However if you do have Sat Nav, this can also be a con - if you think about it, another thing to remember in the morning and another thing stuck to your window. So far so good

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use
Disadvantages: Needs an external aerial to get full advantage (in my case anyway)

...I used to have a DAB radio in my old Vauxhall Vectra company car & when it came to replace it I went for a Toyota which doesn't have a DAB as standard (£1500 upgrade with sat-nav, rear camera etc) even though it has a DAB button so I went for a Pure Highway, as previously stated these take up more space on the windscreen with cables everywhere. I came up with the solution of fitting it into my centre console armrest, out of sight, open the cover to change channels, luckily my armrest has a 12V socket & a Aux in so I don't have to use the FM transmitter. Unfortunately the aerial cable was too short so I bought a 2.5mm connector 2m extension cable off e-bay. I tried the windscreen mounted aerial in several windows, I relly wanted to put it in the side quarter panel (I've had windscreens replaced on most of my cars so didn't want to...

The Pure Highway saved my life

Advantages: Very Portable and very easy to use
Disadvantages: Suffers from poor signal in some remote areas

.... The Highway also has an external input and an external output meaning you can plug an ipod into it and use it to listen through the in car stereo. The Highway also takes batteries and can be used as a portable DAB radio with headphones. A brilliant Radio it makes my working day a pleasure...

The Very DAB

Advantages: Inexpensive, decent output for a bedroom or smaller room, mp3 capability
Disadvantages: No good for a larger room due to the 5 watt output per speaker

It?s to be expected that the AM aerial will be a separate job, but surely DAB still uses frequencies similar to FM, and could therefore use the same aerial ? after all, there?d be no point in running both tuners at once. The remote seems a bit lightweight and slow to work. Not exactly a moan, but with so many means of listening to music, it seems a shame that it?s a standalone item, with limited speaker separation and no means of sending the signal to a ?proper? hi-fi?. Here is the lowdown of the Pure 1500 handheld DAB Radio. Dip Dab, the sherbet sensation!

...Having used dabs.com only twice, I cannot really give a fair opinion on what the shop/service is like. I can however alert people to the mistakes they made with both of my products and hopefully warn them so it doesn't happen to them. I didn't actually shop online, I drove to the warehouse in Westhoughton (Bolton district) as I only live in Wigan (about 15 mins drive away). On the first occasion, i bought a Fujitisu hard drive - 20.4GB at just £73 - bargain I thought. However after getting the new hard drive home and discovering that I had to then download the software for it myself, I soon discovered the new hard drive wasn't working at all.
