...I haven?t read a Danielle Steele book for about 10 years but I had a £5 voucher for WHS and this book was in the half price bit so I read the back and it sounded interesting so thought I?d give it a go. The Storyline The story is set around Carole Barber who is a huge film star who seems to have come to a cross roads in her life. She hasn?t made a film in three years after losing her husband and is trying to write a book but has writers block. Carole decides to visit Paris where she lived for a few years to see if she can get the answers to some questions and have a break. On her first day there on her way back to the hotel her taxi is going through a tunnel when there is a huge explosion and Carole is left unconscious and fighting for her life in hospital. She had no ID on her so it takes a few weeks to identify her...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. She re-calls his nineteen years, his battles throughout his life and at the end the death of her son. She describes a illness from which her son suffered and highlights the effect it had on him, and in doing so you get the feeling she wants other’s to discuss their problems as well. The best way to describe this book is that in writing about her son, she hopes to help other’s. He suffered from a mental illness, which cost him his life. ...I am a huge Harry Potter I watched the first film and from there I liked it so much I read the books. As much as I love the film I think you miss out on so much if you do not read the books as there is so much more detail in them that I think the film is lacking. ...Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, this is the first installment of the Harry Potter films of the great series by J K Rowling, I had watched this film and then decided to read the book, I then read the rest of the books before the films and I cannot believe the bits that are missed out there is so much more description in the books than the films.
