by making reference to the guide/instructions that comes in the box. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore have to recommend the product. A great feature of the revo is that there are a few accessories available such as a remote control, a case, a second car kit to transfer between multiple vehicles and a home docking station to use it through a home hifi or computer. The final gadget available is the one allowing you to use it as a personal DAB radio. I have recently bought the case as i requires a way of protecting it whiilst out of the car. The quality of the reception is excellent but can vary on the part of the country you live in. When i first tuned it in i was able to obatin over 30 differerent stations.
