...Dyson DC20 Animal Stowaway Pro : This Vacuum cleaner is 'THE BEST' I have ever used/owned. It beats the Kirby every time, cost wise, It out performs every other vacuum I have ever tried, as a Decorator I operate many clients vac's, none come close to the Dyson for efficient dust and paper collection. The brush floor tool is absolutely brilliant, whether you have pets or not.. just get one... it cleans right to the very edge of the carpet... no more dusty lines. The picture doesnt lie, it folds away exactly like that so its unobtrusive. All the tools are attatched to the vac, in easy reach.. not shoved in a cupboard, just press a button to disconnect the cleaning head, slip on the attatchment and hey presto... nuf sed! Dyson DC20, First Impressions Fabulous.

Advantages: Highly effective, good range of tools, quiet.
Disadvantages: Can't store on end.

...First impressions are Fabulous. We have 3 cats and anywhere up to 5 children running around the house (wide is a childminder) so there is mess, but we do try to keep the carpets clean. As such we vacuum frequently and I was impressed with the upright Hoover we had - until the wheel fell off. I had always thought of dysons being overpriced and overhyped. I picked this up for £160 along with a free set of Dyson tools, so that took care of the cost problem. However, having now used the DC20 I would pay around £210 for it. Out of the box it felt like a good quality piece of kit. Has a decent volume container for the dirt (unlike many other cleaners of similar dimensions) and most of the tools fit on the cleaner easily and firmly. Additional tools that are included must be stored seperately, but this is not a problem as there is...

Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

Dyson DC-14

Advantages: upright, powerful, easy to use, good tool storage
Disadvantages: no cord rewind, awkward hose for stairs, bulky

...I bought the Dyson, as I wanted a vacuum cleaner, which was capable of coping with cat hair removal and also had a high filtration level for asthma sufferers. Each DC-14 is colour coded to the special facilities it offers. I have the steel gray and purple version, which has the Hepa filter, extra pet hair mini turbine head, adjustable brush for carpets and tiles plus the standard tools. The standard model is yellow and gray, and does not have the adjustable brush. It is suitable only for carpets, not for tiles. GOOD POINTS For standard use, it is very effective on carpets, and it is shocking at first on how much dirt has been picked up. It does perform much better than my old vacuum cleaner. Sigma EX 10-20mm f4-f5.6 DC HSM

Advantages: Good quality results. Good build. Compact. Price.
Disadvantages: Distortion with architecture and interior shots.

...I have owned two of these lenses. One (the first) for my Nikon DSLR (since disposed of) and the second for my Canon APS-C sensor DSLR. Both lenses exhibited near identical characteristics and qualities which does at least imply consistency. This lens covers the useful range of 15-30mm on a APS-C Nikon, 16-32mm on a APS-C Canon and 17-34mm on a Sigma DSLR - not quite the classic 16-35mm range but near enough nonetheless and, a valuable and versatile addition to anyone's APS-C based kit. This of course is a Sigma DC lens and as such, is suitable only for the APS-C sized cropped sensor DSLR's. It cannot be used on full-frame or 35mm cameras. Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable.
Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.

...The Dyson DC25 all Floors vacuum cleaner is a revolution in houshold cleaning. Not only is very good at picking up small pieces of dust and dirt,but the filters are washable which makes it cheaper than some other types of cleaners. I love the way it manoevers around furniture and as it has a small and low head it can get under the edges of furniture as well as under my radiators. Something my old Dyson couldn't do. It's very light weight, weighing only 7.5kg so it makes hoovering upstairs that much easier. The only draw back of this weight is that when you are using the extension hose to clean furniture, curtains or to get behind things, i found that if stretched to it;s limit the machine would move around and has caught me in the ankles several times. Dyson DC25 Animal - Having A Ball!

Advantages: Large collecting bin and great suction!
Disadvantages: Not so Lightweight, and Power Cord could be longer.

Review of General: Washington DC

Animal by name and nature but it is domesticated

Advantages: very compact, cleans excellently, superb on dog hair, quiet , lifetime filters
Disadvantages: long hair gets tangled in the revolving brush like most vacuums
