...of the show will be starting on January 8th 2010. Torvill and Dean's Dancing On Ice - The Bolero 25th Anniversary DVD is of one of the shows taken from the tour , with the same name. The tour celebrates twenty five years since Torvill and Dean did that famous performance ; The Bolero , at the winter olympics in 1984 which won them a gold medal. This DVD was released on November 9th 2009. Running time is one hundred and eight minutes (twelve minutes under two hours.) This DVD is available to buy from play.com for a price of £7.99, which I think is excellent value considering that it's recommended price is £19.99! I was happy to see that a lot of my favourite celebrities who appeared on the television show were taking part in this tour. Good dance DVD for beginners

Advantages: Fun, great music, basic and easy to understand
Disadvantages: not so good to "get fit", too basic at some points

...I've literally just finished the end of this DVD and thought Id write the review whilst it was still fresh in my mind! Pineapple Studios Everybody Dance does what it says on the tin "Learn To Dance, Get fit, & have fun!" - but only just. The choreographer is really good, and her credibility is backed up by the fact that she has worked with stars like the Sugababes, Rihanna and Mary J Blige. You definitely warm to her, shes not patronising, and you do feel part of the dance class whilst she is teaching you the moves! There are three main routines that she teaches you, each with a chorus and verse - "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado, "SOS" By Rhianna, "Aint No Other Man" by Christina Aguilera and "Beep" by The Pussycat Dolls. The DVD also includes other extras like meeting the dance troupe, make up tips etc as well as a full routine...

...I am writing a review on the DVD Ice princess brought out in 2005. This is a movie about a hard working science student Casey, who enjoys skating. She only ever skates around a lake near her house. However, at school she was set an assignment in science which had to relate to her in someway. The Plot Casey decided that her science project would be the movement skills in skating, so she goes down to the local skating rink and starts filming. She meets Tina Harwood an ex figure skater champion, who is coaching her daughter to be the same. Casey then gains a keen interest in skating, and gets Tina to help her become a professional figure skater. She begins training at the bottom with all this children and works her way up the ladder of skaters. But will she make it? Or is Tina plotting against her so her daughter can win...

...let her dance with him, but even though though they disagree Baby still sneaks out to learn her dance with Johnny. At they end they do there dance that they have been practising and they do it beautifully. This is a lovely film but it is not for the young ones, I was say 12+ to be honest although on the DVD box it states 15+. The running time is 1hr 45 mins and it was fist released in 1987. It is a great film and would recommend if you havent seen it yet. You will really enjoy it. Another one for Patrick Swayze Fans...

Lt Dunbar Dances With Wolves

Advantages: amazing acting and storyline, gorgeous scenery and music
Disadvantages: May be too long for some

...This film is one which hubby really wanted to see but it had never really appealed to me but once I found out it was Kevin Costner who played the lead I was swayed slightly so decided to treat him to the DVD. John Dunbar is serving in the US Army and it is the 1860?s. He gets badly injured and is told he will loose his foot. As a last resort he manages to get away from the hospital an makes his way to a post where the high ranking officers are and after he shows bravery and courage, he really just wanted to be killed, he is treated by their doctors and his foot and leg are saved. As a result he is promoted to Lieutenant and told he can serve at any post he wants. Dunbar decides he wants to go to the Frontier and see it before it is lost so off he sets but he soon discovers that the men their have all been killed so he sets camp up...

The DVD extras host a whole heap of goodies, including; - Scrats new adventure 'Gone Nutty' - Directors Commentaries - Deleted Scenes and multi angle sequences - 'Scrat Reveals' segments - Sid on Sid - character development with commentary - Design galleries, trailers and international clips - Under the Ice : - 'Behind the scenes' featurette - 'Making of' documentary - 6 'Blue Sky' featurettes I personally LOVE this film, and highly recommend it to those of all ages - especially for those who appreciate smart, clever, fun animated films! i don't think there are any parts within the entire movie which I could fault, as it's a high energy, dull of fun quirky moments, which are truly memorable and original! Disadvantages: A simple chick-flick so not for those who like comlexity

...watchers who have really enjoyed this film too. My Dirty Dancing DVD has a rating of 15 but I have been led to believe that it has been re-rated to a 12A standard although I'm not sure why. It lasts for 96 minutes and although my copy has no special features to speak of it really is a pleasure to watch....

One evening, Baby goes for a walk and that is when she first sees Johnny Castle, the dance instructor, you can see from her face she instantly likes him. Although she does think he is spoken for by Penny. Johnny is used by a lot of women there, as he is young and athletic, and they just chose to use him for sex, he is quite gullible, and is not used...

It's all about the dancing!

...add in the excellent music and dancing it absolutely has it all! That is of course if this is the sort of film that you like, It is definitely my sort of film though and as I said at the start it's one I can watch over and over again - and I can always guarantee there will be some bit that will move me to tears. There aren't that many DVD extras but if you fancy a bit of dirty dancing yourself you can have a tutorial and either learn the man's or the woman's steps. I have to confess that I haven#t tried this - I can't quite imagine my husband wanting to join in either! At the moment you can buy the DVD on Amazon for only £4.80 which is definitely well worth the money!...

Dirty Dancing Workout DVD

Advantages: Got me mobile again.
Disadvantages: I want another one after I've learn't these moves.

...It is a fun way to get into exercise or get back to it. You can share the experience with friends/family. More enjoyable than my aerobic class. Good aerobic workout. Learn't new dances i.e. mash potato, mambo. jive, salsa etc. Worth every penny. Love the big fit bloke. Try it for a few weeks and build up moves gradually and you can work out your weakness in your body and get them fine tuned. Great fun and love doing the dance routines at the end now I have built up the moves. Gets the heart rate up, hot and sweaty, tones your upper and lower body, learnt some sexy moves to try out on my holidays - watch out Mexico here I come! Can't wait until the weekend to do it all over again!...
