Dyson DC04- My Little Loyal Friend

Advantages: Very Reliable
Disadvantages: A little heavy to lug around

...I've had my Dyson DC04 for almost four years now. And so far it's been very loyal and served me well. I only hope it doesn't break down as soon as I finish this review- that's what I usually find happens when you start bragging about your gadgets! Anyway back to what I was saying, in the entire time i've owned my vacuum, I can only remember two occasions when I experienced a slight glitch with it. Both times it was my use-less hubby's fault and could of been easily avoided. The first time was when he vacuumed over a some sharp matter on the floor that snapped the belt. This I simply solved by replacing it with another belt that I bought for three pounds from a local DIY store. I must however mention that although I fitted the belt in very easily by following the instructions in the dyson manual, not everyone may be capable...

DYSON DC04 - SUCK ME BEAUTIFUL

Advantages: Brilliant results everytime you use it
Disadvantages: Clipping the bin may find hard at first

Advantages: Awesome when it works and now excellent value

...This is a chronology of events from when we originally purchased our Dysone DC04. September 2000 We have just purchased a Dyson DC04 from intersaver.co.uk , the buying process was excellent and I have already written an Opinion accordingly in this regard. October 2nd However , after only 3 weeks the Dyson has broken down. So far it has taken 4 calls to the service line to actually get through to someone who said they needed the serial number as proof of ownership. As we phoned from work , we were unable to get immediate access. October 4th Now that we have this information , we have been unable to get through again to Dyson serviceline. Dyson DC04 saves life

Advantages: Efficient dust collector
Disadvantages: flimsy in parts

...the Dyson DC04 has enabled me to be around when the vacuuming is done and means that I can do it now too! Or perhaps that's a bad thing - bring back the VAX! I should explain - three years ago I was diagnosed with asthma after desperately trying to shake what appearing to be a lingering cough (almost 12 months). And (shouldn't start sentences with a conjunction!) house dust was a factor in setting off a coughing fit. We, rather ignorantly, thought that out vax wet/dry vacuum cleaner (1200 watts) was doing a good job until we purchased the DC04 some 15 months ago. Dyson DC04i Upright

Advantages: Great suction, long hose that is quick to use
Disadvantages: tools fall of hoover

...I bought this version to replace my DC01 upright, the version I have is silver,blue and purple.These hoovers are great for people with pets.Any other hoover I have tried just doesn't pick up the hairs as well.On the my previous Dyson the long nozzle tool slotted onto the bottom of the hoover, now it's pushed into the back, but it often pops out which is annoying. The other attachments sit on top of the bin, but they also fall of when emtying the bin. Dyson's come with a 2 year guarantee and spare parts can be purchased from Dyson themselves. The filters are now lifetime,and are can be washed, which saves money. The hose will reach to the top of an average staircase which saves trying to haul the hoover behind you when hoovering. There is also an additional tool to purchase via Dyson called a minibrush for hoovering stairs. Nice long...

dyson dc24 not as good as i would have thought

Advantages: small, good for small spaces, easy to store
Disadvantages: suction not up to par

...I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one. Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but i prefer an upright and when i tried to vacuum my rugs with the miele, i decided an upright would be the less physically demanding cleaner for me, which is always important to a busy mum and housewife. I searched the net and found one on cdiscount for £179.99 which was on offer at the time, so i went ahead and bought it and looked forward to receiving it. I chose this one instead of the dc24 as i have a lot of stairs in my house and the smaller size appealled to me as not being as heavy as a larger one, would be easier to take around...

Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

Each DC-14 is colour coded to the special facilities it offers. I have the steel gray and purple version, which has the Hepa filter, extra pet hair mini turbine head, adjustable brush for carpets and tiles plus the standard tools. The only thing I would swap it for would be a maid

Advantages: The suction is out of this world!
Disadvantages: none that I can think of.

The one I wanted was the DC04 Absolute. It cost us £229 which was quite good as it should have cost around £259 but the salesman cut the price as I'd seen it on the internet for £199, but as my husband wanted to buy it locally, we all agreed on this price. My husband was stunned at having to spend so much on a vacuum cleaner that he had to have a long drink that evening to recover!
