...Delays are one of the more exciting of the new crop of bands to have emerged in the last few years.This album,released in 2003 is the band's debut.The main draw is vocalist Greg Gilbert's stunning falsetto which has a truly ethereal quality.However, you also sense that sometimes the band rely on his voice to try to cover up occasionally uninspiring songwriting. Behringer DD400 Digital Delay , I hope you will 'Echo' my view

Advantages: Good value for money good range of effects.
Disadvantages: The plastic case seems to be not very robust, but is is quite solid

...Back in the old days, when i was a teenage rock star and had a full head of hair, the effect known today as 'Delay' was called 'Echo' and was achieved by using a strange looking device known as a Watkins Copycat. This was a small suitcase containing a simple five headed tape player and an eighteen inch loop of old fashioned recording tape. The idea was that you plugged in the guitar to the box and plugged the box into the amplifier. The first tape head recorded the sound onto the tape and the other heads played the sound back as the tape moved past them. You could choose which heads to play back and how fast to run the tape. Think of the title music to the original Dr. Who series and that was how a single sound came out of a Watkins copycat. Boots Time Delay Cleansing Wipes

Advantages: Gentle on your face, easy to use, moisturise your skin
Disadvantages: Tend to dry out if you don't use them quickly!

...them in the mornings and the evenings and the packet says that they are dermatologically proven to be kind to skin. Once the packet is opened though, I find that, even though there is a plastic closing for sealing the pack again, the wipes dried out quite quickly. Once they are opened they are to be used within three months, but in my opinion they only last about a month and a half before they start drying out. They are single use wipes, so they are very simple to use and then you can just throw them away (not very environmentally friendly, of course!) They save a lot of time when you are in a hurry, instead of washing you face with a cleanser you can just wipe this over your face and neck. I would recommend these. Review of Boots Time Delay Cleansing Wipes

A very flexible delay pedal

Advantages: Wide range of delays, easy of use
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive

...The Boss PS-3 pedal is a delay and pitch shifter combined into one compact pedal. I purchased my PS-3 about 2 years ago and paid £149 for it. This is quite pricey for a single effect pedal, but the quality and flexibility of the pedal makes up for this. Construction As with all Boss compact pedals the unit is a sturdy all metal construction which is built to take plenty of knocks. A slip proof rubber mat is attached to the bottom of the pedal to stop it from sliding around on slippery floors! There is a large switch on top of the pedal to switch the effect on and off. The pedal can be powered by a 9 volt battery, or by an external 9 volt power supply. The controls are mounted on the top of the pedal and these consist of, Balance, Feedback, Delay Time and Mode. ...'s (better know for "There She Goes") and other indidualistic bands, and have already toured with The Coral, The Thrills, Sleepy Jackson and McAlmont & Butler and gained some credit with a brief mention in brilliantly British film, Blackball...! This DVD is free with the album, for free samples of tracks visit http://www.thedelays.co.uk ... On loading (which should occur automatically if you have DVD software on your PC and will in a DVD player, if not go into Windows Media player and select toplay if from the menus...) you have a nice sample sound which is not on the album, and you are presented with a design very similar to that of the album cover, with the boats animated on this however. Getting the 'Write' start!

Advantages: fun and educational
Disadvantages: none

...My four and a half year old daughter is just at that age where she is starting to be fascinated by writing. She can now write her own name and a few important words like 'mummy' and 'daddy'! Most of all though, she just loves to 'write' her own stories which can go on for pages and pages. For people who don't know any better, they might just think these are just squiggles on the page but don't be fooled for a minute! As far as my daughter is concerned this is real writing! For Christmas she was given a writestart kit which is actually going to help her with the mechanics of writing and should hopefully help her a lot when she starts school after Easter. ...The Manic Street Preachers greatest hits album, Forever Delayed was released in 2002. It contains 20 tracks from their long and illustrious history, including 2 number ones and countless top ten singles. The album contains all the key moments that a fan would expect : A Design For Life, If you tolerate this, Australia, Motorcycle Emptiness, You Love Us, and Everything Must Go. Every song included on here has been released as a single (with the exception of Door To The River, the token new song', and 'There by the Grace Of God', which was subsequently released. The only problem with the album is that I feel the record company may have had more of a say in the tracklisting than the manics. They have included some of the lower points of their career in 'So Why So Sad' and 'The Everlasting' - good songs, but not ones they exactly...

Delays You See Colours

Advantages: Brilliant collection of signature Delays falsetto pop anthems
Disadvantages: Doesn't compare to seeing them live

...The Delays emerged out of Southampton in 2003 bringing with them a unique collection of electronic falsetto pop anthems. The first thing you notice about this fabulous band is the vocals dished out by Greg Gilbert; how he manages to achieve the constant highs is something we can all make assumptions over but really we will never know. They are somewhat of an oddball band, not able to be slung into any specific category or style and not relatable to any current bands. I find the best fitting description to their music is somewhat electronic indie pop mixed with powerful yet flowing beats and riffs, all thrown in with absolutely astonishing vocals. After their brilliant success of an album 'Faded Seaside Glamour' in 2004 the boys are back in 2006 with 'You See Colours', being preceded by a second UK tour in April. Let us delve...

Start and never stop!!

Advantages: Delicious and stays crunchy.
Disadvantages: Can't seem to stick to the recommended 30g serving!

...Seeing this on offer in Asda on my weekly shop I threw it into the trolley with no hesitation, firstly of course due to the reduced price, but secondly due to me loving this when I was a child! The product I will now review is - ?Kellogg?s multigrain Start cereal? This product is currently aimed at people who the product states as ?active people?, but if memory serves me well, this was advertised as a sports cereal when I was a child, though it is still the same delicious and wheat tasting cereal from youth, albeit smaller, although I can?t be sure if they have shrunk or I it is because I have grown! The cereal comes in the standard box with all the relevant information, with the afore mentioned slogan emblazoned across the front, yes I am active, though not so much by the time I eat my bowl of cereal, usually at suppertime...

...First of all,i have terrible skin.Dont get me wrong,its not covered in spots,but i suffer from terible redness that is not down to sensitive skin,but is in fact probably down to lifestyle. I am always after new lotions and potions that promise to help my skin look radiant and youthfull. However I must say that after using this product,i actually feel uncomfatable if i have to use any brand but time delay! These wipes are honestly in my opinion fantastic. They make your skin feel extremely nourished and also leave your skin feeling cool,as opposed to some that can make you feel hot and itchy. I must state that i do combine using the wipes with a time delay toner and a ponds hydro nourishing day cream.this way i cleanse then tone then moisturise for a very cheap price!...
