Not Special Delivery and not by 9am

Advantages: Good for people who are at home all day.
Disadvantages: No answer calling depot, re-arrange delivery is ignored and all blame each other.

...I found a Special Delivery item was sent to me as standard by a ticket agent. I wasn't in because although Special Delivery letters are guaranteed to be there by 9am, it said 10:22 on the note. There's a 50/50 chance that I will be at home until 9am but never after 10am. I went online and arranged for the letter to go to my local postoffice by Saturday. I was given a receipt from the Royal Mail website clearly stating the postoffice and the date the letter would be there. All I had to do was take ID and sign at the PO. On the Saturday however, I was in my house and at 10am was amazed to see a delivery note apparently posted through my door at 08:57. I had been in all morning so they could not have knocked the door. What's worse is that this meant my letter was on a posties round, in a bag, rather than in my nearby post office...

I live in a rural area which means deliveries can arrive at all times of the day so it is hard to plan your day if you are waiting for a delivery. Advantages: Less stress, knowing your midwife

Never again

Advantages: Door to door promised. Should have been fully trackable online.
Disadvantages: Desperately slow. Response to complaints very slow. Driver didn't attempt delivery when he said.

...must have reached the depths of their 'system' as I received a reply saying that the driver had tried to deliver the parcel, but there was no one in, and he had left a calling card. Not so - the building was occupied all day, reception was staffed, and people were milling around, but no one had set eyes on the mystery delivery man. Then the parcel details disappeared off their system completely. More emails. It was eventually delivered today, by, and I quote the residents, a 'rather unpleasant man who was about to walk away without delivering anything yet again' (and he actually had another parcel for another person in building as well!) Luckily he was cornered before he left and the parcels arrived safely. I figure my parcel would have been quicker and safer with the RM even though they were on strike! Almost 2 weeks from start...

She had tried it and absolutely loved it so I thought I might give it a go. However, 10 months later and I had got no further than having saved the link to my favourites. ...I am sat indoors waiting for a delivery that was ordered on the 18th november, today is the 29th. i had an email to say goods would be delivered on the 28th. the money was taken from our account on the 17th which is not what is stated on one of the several forms that accompanied my order. to say i am cross woud be an understatement as i am furious. i had hoped that ordering from M&S would be as easy as when i order my groceries from sainsburys, where there is never any problem. my husband is disabled which can make shopping from store to store difficult at times. however this will be the last time i use the m&s internet service as it it far more stressful....
