Dawn of War slaughters competition
Review of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Anthology (PC) by
ScarredShadow
Advantages: Addictive
Disadvantages: Some maps seem very similar to each other
...Dawn Of War will have you playing from dusk till dawn, that's for sure! The game is incredibly fun, with several different modes to choose from.
It's a fantastic bundle, great value, Dawn of War and Winter Assault on their own are fantastic but Dark Crusade really takes the games to a new level.
A real bonus for the game is that even on dial-up speed, the online multiplayer is still relatively accessible, with only minor lag. Even with minimum requirements met, this game is really playable and even looks great.
Watch out though, tackling campaign and multiplayer foes could suck up your day, it's just too darn fun to stop playing! It really is hard to find games like this, especially bundled together. Well worth the cash!...

The complete anthology of dawn of war!
Review of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Anthology (PC) by
m_lucas11
Advantages: Great games, great graphics and great gameplay.
Disadvantages: takes up alot of space when all are installed.
...The Dawn of war anthology consists of the complete Dawn of wars series that is Dawn of war, Dawn of war: winter assault and Dawn of war: dark crusade.
Dawn of war:
Dawn of War was voted 2005 game of the year and it is clear to see why. Dawn of War is a real time strategy that follows the same sorts of game play that the command and conquer games follow but from the point of view of the Warhammer 40,000 armies. The idea of building a base and then using each different type of building to create an army in order to crush the opposition is the main aim of the game. The campaign mode the player commands the Blood ravens chapter as they strive to win back control of a conquered imperial planet from the clutches for the Orks and the Chaos. In skirmish mode you can play as one of four teams, the space marines, chaos, Orks or Elder...

Wernam Hogg - Another to go down in History..
Review of The Office Series 1 (Wide Screen) by
PaulK89
Advantages: Comical, Realistic, Documentary-Style Comedy
Disadvantages: None
...BAFTA Winning Comedy. It says it all. David Brent (Ricky Gervais) is a pompous, arrogrant boss who actually thinks hes the funniest bloke in the world. This truely shows how much of a sad man David is, his aim is for everybody to like him.
The Office is all about a documentary on what happens in a Slough, paper-merchant office. It really does make you feel like this actually is an documentary - by the way it is filmed and how interviews are given to by the cast.
Tim (Martin Freeman) is a funny and popular bloke with the office, but has strong feels for one person in particular - Dawn (Lucy Davis). Dawn is currently seeing another man, and isnt aware of Tim's feelings for her. The man who Dawn is seeing is a tough, strong bloke and Dawn doesnt want to tell him she likes Tim and Tim doesnt want to tell Dawn he likes her so...

¤¤¤ From dust to dawn ¤¤¤
Review of Poems of Love by
salombo33
Advantages: ***
Disadvantages: ***
...There could be an angel, someday, to come and tell you some things and others. Among those things, a confession upon how beautiful he finds the word "dust". Some time after that, you come to realise that your own preference goes to the close "dusk". And you try to write some verses, hoping angels can read double meanings.
¤¤¤¤
We'll meet at the end of a cold,
Still and brown automn of gold,
We'll meet and let our feet walk
Side by side from dusk to dawn
We'll tease at the end of a warm,
Noisy and cosy café of your block
We'll tease and make our tongues talk
The language of love from dusk to dawn.
We'll leave at the end of maybe one
Hot but too short week of loves
I'll depart and let both of us alone
With promises ever purer than doves
In the dark, I'll remember our dawn
And long for you from dust to mawn....

An unfortunate co-incidence
Review of 10 Most Embarassing Moments by
cillablack
Advantages: made me a better person
Disadvantages: wrath
...of an attractive girl on his arm. So I offered to fix him up with a blind date.
I immediately thought of a sweet, cute and very pretty girl that I had met once via a friend. She was the right age, reliable, and was very attractive in her appearance and manner. Let's call her Dawn. I telephoned Dawn, and sold this chap to her over the phone. He was very goodlooking, but not very stimulating in the conversation department. I explained that in return for accompanying him, Dawn could expect a fabulous night out with no strings. I told her about how he was the MD's son etc.
Dawn was very interested in this proposition. So keen was she, that the next day she discussed the exciting event with her fellow colleagues at the Beauty College she attended 25 miles away in a neighbouring town.
The unfortunate coincidence, was that another girl...

TRAGEDY DAWNS . . . . .
Review of Dawn - Virginia Andrews by
frizzball
Advantages: Simple to follow
Disadvantages: Could be depressing.
...Virginia Andrews was a late starter as a novelist, only publishing her first novel, ‘flowers in the attic’, in 1979, seven years before she died. However, in those few years of publishing Andrews managed to add forty novels to her list of achievements, which to me is a great deal to be proud of.
The reason I bring this up is to explain that the novel I am about to review is not actually written by Virginia Andrews, but by ‘The Andrews Family’, who carried on her work after she died. The family have taken her preliminary ideas and, using another writer, turned them into the novels that she had destined them for.
*DAWN*
Dawn is the first in a series of novels following the life of Dawn Longchamp, a fourteen-year-old girl who for as long as she can remember has had to move from one place to the next every few months with her family; her ma...

Go Away Wiener Dog
Review of Welcome To The Dollhouse DVD by
sghawken
Advantages: Twisted addictive comedy
Disadvantages: Subjects may put some viewers off
...Todd Solondz first movie is a twisted tale of small town life through the eyes of an unpopular 12 year old girl. Welcome To The Dollhouse is rather hysterical, but in a manner that most might find disturbing when hearing about the subject matter; Solondz takes issues that we should not laugh about and makes them funny. In fact if Solondz had made this film five years earlier the movie probably would have been banned and he would have been outlawed. Through excellent craftsmanship this movie is made more acceptable, but there still is the ability to shock.
For the Wiener family only one child is truly accepted; Missy Wiener is the youngest child, and the only really loved child of Mr and Mrs Wiener. There other two children Mark and Dawn are more of a disappointment. Mark is a typical nerd child who loves computers and is trying to form...

Another Series of the same...
Review of Dawn - Virginia Andrews by
Romey
Advantages: Good entertainment value, keeps you occupied
Disadvantages: Too similair to the rest
...Virginia Andrews was born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1924, she was one of three children and had a happy childhood. Then when we was 15 tragedy struck when she accidentally fell down the stairs and ended up spending the rest of her life in a wheelchair. Though this disability did not stop her career wise—she was originally a fashion illustrator and commercial artist before deciding to become a novelist – Virginia did not ever marry or have children.
Sadly she died from cancer on December 19, 1986, though in her later years she had started an ‘ideas notebook’ so after her death her family carefully selected a ghostwriter to complete her works.
Dawn is the first book in the Cutler Series – Dawn, the teenage daughter of the Longchamps lives with her older brother Jimmy and her parents, it seems her father is a loving but very short...

The Dawnmighster Chronicles
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Dawn DVD by
HarleyDroadtrip
Advantages: A blend of seasons 5, 6 + 7
Disadvantages: You want to see the next episode.
...Now, I'll get this straight form the start, Dawn is not one of my favourite characters but she has fitted surprisingly well with the rest of the cast.
If you haven't watched any of season 5, 6 or 7 you probably won't have a clue who Dawn is and are thinking why hasn't she been mentioned before?. "Blood Ties" will explain all; I don't want to spoil it. Let's just say she's young for her 14 years.
Season 5, "Real Me" has a cool start as Buffy is performing a one handed handstand of a block, Zen like and mystic. The episode goes on to show how Dawn feels misunderstood and overshadowed by Super powered sister and how Buffy herself feels burdened by her.
In amongst the sister act Harmony (shallow cheerleader turned air head vampire the gang went to high school with) and her crew, plan to take out Buffy…
Spike: "Singing my song now...

Dawn French makes this what it is, pure magic
Review of BBC1 - The Vicar of Dibley by
jaffacakemonster
Advantages: Very funny, even the re-runs are welcome
Disadvantages: I think they've stopped making any more
...The Vicar of Dibley is one of the BBC's best comedies in my opinion, and has always attracted millions of viewers during the 3 serie's that it's been running on BBC ONE and TWO. It stars Dawn French as the female Vicar in a small rural town of Dibley, where she plays Vicar Geraldine. Other stars include her dim-witted "simple" friend Alice (Emma Chambers), and other members of the Parish including Hugo, David and Owen (Trigger out of Only Fools and Horses).
Every episode is guaranteed to have laughs, with disaster-prone events like the Village Fair taking place. Dawn French's performance is fantastic, if you've enjoyed her comedy in French and Saunders then you'll love the Vicar of Dibley.
The acting and performances from all the cast are brilliant... The Vicar of Dibley ranks right up there with Only Fools and Horses...
