Daewoo KOR6Q8GSL, unexciting but reliable

...We have had our Deawoo KOR6Q8GSL for approximately two years. We initally choose it because we wanted one that had touch control, that was at least 800 watts, higher wattage means more power so less cooking time. This model had both of those, the price was reasonable and we also liked the design. There are three buttons on the outside Reheat, Stop / Clear and Start / Speed Cook , all the other touch controls are on the inside and can only be seen when you open the door. I think this gives the Daewoo KOR6Q8GSL a very sleek and stylish look with no nooks and crannies to trap the dirt. I have found it quite easy and simple to use. The touch controls inside are quite self-explanatory. There are five auto-cook functions 1. Bread 2. Soup 3. Jacket potato 4. Fresh vegtables 5. Frozen vegtables. Three auto defrosts one...

...Are they really any good? The model I purchased was KOR-61AP/WH in white. The microwave is 800 watts and contains 5 power levels. Daewoo are a Korean company who if Im not misktaken are in receivership. Surprisingly though my microwave has never had a single problem and has been outstanding value for money! The Microwave was only £79.99 and purchased from Dixons. I know from experience never to purchase items from electrical shops but because its easy and quicker I always seem to do! Overall though not a bad microwave, and one I would recommend!...

...--Background-- We bought this car as a second car, two years ago. Previously, my wife had had the Daewoo Nexia for over 3 years with very little problems. We knew that Daewoo offered us no thrills but we also liked the smooth ride it gave. In the end we settled on a 51 reg CDX which set up back £4000. --From the outside-- For those of you that are not aware, the Tacuma is classed as an MPV. I would say the shape is now slightly dated and I would liken the shape to the Renault Scenic. This model comes with the roof bars as standard and alloy wheels. --From the drivers seat-- Road visibility is very good as you are higher up than a normal car. ...When you think of kitchen appliances you wouldn't automatically consider daewoo would you??well i wouldn't normally.That is until i saw this nifty little model. I don't have a huge kitchen and i have very limited space for certain appliances to be added , when i first saw this microwave i wasn't to sure wether it would be ok considering how compact it looked..It does the job great though.. It comes in back or silver and has a 20litre capacity, 800watts in power with an E rating..It has 5 power levels,4 auto cook menu options and an easy cook facility which is basically a one touch option allowing 30second or 1 minute if you only need some heating slightly. ...From personal experience with the Daewoo Matiz (w Reg) i would not recommend this car. I was insured on this car but it belonged to my brother, and it had faults since we bought it. Maybe it was due to the fact that the car was not new, but even after we carried out repairs on it, the problems remained the same. Our first problem with the car was the clunky gears, they were hard to move and often got stuck and made weird noises! It was annoying to say the least, but it was a problem my brother could just cope with considering it was low priced However, on the way to work one morning, on a 70mph dual carriageway, my brother was driving at 20mph and i told him to put his foot down, but he did, the car just had lost all of its power for no apparent reason. After calling the RAC, we were advised to take it to a garage for a look over...

...I had a Daewoo video recorder for Christmas and was not expecting brilliant things form it. How wrong I was! It is brilliant. DVD is great to have to watch films on but what about Recording? You still need this facility. That is where my Daewoo steps in. Its got 6 reading heads so the picture quality is excellent for such a budget Video. It is not Nicam but it is Hi Fi Compatible. Useful for hooking up to the stereo and annoying the neighbours! It has the facility to be both Loing Play and Short play so you can squeeze twice as much on your tapes than you used to. Quality hardly suffers on long play either. The best thing in my mind is the ability to play both PAL and NTSC videos on one machine. I was sent a American Format Hockey video last year and when I watched it on my old video it was black and white and sound quality suffered...
