..."Rant" tells the tale of Rant Casey, born in the redneck town of Middleton to develop an animal bite addiction, become an urban legend and likely a Patient Zero of pan-American rabies epidemic. He leaves Middleton to find his real father in the big, bad city, where he gets involved in a underground game of Party Crashing, where parties dressed in clothes and cars chosen according to the 'flag' of the night meet up to hunt and bump into each other in a game of controlled fender bending. I have not read anything by Palahniuk before, but this is his seventh book and I am told it's not very different from the previous ones. It read as something spawned by a multitude of influences; from Bret Easton Ellis to Vonnegut, DeLillo to William S. Daniel Craig in 'Quotes'!

Advantages: Some good information, easy to read
Disadvantages: Way to much info on each of his films, too many quotes

...This is not a book which I would have gone out of my way to buy but hubby spotted this in a shop a he knows how I enjoy reading biographies so he decided to treat me. When he bought it home I was of course grateful but a bit dubious as to whether I would enjoy it or not but on looking at the back cover of the book I was hooked as there is a lovely big picture of Daniel in his famous Bond swimming trunks coming out of the sea, (yes that is very shallow of me, forgive me I am only human!) The book has been written by Sarah Marshall not by Daniel himself so most of the book is made up of quotes from both Daniel and his friends. The book starts off with a short chapter about his upbringing and how he decided he wanted to be an actor. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

I suffer from very oily skin, I could put my make up on in the morning and then half way through the day my T-Zone is all greasy and my make up basically slides down my face and this ment that every time i touched my face it would take my make up off and a big white patch...horrible!! ...well i first had a taste of this when i was 17, shh dont tell anyone, and i thought it was amazing. i tried it in a mixer with coke in a big glass and once i had drank that one glass i was drinking it all night (i regreted it the next day). jack daniels is a sweet drink, and isnt a dry whiskey like most of them are. it is a drink from tennesse and is distilled in the Jack Daniels Distillery. i would reccomend this drink with coke as i think it is the best drink going and i would say three parts coke to one part jack daniels. you can get jack daniels in bars for about £3.50 for a double shot and coke. i have done shots of jack daniels once or twice but it leaves a nasty taste in your mouth, and a sick feeling, so it is a good idea to have a shot of coke to follow it down with, therefore i try and avoid shots all together...

...I first tried Jack Daniels a couple of years ago, and it is still my drink of choice today. Jack Daniels is a bourbon whiskey hailing from Tennesee, that is delicious on its own or, my preference, with a mixer. Generally a cold coke, a shot of Jack Daniels and a lemon on the side goes down a treat. There are plenty of mixers that go however, lemonade, red bull (an acquired taste), Jack Daniels is a bit expensive, depending on which way you look at it, with a 70cl bottle costing about £17, or 35cl about £13. If it is a drink to have every now and again, then most will not mind spending this amount, but I tend to drink it every weekend with friends, therefore it gets very expensive.
