Anyone want some chips...?
Review of Tefal FA700415 Family Oleoclean Fryer by shaheena

Advantages: Very easy to clean
Disadvantages: temperatures go abit funny....?

...this product is because It also has a small minute resolution timer right on the machine which is a great thing, you can put in the food, and walk away for a minute, and come back when the timer goes off. The negative side of the deep fat fryer is that it doesn't always reach the temperature that it supposes to reach. So when you’re cooking your frozen food at 190 degrees C it would shut off and the oil will cool down sometimes, which delays the cooking time which isn’t great and can be a pain. Since it was a wedding present I didn’t know how much it cost, but I did some research on it and found some useful facts about the Tefal FA700415 Family Oleoclean Fryer which are: Family 1kg food capacity and 2.2L oil capacity – This is a food size, enough to cook for loads of people in one go. * Cordless design – tie up loose wire, which I good... Come Fry With Me
Review of Cordon Bleu Stainless Steel Deep Fat Fryer by LILL07

Advantages: Heats up quickly
Disadvantages: None

...Recently i seem to have had a bit of bad luck where it comes to my household appliances, first it was the cooker which i have had for 8 years it decided not to cook anymore, then the washing machine broke then my lovely other half decided he wanted fried chips instead of our normal oven chips and when he switched our deep fat fryer on it blew all the sockets in the house giving us no electric for a while. So to say the least i have had a bit of an appliance nightmare but all would be saved by my lovely mum well chips would anyway she bought me a brand spanking new deep fat fryer. I'm not the sort of person that is bothered if all my kitchen paraphernalia matches so when my mum walked in with a stainless steel deep fat fryer i was more then happy to except her gift. The Deep fat fryer comes in quite a large standard box which is blue... Read review

Rotofry didn't try.
Review of Delonghi Rotofryer Fat Fryer by Lesue

Advantages: Looks good and is very easy to clean. Timer is very useful too.
Disadvantages: Cannot cook chips. It maybe able to cook frozen chips well but I don't know 'cos I only like homemade ones.

...I bought a Delonghi Rotofryer because I thought it would be better than all the other deep fat fryers out there because it did something different, it gave my chips a ride. It was rather expensive, I thought, at £85 but what the heck, I love chips (light and crispy homemade ones that is). It had a nice silvery-grey finish which was easy to wipe down and keep clean. The model also had a timer which you activate by pressing a small button. The minutes could be seen, quite clearly, in a LED display. Once the time for frying was up the timer would beep loud and clear - very handy if you are liable to get carried away on a long phone conversation. In the lid, of the fryer, was an oval shaped window through which you could watch the thrilling action inside, once the condensation has cleared somewhat. At the rear of the fryer was a compartment... Read review

its frying time
Review of Bush FC028 by sha-olga

Advantages: cheap,good looking
Disadvantages: none

...This deep fat fryer is a good all rounder, it is a good looker,is easy to clean, and is big enough to cook for all five of us in one load. I paid £28.99 for this deep fat fryer and as I have to admit that I tend to get a new one every other year because they get that disgustingly greasy that I tend to chuck them away. That is why I try to buy cheap ones and I think this one fits in to that catagory nicely. This comes in five peices, the main body, the lid, the control assembly and element ,and the bowl for the oil,and basket(for the food to be placed in). Assembling: Place the main body on a flat and secure surface away from anything flammable leaving about 2 inches all around the fryer.place into that the bowl for oil,Then put in the control assembly which Just slots in and is simple to do ,add the hinged lid,and put your basket... Anyone for chips :-)
Review of Cooks Kitchen Auction by sminshulls

Advantages: Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: None, so far.

...I bought this fryer because I loved the idea of been able to take it apart to clean it. After many years of struggling to keep a traditional deep fat fryer clean I couldn't wait to test drive this one. I wasn't disappointed, after removing the power section, the oil tray comes out and the basket, lid, oil tray and wall of fryer can be washed in soapy water. The only drawback is trying to keep the power supply part clean but the rest looks as good as new. For safety reasons. of course, washing the power supply part is not advisable, although wiping with a cloth removes any dust but not all the grease stains. As for operating the fryer, this is very easy. There are a number of temperature settings with icons to show which foods (chips, fish, chicken, etc) require which temperature. Thermostat control prevents fryer from getting too... Read review

Cool touch Rotofryer! use half the oil!
Review of Delonghi F18316S by Frenchyanj

Advantages: half the oil because of rotation, drain hose pipe, good food capacity
Disadvantages: slow warm up

...burnt is not an issue with this fryer because of its cool touch body, the external control basket and non-slip feet. So it is quite safe. Another function i like is the timer because you can detach it from the fryer and take it with you wherever you go - so you are sure not to burn the food! Good food capacity esp for a family - can fry chips for up to four people in one go! Cleaning: With most mod- cons cleaning is the hardest part. For this deep fat fryer it is no different. the drain hose for the oil does make it easier to clean than the traditional fryers and it also comes with a tub for the oil with a filter to clean the oil. The non-stick bowl again is very good because there is no scrubbing involved when it comes to the bowl - the hardest part to clean is the lid. when frying the lid becomes sticky and oily and needs... try the Chip shop instead
Review of Moulinex ACZ1P1 by Tracy57

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: Greasy, Smelly, Horrible chips

...My opinion on deep fat fryers is do not buy one. if you do eat chips which you should not do too often is use a chip pan or better still make it a treat and go to the chip shop as they are far nicer than anything that ever came out of my moulinex deep fat fryer. Even thought I changed the filters I could stil smell the chips cooking and the steam made too much condensation in my kitchen. It was very hard to clean. in the end I used to get an extension lead and cook the chips outside and that is were the deep fat fryer stayed until i decided that chips are not that good for me and if i really did want them The chip shops are the best so the dep fat fryer was put in the bin and I have never regretted tto this day. One more point to add I also found that grease collected on the area arround the dep fat fryer ie small spots on the wall... Read review

CHIPS AND BITS
Review of Delonghi Rotofryer Fat Fryer by linda01865

Advantages: cooks well, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Hinge drops out constantly and does not fit very well

...My daughter purchased my deep fat fryer as a birthday present for me earlier in the year. The fryer is an easy clean variety with a pull out hose for the emptying of the dirty oil/fat. The fryer has an inspection window fitted into the lid and the lid is hinged with like a bit of plasic to hold it on. This became my problem. It was forever falling out into the cooking. Eventually it dissolved in with the chips one day. Needless to say the food was thrown away and oil dissposed of. Back to the details of the fryer. The sliding thermostat control function is handy for setting and the basket is a fair size but does often stick and not catch when it rises from cooking. At the back of the fryer it has a cable compartment,to store the lead cable and plug. This model also comes complete with a recipe book (small). The booklet is written... Read review

Fry or Frazzle.
Review of Breville Cool Wall Deep Fat Fryer by spottydog2

Advantages: Quite nice chips, can cook from frozen.
Disadvantages: Oil still needs changing.

...and plastic looking, with a well fitting lid. There are small diagrams of chips, chicken, mushrooms etc on the from with the cooking times on them, indicating whether from frozen or not. The good thing about this is that food can be cooked from frozen. The Breville Cool Wall Deep Fat Fryer, as the name suggests, has a `cool wall`. This is the outside of the fryer that is suposed to remain cool while the inside is scalding hot. There is a basket that is easy to lower and lift out. The handle is not attached, so there is no risk of it getting too hot. It fits on easily and detaches equally as easily. The lid remains tight when cooking. Prior to cooking the fat takes about 5 minutes to warm up, the light will go out when it is warm enough. Whilst there are suggested times on the fryer, there is no timer, so it is up to the person using... Read review

Makes lovely chips
Review of Delonghi F890 Coolwall Fat Fryer by RuthJean

Advantages: Very easy to clean and economical with the oli
Disadvantages: No timer

...... By the way, this fryer does not have a timer (apparently the next model up does) but I don't really think that is a problem. Most people have kitchen timers or just cook the food the way that they like it.... Read review
