...With David Tennant having shown what he is capable of as the Doctor in his first two episodes, he jumps straight in as if it had been him all along in the following episodes. In fact, this is technically true of the character, as the Doctor is the same person with regeneration giving him a different outlook. The three episodes in this DVD have many 'in' jokes and moments that many might not get. I watched them with my wife, who has seen them all before and has just recently finished watching the end of the fourth series, and she mentioned a number of things that made later episodes make sense, so the whole series and the following ones all link to each other in subtle ways as well as story folloiwing story. ...This...... is the current American Idol Winner. David Cook is the American Idol that nearly never was. He actually was not initially going to try out for the television talent show, he was at the auditions to support his brother but, after some pushing from his brother, decided to audition too. A good decision, because he became the winner of the seventh season of American Idol in 2008. David Cook is classified as a Rock, singer-songwriter. His sound is definitely very rocky, but in my opinion quite soft rock. He has a very deep, raspy voice that lends itself very well to this type of music. What I really like about him is that he can actually play an instrument, unlike a lot of the new pop stars out there today who are just manufactured. ...I hate going to the Doctors', but there is one Doctor who broadens a smile across my face with just a glance. Yes, it's David Tennant, who plays the Doctor in BBC show Doctor Who, after just completing his third series. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Carry on Doctor!

Advantages: very durable and sturdy cardboard, high quality printing

...For my 19th Birthday, my friend always joked she would get me david tennant as she know what a huge fan i am of him and Dr Who! everyone who has ever met me knows immediately. What a suprise I got when I unwrapped my present to find a 6ft David Tennat cut-out unveiled it was the best present I could ever have asked for! Although my David is a little different to the original cut-outs. mine is of him stood slightl to the side in his gorgeous brown pin-striped suit. It took a while for me to figure ut how to stand him as the instructions weren't exactly helpful but it was easy in the end. My friend paid about £27 for him from Forbidden Plant in Manchester but it was well worth the money, very sturdy and durable cardboard and high quality printing to the last detail. the most fun Ive had is placing him around the house and in the dark ready...

Another Great Singer from American Idol (David Cook - David Cook)

Advantages: Great album from start to finish most of which David had a hand in writing

...I am a very big fan of the reality TV shows, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and most of all American Idol, I think these show are a great way of giving people the chance to make it. I think American Idol seems to produce some incredible talent, it seems each year they have that one person who you know is going to make it big, for example Kelly Clarkson (who I am a massive fan of) and now David Cook (winner of season seven in 2008). From the very first show I loved the sound of David Cooks voice, it just had a completely different sound from the other contestants and he made every song his own, he didn't seem bothered about how big a song was, he would change it to suit him, sometimes it didn't work but most the time it did and it was amazing. ...David Gray's first album 'White Ladder' was advertised on TV prior to release and the advert built it up in the same way Radioheads 'The Bends ' was touted as the best album ever. I first heard the album at a freinds and was taken by the strength of Gray's vocals in what is a melodic and soulful range of tracks. His distinctive style is like no other that I have heard and coming from a Metal/Thrash background, I was surprised that I liked this album so much. I would reccommend that everybody should listen to this this album and not just rate on the one song that has entered the charts....
