...and who is falling apart in front of her friends, and finally Olivia, the pot-smoking poor one of the group who's working as a maid. Her 3 friends are determined to find her love but Olivia isn't having much luck. Will the women remain friends through the ups and downs? I thought from the plot this might be a funny take on friendship and how the women cope with the vast sums of money they have and a bit of a funny story to do with Olivia as well but this just didn't happen. In facts, I don't actually recall even cracking a smile throughout this dire movie, it was so depressing and downbeat that it was making me feel pretty depressed as well. There were clearly moments that were supposed to be funny involving Olivia and her then-boyfriend but they just made me cringe and wince when I was watching it. I really can't tell you how terrible this...

Review of Friends With Money (DVD)

David Cook

Advantages: Current American Idol winner, a musician
Disadvantages: None

...at the song credits on his album too you will find that he has been involved in writing more of the tracks than not which also tells me that he is a credible artist and one that will probably stand the test of time. It's funny because at the start of the American Idol show he was not one of my favourites and I didn't think he would win but as the weeks got further and further I really started to like his voice which is quite different from anything out there and also his artistry and he really did become my frontrunner. Cook's album, the self titled David Cook was released on 18th November 2008 and has since gone platinum. It has now sold over 1 million copies in the United States. It was released in England on April 5 2009. I like the start of the CD more than the end but that might be because I've listened to the beginning more. Highlights...

Are You Elmer's New Friend?

Advantages: A bright, colourful book for young children. A lovely 'touch' on the last page!

...Elmer's new friend is?? Let's just say it really 'makes' the book special! ~ Illustrations ~ David McKee is a great illustrator and was in fact the illustrator for Paddington Bear books. As with all Elmer books, the colours are very rich and vibrant which really appeals to young children. Although very simple, there is still a lot of detail in the illustrations with the foliage depicting the environment that Elmer lives in. The really special part of the book is the mirror at the end. By looking in to this, the child reading the book is delighted to find out that they are Elmer's new friend. Even David Blaine couldn't make this train appear with just water

Advantages: No mess and good for when you are out and about.
Disadvantages: The lack of mess makes for a lack of fun.

...didn?t have the same ?magic? effect to it as the painting books, I didn?t find it anywhere near as much fun. The advantage that these mini mats has though is that they are reusable and once the water has dried the picture will fade so you can start all over again, seeing as the paper doesn?t get that wet in the first place it doesn?t take too long to dry. Even trying to fill the picture in myself it took some time and effort! Overall Tomy claim that these are going to be cost effective as they can be used over and over again saving you money in crayons and colouring books. Personally I think that children will soon become bored of just four pictures and they certainly don?t have the same feel as drawing with a crayon. Although I feel they were a bit of a letdown and they really didn?t get much use, I passed them onto a friend...

Then the animals ask Elmer about her new friend starting with her the giraffe, who asks if Elmer's new friend is taller than her, Elmer just replies by saying 'getting taller.' David Tua, Hard hitting

Advantages: Hits hard, brilliant chin

...David Tua, arguably one of the best current boxers never to have held a "proper" world title (WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO) and most certainly one of the most entertaining of the current crop of heavyweights (not saying much I admit). -*-Early days-*- Born Mafaufau Tavita Lio Mafaufau Sanerivi Talimatasi (according to wikipedia anyway) the man we know as David Tua was born in Samoa to a man and a woman (who'se names I do not know). With friends like Peter's . . .

Advantages: Easy watching, some good acting and great vocal performances
Disadvantages: Acting from some of the cast is a bit over-the-top

...This is one of those films that nobody else seems to have heard of and - up until a few years ago - neither had I. Indeed, I have my passion for 1980s pop music to thank for my knowledge that this film even exists. For reasons I don't even remember, I came across a website listing the lyrics to Tears For Fears' mid-eighties hit Everybody Wants To Rule The World and whichever page I viewed mentioned a variety of films, TV programmes and albums that the song featured in. One of these was Peter's Friends . . . so I admit it, I first watched this film because one of my favourite songs was part of the soundtrack! (I can sometimes be a bit more shallow than other people believe . . . actually there are quite a few 1970s/1980s songs in here, which I think suits the mood of the film.) ...far as Australia, Japan and Los Angeles. As you are reading, you do tend to get a little caught up in the 'thrill of the chase' and you find yourself willing him to find them all. There are some close moments when he literally only has a few hours before boarding a plane and he still hasn't found his friend. If you want to know whether he actually succeeds in his mission or not, you will have to read the book to find out! I thought that this was a great book to read although just in a couple of places near the beginning I did find my attention wavering a little. I suppose there was quite a lot of preamble before he really gets going with his search, but it is definitely worth persevering with.
