A TIGER'S DEN IS ALWAYS HOT
Review of Delonghi HVE 134 by Tiger_Eyes

Advantages: heats quickly, lightweight, and aesthetically pleasing
Disadvantages: can make the room feel 'dry'.... as most fan heaters do.

...The central heating in Tiger’s Lair has been acting up for some time now - so much so that the radiator in my den (aka the ’mane’ bedroom) completely conked out last winter! While the imminent arrival of a nice (!?) man from British Gas to come and work his magic (i.e. update/replace our current central heating system) is pending, I took steps to keep warm at night by investing in a fan heater, courtesy of Argos! The choices for heater purchases are varied. Did you know you could opt for an oil-filled radiator, a convector heater or a fan heater? The first two are considerably larger and probably better suited to heating a very large space, but the handy-sized (lightweight/durable) fan heater by DeLonghi had better qualities for a cosy den like mine (and at £13.95 it IS worth it, believe me!)… This baby bounced off of the catalogue... Warm at last!
Review of Delonghi KH 770920 M by kelr101

Advantages: Thermostat, regulated temperature, quick heat, good price
Disadvantages: No timer, not suitable for small rooms

...When we purchased our flat in May 2006, it was the middle of summer, and hence the flat, which received direct sunlight for ¾ of the day, was very warm. However as the months passed, and the summer warmth faded we found ourselves resorting to the panel heaters installed in the flat. These panel heaters weren't very reliable and produced limited heat, mainly within a 2 metre span from the heat source, not very useful when you're trying to heat a large bedroom and living room. Having browsed through the Argos catalogue for an alternative heat supply, we decided on purchasing a Delonghi Oil Filled Radiator, currently available for £44.99. The Delonghi brand name is synonymous style, living innovation and successful products, so we were perfectly happy to choose this brand over another. The radiator we chose has the following key features... Read review

Maybe a must for this winter.
Review of Delonghi TRD 0820 by dingoo

Advantages: clean, quiet, and quite cheap, small modern design
Disadvantages: none if your cold

.... In the same shop a week later all I could get was the less popular oil filled on I am writing about here. In essence I urge you to be prepared, even if it is a false alarm and it is a mild winter it is better to be safe then sorry, Think of the elderly how stuck would they be without electricity, I know my Gran depends on it, al day long for cooking and heating. Plus it is bound to get worse in the future as nuclear power goes of line and demand goes up for electricity and north see gas runs out and the prices shoot up because we have to import more and more then we do now. So back to the details I purchased a DeLonghi TRD0820T Dragon Range Oil Filled Timer Radiator 2Kw. DeLonghi is a good brand and it cost £ 80 from a local independent high street retailer. It has 2kW of power, which is more, then enough to heat a medium sized room... Read review

The sexy chrome kettle in need of some Viagra
Review of Delonghi Argento 1.7 Litre Jug Kettle by WormThatTurned

Advantages: Stylish, sexy, contemporary
Disadvantages: No stamina, lacks performance, expensive.

...I bought one of these stylish, sleek kettles back in the year 2000 when I moved into my new house. If this kettle was a person it would be a sex god with it's posh, come turn me on look and at first, all seemed well - it looked great and visitors always commented on how nice it was but looks can be decieving. Along with a lot of things in life, the best looking option isn't always the best option !! You can't knock DeLonghi for their contemporary design or stylish range of kitchen products - trouble is the performance can't match up. First of all, the two pilot lights just fell out. Other problems I had were the top not going on properly, the kettle switching itself off before it had boiled (premature brewing) and finally the fact it kept blowing fuses. The kettle ceased to exist when it exploded for some inexplexible reason - I assume... Read review

Delonghi Four slice - Nice but lacks colour!!!
Review of Delonghi CT04G by Shar412

Advantages: Reliable mechanically, looks good, thickness variation good
Disadvantages: Toasting ability

...I bought this toaster last year following the re-decoration of my kitchen, so I wanted to go with the traditional old fashioned cream theme and this toaster fitted the criteria perfectly (looks wise). The Delonghi toasters are a very well known stylish brand, they look good and come in either two or four slot versions, mine is the four slot toaster. Well things started off well and bless its little cotton socks it has never let me down mechanically, even after the barrage of knives forks etc.. that have been poked into it to get crumpets and the such like out (yes I know you shouldn't do it but we all do) but the same cannot be said for how well it actually toasts my bread. There are two dials on the side of the toaster on the four slot to enable you to alter the browness of your toast, but I must say that these are absolutely useless... Read review

Bring The Heat With Delonghi
Review of Delonghi HTN2033 by Surj1

Advantages: Compact Design, 2 Heat Settings, Normal Cool Air Fan & Safety Feature
Disadvantages: None

...The Delonghi HTN 2033 is an electric fan heater, I usually keep this in the garage for those cold evenings when im trainig. The heater has power of 3kw and can also be used for the summer as the heater function can be turned off so the unit acts as a cool air fan. The heater has 2 heat settings one mild the other full heat and has a auto switch of function via a thermostat for safety purposes. So if the unit is accidentally covered the heater will automatically switch off. The main features of the heater are listed below: - 3kw heat output - 2 heat settings - Thermostat - Cool air facility - Frost protection - Overheat protection The Delonghi HTN 2033 is a compact heater and can be placed neatly anywhere. The front is slightly raised for a good level of heat of air to be expelled. The 2 switches it has are on/off and heat... Read review

Come snuggle up! I'm warm as toast!
Review of Delonghi HVE 134 by ashmead

Advantages: Warmth on command
Disadvantages: Can dry the air somewhat

...are at the top of the unit and far enough away from the fan itself so as not to get too heated! There are two heat settings and a variable thermostat. I usually begin with a good full blast and reduce to lower heat after about 5 minutes. The fast speed is somewhat noisy, but the slower speed chugs along at a comforting buzz and is not overly intrusive. My only complaint would be that on full power the heat can make the air rather dry and I try to make sure that I turn the heater down to background buzz before the room feels more than gently warm! Which reminds me, there is a safety overheat cut out - utterly invaluable for dumbos like me who are likely to trundle off to make a cup of tea (or hit the coke cupboard!) and forget all about it! Brand? Delonghi describe themselves as Living Innovation. They make a range of heating products, all of which... Read review

you'll have someone's eye out with those nipples
Review of Delonghi Dragon Oil Heater by melee679

Advantages: um...
Disadvantages: electricity bills. still cold.

...It's so lovely to have high ceilings, bare floorboards, two wide fireplaces, and original Victorian glass garden doors in our living room. In the summer these things are delightful. In the winter the room is riddled with icy drafts coming down the chimney, up the floor from the cellar, and in through the gaps in the beautiful doors. As the colder months march relentlessly on, the four of us have been huddled together for warmth on the sofa, covered in blankets and spare duvets. Guests who had to sleep in here woke up blue. There have been moments of frost bite induced madness where I'd happily box the empty fireplace in, doubleglaze the windows and put down about three layers of carpet. Sod the architectual glory of the moulded ceiling, put a nice heat trapping falsey in. Instead we got a fifth housemate: a Delonghi Dragon heater... Read review

Cleaner chips!
Review of Delonghi EasyClean Fat Fryer by martyn4764

Advantages: Easy clean system
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest

...We bought our first deep fat fryer about four years ago, and it ended up in a cupboard about three years ago. The good thing about these is that they cut down on smell & fumes, but they can be VERY difficult to clean! Those decorative grooves might catch your eye in the shop, but wait until you have to clean the thing. The DeLonghi EasyClean (model number varies according to what colour you choose, where you buy it, etc) is an excellent exception. Not only is the exterior smooth and free of unnecessary crevices, but it also has a unique system, consisting of a small rubber hose built into the base. Just flip out the hose, turn the tap and the oil will empty into your container; then wash it & rinse it, again using the hose to drain. That may not sound very exciting, but if you have used other brands you'll know what I'm talking about... Read review
