...Well yet again another one of my Ebay purchases to keep my system all Dell, and I only paid £10 for them LOL. I bought these as my PC didnt come with speakers, and it being a Dell I thought I may aswell buy Dell speakers. I came across a listing on Ebay and the seller was just down the road so I bought them. When I connected them up I was astonished. The sound quality is excellent for such a compact size. The subwoofer has a dial on the top to adjust the bass level and when that is turned write up it litterally makes the desk shake. Sound reproduction is excellent from the two stereo speakers to. With excellent trebel and midrage reproduction. These speakers go louder than my stereo system and sound brilliant. ...I must admit, I was more than a bit sceptical when I saw that Dell made a set of 5.1 speakers with a total power output of 100W. Dell are renowned for their PC Systems, but I never imagined they would start producing speaker systems! Let's start with what you see when you open the box. I must say, I was very impressed with the way Dell had packaged the kit. Each speaker had it's own little moulded holder in the polystyrene packing, and the subwoofer was packaged with protective film and the some very thick polystyrene board. Each wire is colour-coded, making it easy for anyone to wire the speakers up. Photo-type connectors reside on the ends of the satellite speaker leads, which plug firmly in to the back of the subwoofer with a satisfying 'click'. ...(Dell XPS 700) i have Windows XP operating system on it and i like Windows XP because it supports all my old pc games like Hitman Blood Money & Battlefield! And it is a gaming computer too! It was the first Dell XPS desktop i ever got and its one of the best computers i have ever got! It came with Dell speakers and subwoofer and a 15'' monitor! The only bad thing about it is that its really big and is realy noisey!!! But apart from that it is a really good computer! It has Neon lights in it and you can download software called Dell XPS Light FX and when you play music in Windows Media Player the lights change colours! And you can change these lights when you arnt playing music too.... Read review

...in minutes. Dell computers are extremley easy to set up as all leads etc are colour coded so basically anyone would find it easy to set up. I was pleasantly suprised with the inside of the system, having had bad past experiences with Time computers glueing components in making it only possible for an upgrade with a hacksaw! The dell computer opens up without the nead for a screw driver, each device inside like the CD Rom is neatly placed inside and very easy to remove my just pushing a clip, installing an additional hardrive was extremley easy and already had the cable inside which shows that Dell had actually thought about the consumers need to upgrade. The computer system itself runs applications and games perfectly and i am yet to have a problem with it. The price wasnt bad too for a top spec PC with printer, Speakers, Flat screen, large... ...I have had these speakers for around five years now, I got them free with my computer, when I purchased off the website. At the bottom of each speaker is the name Altec Lansing, who I presume even though these are Dell speakers were made by Altec. Although I could be wrong but why else would they be on each of the speakers. Nowhere on the speakers does it actually mention the word Dell. So really there is no proof that they are dell speakers except for the packaging they come in. In the box you got 2 speakers, with long cables. I find the easy way to display my speakers is to have one at each side of my computer, that way I also have sound at both sides. The instructions in the box were pretty easy to read and no installation disc was needed, you just set up the cables from the main speaker. The other one has a wire that leads... Read review

Advantages: 5 speakers, cheap

...I got these speakers for my dell computer (have a look at that review as well if you have time please) over a year ago now and I still have them hooked up and working really well. It is a 5.1 set of speakers meaning there a five satellites and a bass speaker. This means it has more of a surround sound feel but I really don't get that sense of feeling very well from this set of speakers so if it is a set of speakers with a good sense of surround sound it's not worth getting these ones in my point of view. BASICS This speaker system is pretty basic nothing really fancy going on with them. The system is a 72 watt system which can pack a punch when the volume is put up. It has a wired remote with a power/volume control on it and a bass level on it. I have noticed on mine though that the prints on it are upside down I don't know why... Read review

...What a computer, I bought this computer for only £500 with 1 GB RAM and 160 GB. I have used a lot of computers over the years but this one has to be the best. The computer is very reliable and I haven't had any major problems even though I use it a lot. The computer is extremely quick. Normally a lot of computers make a lot of noise with the fans with this computer it is complete silent. When all the programs are running the computer will not even slow down it will still be fast. I have this PC for both work and multimedia and nothing on the computer has gone wrong. The computer comes with a flat screen "17" monitor, sub woofer, speakers and the other normal accessories. The flat screen monitor is very good to have as it makes your computer look better. The PC comes with the latest Windows XP which I think is the best. I have used... Read review

...These speakers are excellent in every respect. They look stylish and sleek despite the size of the subwoofer, and deliver excellent sound at all volumes. There is a bass control in addition to the volume control, which is very useful as the bass potential of these speakers is very high, meaning ocassionally the more bass- heavy songs come across too powerful. However this is a problem easily fixed by turning the bass down a little. The subwoofer is very heavy, so will not be easily portable. Also the one disadvantage in my view is the presence of several unsightly large wires. There is one power cable, two cables leading from the subwoofer to each speaker, and a cable leading to the control box which in turn leads to the computer or audio device. All in all, this is an excellent speaker system but not good for portability.... Read review
