Two Days at the Days Inn

...My friend and I stayed at the Days Inn in Niagara for two nights in May at the start of our tour round Eastern Canada. We?d booked this as part of our Globespan holiday so I don?t know how efficient the booking process was. The hotel was three star and we certainly didn?t pay over the odds for our stay, although I don?t know exactly how much we paid. Arrival We arrived at the Days Inn at around 3am Canada time, or 8am according to our body clocks! We breathed a sigh of relief as our bus finally pulled up outside the hotel (our flight had been delayed quite a bit so neither of us was in the best of form by this stage!). I?d heard great things about the friendliness of the Canadian race from friends who had been to Canada before so was expecting a nice warm welcome from the hotel staff ? you?d expect those in the hospitality...

California dreamin' at Days Inn

Advantages: Well located; reasonably priced rooms; large beds
Disadvantages: Not much in the way of hotel facilities

We came to choose this motel because it ticked all our boxes. It also had a choice of room sizes, from suites to what they call single kingsized bedrooms. ~ The location ~ The Days Inn Santa Monica is situated on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Stanford Street, with the pedestrian entrance being in the Boulevard. If like us, you're driving here, you have to drive past the motel and turn into Stanford Street and then make a right into the motel car park. ...Like all other chain motels Days Inn doesn't really differ much. Me and my other half stayed at thi specific one whilst on the way to see a friend a it was quite a long distance away. It is situated in a convinient location at the services on the M1. The staff were polite and helpfull telling is the prices of breakfast and what times to be out on your last day. The room was clean with an on-suite bathroom with a bath/shower, sink and toilet. There was also basic soap available and a sign saying if you needed more toiletarys they would be available from reception some such as razors and toothbrushes would cost. It was heated well with a controllable electric fire so you could set the tempreture yourself, tea and coffee making facilities were available with hot chocolate and biscuits there too. Advantages: inexpensive, easy to find, same standard everywhere, good standard of comfort

...I had to go to Bristol a few days ago and tried to get a hotel booking at short notice-hoping to go on the train. If I drive, it takes ma a good 4 hours on the motorway and you can't really relax like you can on the train. Anyway, there were no hotels available at a reasonable price so I decided that I had to drive. The next issue was where to stay if I did. The M5 has several service stations and I had stayed at Michaelwood services previously. I hadn't tried Gordano, so I logged onto the Laterooms website and looked at the rooms available- success! ...When people stay at a lodging, they have certain expectations. Cleanliness and good condition of the property are usually tops on the list, no matter how low the rate is. Unfortunately, my visit at the Lake Buena Vista location of the Days Inn was too brief to either strengthen or dash my first impressions, but there is no reason why management should expose any guest to neglect of its property. Once someone pays for professional hospitality, a reasonable standard should be maintained. An alternative to Premier Inn & Travelodge

Advantages: Location, booking in, rewards, dog friendly
Disadvantages: Basic, no restaurant next door

...We are spoiled for choice these days for budget priced accommodation in the UK, the market leaders appear to be Premier Inn (formerly Travel Inn) & Travelodge. Between the two of them they cover most of the populated areas of the country & provide in general a decent level of service. I have since found another chain that competes directly with Premier Inn & Travelodge who have the advantage as they will also accommodate dogs. Those of you have travelled throughout the USA will recognise the name, Days Inn; in the UK they have 35 hotels plus nine more in Ireland. I have used Days Inn quite a few times but earlier this year we had to travel to Huntingdon & collected our rescue dog on the way back. Days Inn or Hotel depending where you look!

...After being invited to a party in Yorkshire, we had the joy of finding a hotel that was close to where the party was being held. After a 20minute search on expedia we came across the Days Inn (Called the Days Inn on here and on Expedia but its actually called the Days Hotel). --Location-- The hotel is a 2 minute drive from junction 40 the M1 motorway. Once you come off the motorway, follow the A638 towards Wakefield and turn left at the first lights. The hotel is on the right. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from Leeds city centre and 2 miles from the centre of Wakefield. Better Out, Than Inn

Disadvantages: Awkward location and difficult to navigate building.

The Days Inn, Westminster consists of what originally used to be three hotels. Days Inn Hotels usually consist of large purpose built accommodation, however here was not the case and the chain appear to have settled for what they could get rather than what was needed. Premier Inn, Charing Cross Glasgow

...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home. The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice. Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...
